  1. May 27th and I just got approved tonight! About an hour ago. :)

If you're outside of the normal processing time CALL THEM! I feel like they will only do something if we harass them. That's what I did. My husband and I called on Thursday of last week when we realised that they moved the processing time up to May 31st cases. They said that an immigration officer would call me back within 3-5 business days, so I've been attached to my cell phone ever since. Needless to say, the never called, but I got (several) text and email notifications telling me that my case as has been updated. A new card is in the mail! Thank GOD.

Don't give up hope those of you who are still waiting. And if you haven't already, CALL THEM if you are outside of their processing times. Put a fire under their arses!

  2. Hi, everyone. I don't post often in here but I just (finally) updated my timeline ...three years after moving to the US!

Anyways, I just wanted to chime in regarding my application to remove conditions. I also filed in May and my case was received May 27th, 2016. I just noticed that the processing times were bumped up to the 31st for CSC, so I just submitted a case inquiry.

I'm starting to get pretty antsy and nervous. I'll be relieved when this step is finished and I can take a break from worrying before applying for citizenship!

  3. Hello! I'm living in the US with my husband, I came here on a K1-visa and I've applied for adjustment of status and currently have my employment authorization.

I need to file my Canadian taxes, but I'm a bit confused!

Do I file under my maiden name, because that's the name I was working under?

Do I need to change my name in Canada first as well? (haven't done that yet) And ...how do I do that?

I'm just so confused and different websites are telling me different things, any help would be greatly appreciated!

(Also, sorry for not updating my timeline, I'm going to do that asap. Life's been crazy!!!)

  4. I don't have any of my vaccine records, so I'm going to have to get the blood test done.

Quick Q though, I rarely visit doctors or hospitals and we don't have a family doctor (moved around a lot). Do I just go to a walk-in clinic and ask for a blood test or should I call the local hospital?
