Do I need the stamp or just an extension letter? I thought you need the stamp on your passport when your extension letter expires...

Actually, it is for my wife. She doesn't have a NICOP. She has a valid Pakistani passport and a GC (which is expiring in October) We are thinking to fly in September with Emirates. We are going to Karachi. Not sure if officials at Karachi would not allow us or maybe give hard time while coming back to US...

Hi all, does anyone has any experience on traveling to Pakistan on expired green card along with an extension letter? Do Pakistani officials on the airport give hard time? If anyone traveled to Pakistan recently with expired GC w/ an extension letter please post your experience.

You are good to go. Nothing more is needed. DS260 is the online version of DS230 and only certain countries are allowed to fill it not Pakistan.

Had an interview at Islamabad embassy on 6 August 2013 and as usual they put me in AP..

Beneficiary is Male and category is CR1.. They retained my passport and give my all original docs back to me.. Even CO didn't ask for the wedding pictures.. Which is very strange for me on that moment.

Yesterday my status updated and changed to Ready from AP on 12 sept 2013.

Today morning it changed to AP and now in evening it changed to issued on the same day means 13 sept 2013... YAYYYYYY Finally a moment of JOY and Happiness ... i am so excited right now and thought to share my story here on great VJ forum which really help me a lot through all my journey..

It updated today Sep 13th. It was Ready for 1 day and then today it went back to AP. I was waiting in AP for 1 month already and before that it used to say Ready for a month. I think this backandforth status is a good sign. I have seen few people here who had the same and they finally got their visas issues.

Yes it said Ready for just 1 day. Then today it is saying AP again.

Same here bro. I have a feeling that it's a good thing. Lets wait and watch and see what happens COB today.

Usman, please keep us posted as to when you get the call to pick up the visa. My status just changed few hours ago and went back to AP. InshaAllah Im hoping that it will be Issued in a day or two.

It can take somewhere between 2 weeks to 3 months or more. I'm still in AP and it has been 2 months....

It has been exactly 2 months today and still in AP.

I'm in USA. InshaAllah I'll help u since Alhamdulillah I've gone through this process.

Yahya bhai, if your wife had stayed 6 months or more then you suppose to mention it in G325A. Since your wife stayed there for 1 month only you don't need to mention it.
