  1. hello every one we are at the same shoes :(

i wonder if the history remembers any one getting green card in the mail in a month after receiving interview waiver letter?

is there such a person? :)

Someone from our group did! (October 2013 AOS Filers) username "Kumi and Drake" - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/457973-october-2013-aos-filers/page-32#entry6785289

She got an interview waiver and a week later her status changed to Card Production (Got Approved).

  2. As long as your I485 is pending you do not need to pay a fee to renew your EAD.

Another thing is if you get your drivers license while on EAD/AP it will only be valid as long as your EAD is valid.

For me not having a green card also means not being able to go to college because I would have to pay international student tuition, which we can't afford, obviously. I hate that there is nothing like EAD for people who need to go back to school that would allow schools to charge you as "in-state".

Great info! Thanks for that! :) Good luck, I hope you get your GC soon.

  3. I've been thinking about this, and was wondering, does this effect us in anyway? I have the EAD / AP card, so can work and travel abroad, but is there anything else I can't do until the GC decision?

Thought about it too, but seems like the only thing is: If the GC still isn't approved by the time the EAD/AP expires (though I think most cases get approved before then), you'd have to pay to renew the EAD/AP. I could be wrong. Any takers?

  4. Congratulations on your green card

i have a question to you so you said on May 1 AOS was approved and on May 8 you got green card in the mail

so they sent an e-mail to you letting you know your AOS got approved prior to mailing green card?

    thanks much

    Thank you!

Yes they did. I got several email and SMS case updates. You can read it on my blog post found on http://www.mrspresson.com/2014/05/26/finally-got-green-card-485-adjustment-status-aos-approved/

On some cases though, they didn't receive any alerts, just the surprise of getting the Green Card in the Mail. :)

    Good luck!

  5. I am December filer. I have been following Oct and December. We receive notice on April 27 that we have an interview on June 2. On April 22 I sent an address change for an address 1000 miles away from the interview. The notices crossed in the mail. We are now in process of trying to change interview location to Oregon. We figured if we have to go to California for the interview with travel costs and missed work it would cost us around $1300. Yikes. Hopefully we will hear something soon about the changed interview location. We are getting nervous..... USCIS have assured us that we would hear around May 22. Had to go to second tier supervisor twice. First one was cranky, second one was very kind.

Yikes! (Sorry uber delayed reply.) What happened to your interview? Was it moved to a nearer location?

Finally Green Card in production, should be here tomorrow May 29th. No interview, just that horrid long wait. Congratulations to all that have received theirs. See you all in 2 years!! :)

    Congratulations! :D

still waiting too oct 9 filer here :(

still waiting....oct 28 filer, status still interview and testing.... :crying:

How are you both doing? Any progress?

  6. Hi,

Just to update everyone, and possibly give an idea to those who are under the Saint Paul, MN Field Office. (I'm from North Dakota.)

    September 24, 2013 - Sent Application for AOS / EAD / AP (Front-loaded; Adjusting from a K1 Visa)

    October 2, 2013 - NOA 1

December 4, 2013 - Received EAD / AP Combo Card

January 17, 2014 - Received the Potential Interview Waiver dated January 10th

May 1, 2014 - AOS Approved (Without Interview)

May 8, 2014 - Received 2-year Conditional Green Card in the Mail

My AOS approval took about 7 months from NOA 1 / About 4 months from the Potential Interview Waiver. :)

  7. Finally! Congrats sis! ^_^

Thank you!!! Congrats on the new job too! :D

I contacted USCIS and we filed a service request since my case seems to be out of normal processing time. I just got an e-mail yesterday saying this:

The status of this service request is: On May 01, 2014, you contacted USCIS concerning Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Form I-485 was very recently received at our office and is presently pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your application. We hope this information is helpful to you.

It's been over 7 months now that I applied and this is getting really frustrating here. Especially knowing that people who applied after me are approved already at the same service center. I'm just trying to keep myself busy to not think about it!

    Good luck!!!!

i got the messaage i was waiting for for month wohooooooooo, its says

On May 13, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

If you do not receive your document, please contact our National

    Good Luck

    Finally! Congrats! :D

  8. Status changed twice today.

    1. This morning, from Decision it went to "Card Production" - mailed card to address on file)

    2. An hour ago, "Card Production" - with the USPS Tracking Number.Expected to be delivered this Friday

Anybody else who have news on theirs? I know a September filer from my field office (Saint Paul, MN) that is still on acceptance stage. :/

  9. Finally Mrs P!! Yay! Congrats! :) Ours changed back and forth too...we never got the tracking number in there like we did with the EAD (I don't think) but the card came a few days after the decision. :)

HAHA, Bout damn time it did! Almost everyone I know who filed after me got interviews or their GC's in the mail and I was still stuck in limbo. Finally, it happened! YAY! Thanks for wishing us luck before! :D :D :D

  10. At 9:45 AM yesterday my Case Status was:

At 7:30 PM last night my status switched to:

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

    Your Case Status: Decision

On May 1, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

It seems like it's a normal thing to expect with cases being approved. Status switching back and forth. Will update you guys when my case status gives out a tracking number. IF it will still update to that.

congratulations !!!!!!!!!!! for us that might be still along Journey , our local office were processing end of july as of and of March and another couple months

    Thanks! Good luck! :)

  11. My status finally updated today to Card Production! Hooray! :D Great way to start my birth month! <3

Just for everyone's info. (Might help those who have the same Field Office)

I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status - October 12, 2013

    N-400 Application for Naturalization - October 15, 2013

N-600 Application for Certification of Citizenship - 5 Months

  12. thank you!!

