  1. hello guys? just want to ask. my interview is on July 11. I kinda need help on when I should do my medical exam? my husband want me to do it on July 4 coz he's thinking it will save us money if i'll stay manila from my medical exam till the interview day (coz im from tacloban, far from manila). But i am thinking do you think that is so close? the medical results, can i get it in one day or st lukes has to send it to my home address? help please.

It's not too close. If its ok with you to stay in manila for a week waiting for your interview.

  2. You can fill it out again online and print the new form.

You can either reprint it or do not worry about it. At this stage it is most important that the BENEFICIARY'S name is correct as that will be what the name on the visa is and it must match the passport that it is placed into. How is anybody going to know the correct name of the petitioner? Maybe USCIS will and maybe the IO at the Embassy/Consulate will and then the beneficiary can have it corrected. If it is easy to reprint then do so, otherwise it is not that big of a deal.

    Good luck,

    Dave

    Ok ty dave and redvelvet..

  3. Hi! all I have a question again. I hope I get answer this time.

When me and my son come to US my parents is the sponsor. I know my parents obligation end when I become a US citizen.

What I hear is my son(minor) become a US citizen automatically when a parent become US citizen.

My question is about my son. My son is on my I-864 already.

Do i need to put my son on my parents I-864 household size(Part 5 21f)?

  4. Hi! all. I have a few question on I864 and I-864A.

I'm the US citizen applying for my spouse. I have low income(around 10,000 a year) I live with my parents.

They are my co-sponsor. My mother will have the I-864 because she is still working and my father will use I-864A

because he is retired and will be using his pension as his income if this right.

    Here are my question:

    1. My mother file I-864 and father I-864A? Is this right?

    2. On mother I-864 part 1. What to check? I am the only joint sponsor or I am the first?

    On I-864A:

What to Write in these questions?(Pls. See Attachment)

    Question A?

    Question B?

    Question C?

    Question D?

    Question E?

I just want to make sure if I what I do is right.Thank you.

  5. PR is permanent resident.

were you born a USC or were you naturalized? If you are a naturalized citizen then you have an A (alien registration) number that you had as a Legal Permanent Resident. They want that number on the back of the photo if you've have one. If you do not then do not put anything.

It is asking for a petitioner photo only.

I'm naturalized Citizen. Your answer is what exactly what i need and want to hear.

I'm now happy thinking what I did was right. Thank you very much.

  6. Why would you have a A Number for sombody who you are petitioning for a cr1 ?? I thought u get a PR when you get here????!?

I don't understand your question completely. What is PR?

That A number USCIS ask made me confuse. What is that number they want me to put at the back of the photo?

The A number in the letter is that the one they want me to put at the back of the photo?

  7. I would have the passport pictures retaken at an authorized passport picture location, write the name and A# on the back with a sharpie, place it in a ziplock bag, staple to the paperwork they sent, and mail it back priority mail with delivery confirmation or signature required.

Thank you! Almost same with what I do except that I put it in a small envelope with name and A number on back and I used pencil.

    What is a "A" number?

That A number on top of the letter is A with random 9 numbers.

  8. Hi all! I attach papers that I receive from USCIS requesting for passport photo.(Please see attachment)

It's late that I ask this just now because I already send my reply to USCIS.

But now I have some concerns or worries thinking if I did it right.

It looks like simple RFE but it still gave me concerns.

I'm posting this to ask VJ members and experts.

How to properly reply to this?

  9. If you put the old(first) A number on the back of picture as you mentioned in your first post, then no ned to do anything. IT's not critical but I do understand your concern. The picture(and name) is most important. The A number just makes it easier on the USCIS folks, especially if they misplace it. We're all just a bunch of numbers at USCIS anyways(case file number, ss number, A number etc).

Personally I'd suggest you just keep an eye on your case status online, see when it updates.

You can also call them up (the phone number is on your NOA) and ask if they have received your RFE response and when it was received. Wait around a week to do that. When calling, you can just not press anything, wait until someone says something in Spanish and then you ask for an English speaking operator. Call in the morning if possible - less waiting.

Tier one operators can't see anything more than you so if your tier 1 operator seems clueless, ask to be transferred to a tier 2 operator/human.

I realize my reply is more than what you asked for but at least you're aware how to go about the calling-USCIS-survival-kit.

I know it's not critical. It's just a small mistake if they really changed my(USC petitioner) alien number.

I'm just scared because I don't want to get denied again and start all over again.

    Thanks again for the reply.

  10. Yes it is for your fiance or spouse. Its alll over VJ for years. EVERYONE who is an immigrant to the US needs an A number.

First of all, Im a natural BORN citizen so Ive never had an A number and I never will. So its not referring to petitioners of course. Also u can conlude that cuz they would NEVER change a persons A number who is already a citizen(VERY rare).

Uscis will assign your fiance or husband who is foreign, an A number. That is like his ID number so he can come to the us. it is assigned before his NOA2.

    :)) Hope you understand

That post your referring to seems like one of the very rare things and it could be for so many things. But if you look or ask around everyone get their fiance or spouses A number before NOA2.

Ok I understand you well. I also have read somewhere that A number never changed it go with the person for life.

For now i will consider this post(http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/415103-alien-number-on-noa2-hardcopy/page__p__5984695__fromsearch__1#entry5984695) as a rare case.

Sorry if I make confusion to others who read this post. I will update after I get result of my case.

    Thank you for your reply.

  11. Dear VisaJourney,

I'm a US citizen (petitioner) in the CR-1 immigration process for my wife (beneficiary). We filed I-130 last August and got our NOA2 (six months later) last week.

Did you receive notice like your alien registration number has changed before your NOA2?

On our NOA2 hardcopy, there is an alien number printed inside the petitioner box (which contains my name).

However, that alien number is not the same as my actual alien number (which was assigned to me long ago when I came to USA).

Furthermore, the beneficiary box (which contains my wife's name) does not have an alien number at all. :bonk:

Is this normal? Did USCIS accidentally print my wife's alien number in the petitioner box? Or did they not yet assign an alien number to my wife?

Due to this confusion, I'm unable to complete my I-864 form (which asks for my wife's alien number). :help:

    Please help!

  12. Well sounds like ur talking about something a bit different :) we are talking about the A number that will be assigned to our foreign fiance for when he or she comes to live in the states. Not the old one they have (most foreign fiances never had an A number) All fiances will be assigned one so thAT they can come and live in america and AOS.

I am talking about the message that we receive in the status updates. Like this (On January 10, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

I think this is not for fiance or spouse because I see 1 guy post that his alien registration(the petitioner) is different in his NOA2.

    See this post: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/415103-alien-number-on-noa2-hardcopy/page__p__5984695__fromsearch__1#entry5984695

I wonder if he receive like your alien registration number was changed message too.

  13. This alien registration number changed is nothing if you don't get rfe that needs A number.

I receive rfe (passport photo) that needs A number at the back. What I put is my old A number.

It's late when I saw the new A number in the rfe letter. This A number gave me confusion.

I hope my petition will not get denied because of this. And I hope they send new naturalization

Certificate if they changed my A number.
