Why have you not had a interview yet. June is a long time to be waiting.

Actually im waiting since July 25 , thats when packet 3 arrived at the embassy since then no word. Tried calling them nobody answers the line.

Im going to trust CEAC , it says im ready for interview and has status updated case to July 25 , so they did get my Packet 3.

Our lawyer also says Praia Embassy is notoriously slow , and theres word that they changed the Consular officer in the past month ...

Can DOS help me i the embassy keeps not picking the phone?

Well i present you a different scenario now. Checking my case number on the CEAC website i come across a number thats not explained and i cant find information about it!

Let me use same number as example : (MNL2007547002) after that theres a 01 .... so it would be MNL2007547002 01 MNL

so what that 01 means? is that a calendar date , is that a priority date? My embassy is PIA praia Capeverde

There is a timeline to get a medical and a visa, yes. If you communicate with the embassy and it takes longer, they will extend that time for you. If you do nothing, the petition approval will expire.

A K-1 just goes to NVC for a little bit to get logged and to be assigned a consulate case number. It's a technical aspect but nothing for you to worry about. Some people call NVC to get the case number to initiate communication with the embassy.

Are you sure of that? Im just waiting for packet 4 , you tell me that if i dont call them before the expiration date everything will be ended?

To be honest guys there is a backlog and a waiting time for interviews. At the moment London embassy interview dates are currently taking 6-8 weeks. The best thing to do is to call dos and confirm they have any forms you have sent and if they say they do your job is done all you can do is wait it out for the inter view date to be given to you.

Been CEAC ready since August 28th am still waiting on a interview date to be given. Yet I have done medical and filled out all forms including online DS-260 and I have done police cert. I am good to go but no interview date yet.

I tought the DS-260 only applied to those with processing cases , from september onwards . Or was it a specific request from your embassy? My case been NVC ready since June , and packet 3 didnt ask any ds-260. Maybe because its Cape verde Africa?