I sent in our lease, joint bank statements, pass joint tax returns, pictures of us from college, our wedding, us & our son. I also sent in credit card statements and bills that had both our names. Basically everything i could find lol

Haha, that's great! Congrats again! :)

sorry Mrs P - glad work is keeping you busy. :) My hubby is not as lucky on that front...he had to get other transcripts from the UK that he didn't think he'd need and that's delayed us from getting his teaching degree converted but hopefully that will be done next month so we can hopefully secure a teaching position for him for September. If we had to do this over again, as a teacher I think we would have been better off doing the other marriage visa where you wait a little longer but when he got here, he'd have the green card and we could have timed it better for him for teaching. oh well - too late now!

Looking at the bright side, hopefully everything will be done next month! Hope your husband will find a teaching job soonest (after transcripts and all)! :)

Here's what our status changed to this morning! No interview, but did receive the potential interview waiver in the mail maybe a couple months ago. If i understand that correctly, approval?!?!

    Decision

On April 24, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. Yes that is an Approval! :D Woot! Congrats! :D

  13. Just got out of my interview! Approved and stamped on the spot!! Interview lasted 10 mins my IO Mr P was great we were relaxed chatting it went great he asked us NO QUESTIONS except the ones from the form said I'll have my green card in a week and stamped my passport I busted out in tttteeaarrrrsssss! I got permanent residence no condition so he said see you in 3 yrs for citizenship. Good Luck to everyone!!!!! Thank you for all the support through out these months!

Btw he said it was due to my package I sent in that he had all the evidence nice he needed. I sent in everything we had and pictures. He did take one recent picture of us.

WOW. Very great news! I'm very happy for you! :D

Quick question: what were the evidences that you sent?

  14. another week will start lets all hope that we will hear the good new soon :)

The week is almost done but no news on my end. Boooo USCIS. LOL

Hi Mrs P - I don't think what is posted as the date is accurate - Newark still says they are working on August and they said they had our case for a few weeks ready to approve waiting for the medical results to miraculously show up. Hopefully you will hear something soon! :)

Still with crossed toes right now! Haha Work's keeping me busy at least.

  15. My wife Elizabeth received her green card yesterday. As with all of you we filed AOS in October. Elizabeth received her combo card on January 5th and shortly after that received the interview waiver letter. Of course it said it might be a six month wait for the green card. Yesterday (April11th) she received the welcome to the United States letter and also the green card in the same day. Yesterday was my birthday so it was a very happy day. I pray everyone else that received the interview waiver letter will receive their green card very shortly.

Thanks to God and God Bless everyone

I received the Interview Waiver letter in January and, like a few others it seems, I received confirmation that my AoS application was approved yesterday.

Good luck to all who are still waiting! :)

Woot woot! Congrats you both! :dancing:

  16. UGH. Anytime soon. HOPEFULLY. What's the hold up, St. Paul MN?! >_<

    uscis-stpaulmn_zpsacdc94ce.png

Why would local field office processing impact us who got interview waivers?

October Filer - AOS approved today 3/26/14 - Interview Waiver 1/10/14

Looks like Oct processing is picking up and all the other ones still waiting should be seeing activity soon.

    Good luck everyone!

Because the interview waivers are actually a result of slow processing and pile up of cases? It seems that they're still sorting out through tons of applications. AND CONGRATS on the approval! We hope we'll hear (approval) news soon too. Would really hate to drive to Bloomington MN for an interview. Ugh. That means both my husband and I would have to miss at least 2 days of work.

After biometric in november we received the EAD in December and it went to Interview & testing stage for 3 months until i got interview letter by mail. My case is still on T&I right now. I had even spoken to someone the day i received my mail and they didnt have any updates for me neither. uscis has alot going on i guess smh

    GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

    Good luck! :)

We got our green card in the mail yesterday.

So, I'm back to Woo Hoo!! and I see all you guys again in about 21 months.

    Congratulations! See ya! :)

Glad to see a lot of October filers getting their GCs. Congrats to all!

For us, we got a call from our attorney on Thursday that our local office lost my husband's medical records. It was the "troubleshooter" in our local office said he has our case, has been waiting for the medical to show up so he can approve it..does not need to interview us, etc. but we then had to go get another medical. Unbelievable. So the dr took him Thursday and he has to go back tomorrow (not sure how many docs are open on Sundays but this one is) and get his TB test measured.

We could either go there in two weeks and give him the results but since our lawyer was going to immigration next week anyway, he's going to bring it for us...so we should be approved and have our green card very soon. Of course we had to pay for that mishap ($250). Thankfully my hubby had his paperwork from his doctor with his immunizations because if he had gotten them in London, that would have been lost ..unreal. Can't wait until we can be done with the gov't for the next 2 years..ugh.

Yikes. That's a pain in the a**. Good luck. At least there's movement for you! Can't wait to get this over and done with too! :|

i filed in october , but based on our local office i do not think i will hear something until June as our local office was processing June 26 by end of february

i hope i can hear something sooner

    Good luck!

  17. i would like to ask....i already have my CFO certificate and just confused after i got my visa packet am i going to go back to CFO for the sticker or they will include my passport with sticker when delivering my visa packet? anyone have idea on it? please...

Your visa packet with your passport will be delivered by 2go, or you'll pick it up from 2Go (depending on which method you chose if it's delivery or pick-up). You will have to go to CFO carrying your passport with you, don't forget to bring the CFO certificate AND receipt. You have to present it to them and they will affix the Emigrant Sticker on your passport. You don't have to pay anything at this point.

    More info on: http://mrsprsn.us/CFO

  18. Finally received interview letter after 3months!!!! My interview is for April 23 LIC

I received the mail today march 21st but no texts/email I even spoke to someone this morning about my case and they had no update but I just got the letter in the mail. Weird but I'm thankful!!! Good luck everyone

This happened to us as well! We got a letter in the mail setting our interview for April 24 (no texts/emails and I spoke to them on the phone just last week). So excited though! I was really surprised because at last update our field office said it was only processing August applications. So I guess sometimes the processing estimates are off!

That's definitely good news! It means processing is moving along. Hopefully, we'd get something soon too! :D (Our Field Office, Saint Paul MN, is stuck at August 20, 2013 as of January 31st 2014!)

  19. No updates for me! (Just that 'fluke' with my AP Case Number, but nothing since then. Boooo. LOL)

Just received the email that says that our AOS has been approved and that the card is in production.

    Woo Hoo!

Will update again when the actual card arrives.

    Congratulations! :D

Congratulations! This is awesome! smile.png I just saw that your local office is Milwaukee also. I filed on October 4th, so I really have my hopes up that I will hear some news soon too biggrin.png

Good luck! Will cross my fingers for you! :D

  20. Never have to apologize Mrs P - so glad you found a job..are you liking it? smile.png My hubby is applying now...hopefully will get something soon!

That is odd about the AP thing. Maybe Monday you will see something move on the GC?

We had an odd thing happen with the website. I used to get the emails as the USC when we were still going through the K1 process..and when I tried to log in, it said it had been too long and wouldn't let me change my login. So i made one with my hubby's name and email and that was going fine and all of sudden, it said we had been locked out - yet, it hadn't been too long - we had checked it the day before. so now we have to just rely on the home check your status screen without being logged in or getting any notifications. Have you heard of that happening before? I wonder if I can create a new acct with a different email although I think I tried that and I couldn't. dang USCIS!

I called USCIS yesterday at work and I was #84 in line for tier 2. LOL I had them call me back though so that I don't lose my spot in the waiting line. They called me back just as I was going home from work in -20+F weather! UGH. :))

Work is going great. I like it a lot. I came from working in a digital advertising firm which was really fast-paced. Having to work for a software company that's slower-paced is very refreshing. I get to be productive at my own rate and produce (better) quality output.

Regarding your USCIS account: Yeah, it happens when it doesn't have any activity. You get locked out. It happened to my husband's account. Then we were able to retrieve the password. ALTHOUGH...Yes you can definitely create a new account. That's what I did. In my husband's account, he had my case receipts added so he gets news. And I created a new account and added in the same case receipts on my USCIS account, so I get updates through email and SMS too. :)

I hope your hubby gets good news with the job hunt soon! :D

    Got GC today !

    Woot woot! Congratulations! :D

That might be a good sign! You might receive your GC soon! biggrin.png

I really hope so! I talked to an Immigration Officer yesterday and he said, it's nothing. Just a lapse/lag in the system (WOW 3 months of lag?!). That I should be ok because I have my EAD/AP and should be busy with work. That's it. LOL. How's job hunting for you going?

  21. Hi all. Apologies, been extremely busy with work.

Anyway, weird thing about my AP status happened today. Note that I already have my EAD/AP Combo Card but both my husband and I got an alert through sms and email that my I-131 / AP status had changed, that my address was updated. I got excited, I thought I was getting news about my GC. Oh well.

Got my potential interview waiver on January 17th (letter dated Jan 10th). Still no movement on my AOS Case Status.
