could it be a false RFE? i've just sent the IV package on DEC 07 2015 with ATTN CMR.

Hi all,
whenever you pay your IV bill, you get a document coversheet related to the processing of the application. In our case it was DS-260. So after i've completed the form, i was provided a document cover sheet addressed with ATTN CMR, with all the other address field remaining the same. .i.e 31 rochester, suite 100, portsmouth NH.....
A few days later i've got a checklist of items, and this time its telling me to forward my mails with ATTN DR. And i should submit all documents with orignal/certified photocopy.
I'm confused. Also, its stating that i've never submitted the AOS. Eventhouh i've called the customer service rep, and verified that it was received and processed in October this year and it yielded no checklist.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

I felt odd that i'd have to carry petitioners original birth certificate to the interview.

my uncle is the petitioner, and i'm sending his certified birth certificate and a photocopy of it to the National Visa Center. Now for the interview in the US Embassy of Bangladesh, do i have to carry the original certificate or just another certified copy would be fine.

No, i never requested a name change on the birth certificate.
Yea it was the embassy that generated the birth Certificate based on looking at the passport.
The passport contains Personal Number, which is tied to the birth certificate number. so hopefully, changing the last name wont' affect the link between passport and birth certificate.

on the I130 F4 case, my mom's birth certificate was hand written back in the days contained her name as Jane Doe (Doe is parent's last name)
My uncle (John Doe) applied for my mother using her birth name Jane Doe
when Jane Doe got married her name changed to Jane Boyle
She applied for passport and it contains name Jane Boyle
During digitization of passport in Bangladesh, they generated a digital copy of the birth certificate using the name Jane Boyle from her passport.
The convention in the US is that, if a woman gets married, her passport would always carry her husbands last name or birth last name, but the birth certificate last name never changes.
So, do i stick to this convention and make correction to the name in the birth Certificate back to Jane Doe, or leave it as Jane Boyle?

I have 4 brothers who live in the states currently. My petitioner (younger brother) has been living in the states since 1988, and I've moved to Dubai when in 1993. Besides my visits to states in 2006 and 2009, i really don't have anything to prove my ties to my brother(petitioner). I speak to him over the phone once in a while, since i have lots of other family members including my son whom i speak to very often. number of pictures are limited. Is there anything else besides photos, i could take with me to the interview for consular interviewing.

when i asked about relief. i meant any circumstances that could be shown to get this approved. Such as financial dependacy... etc.

if my mom got her LPR, if she applied for my brother under F2B, would his priority date be the original priority date i.e. 05/28/2002 like this article is indicating or am i reading this wrong.
since, the current running year for F2B is 2010, it would seem he would have a visa available immediately. Too good to be true.

Approval Notification Date: 07/24/2009
Unfortunately, due to old address in file, the notification arrived too late in 2010.
I've recently reopened the case by paying the AOS fee, and IV fees.
My brother who is 24. according to CSPA rule should be 24 - 7 years processing = 17 years CSPA age. but since he didn't seek to get a visa within 1 year of visa becoming available, wondering if there is any relief??
like the one below:
Q. Are people who did not file an application for permanent residence within one year of the visa becoming available still able to apply under CSPA?
A. Generally, no. However, because of the recent change in interpretation of the CSPA, USCIS will permit certain individuals to apply outside of this one year period.
Individuals that are eligible to apply for permanent residence under CSPA after one year of a visa becoming available include:
- Beneficiaries (or derivatives) of a visa petition that was approved prior to August 6, 2002 AND
- had not received a final decision on an application for permanent residence based on that visa petition prior to August 6, 2002 AND
- the visa became available on or after August 7, 2001 AND
- who met all of the other eligibility requirements for CSPA (see above)

my uncle filed I-130 petition for my mother who was approved in 2009. But we didn't proceed with the visa processing and didn't send the 90 dollar fee to indicate that we are proceeding. Now what are the chances of reopening that file and sending the 90.00 fee to proceed with it after almost 5 years.

Hi All - Adding us to the February filers. We mailed our ROC on Thursday 14th and delivery was attempted on Saturday 16th. I think I goofed by sending it express with signature to the PO Box, so it won't get signed for until Tuesday when I guess they're picking up everything delivered after Friday? I'm not sure if today's a public holiday for the USCIS lol. I'm anxious to get my extension letter, since my DL expires on March 10th along with my GC and I am literally not allowed to work without a valid license (I'm an EMT).

If you do file your 2012 tax return, make sure you send in tax transcripts or your w-2's. If you can't get tax transcripts, send in your w-2s. I have sent in my ROC package yesterday for my wife and we had sent in our w-2s instead of tax transcripts for the year 2012. What i did was, i got our taxes file 3 days ago and i made copies of our tax return. I also made copies of our w-2s and i sent it in with our package. The reason why we didn't send in tax transcripts is becaused it will take the IRS to processed our 2012 taxes about 4 to 5 weeks or sometimes longer and USCIS knows it. You will be fine. Just make sure if you do send in your 2012 tax return, send in your w-2s. Good luck my friend.
i got my transcripts for 2012 from irs already. i requested them on the 4th of Feb and got them on 11th. I filed my taxes through H&R BLock online around 1-31-13.

I applied for removing conditions today, and on the check for 590, i wrote the payee info as "USCIS" instead of "US. Department of Homeland Security" like it asked in the instructions. I didn't pay much attention to the payee part.
Now will they return my application and check due to the incorrect payee information?

my expiry date is 4/14/2013 for my conditional GC. From what i've been hearing, Vermont center is behind by 7 to 8 months for removal of conditions or I751 processing so my file wont get processed until Nov 2013. Due to financial reasons, i wanted to apply 03/01/2013, instead of 01/14/2013. so, wanted to get your opinion on this.

when we needed to submit the supporting documents, i've sent in a certified photocopy/ 2 photocopies of the BC's.
right now we're waiting on the review to complete and get a checklist of items to be brought during the interview.
will let you know, once we hear anything. our interview most likely would take place sometime at the end of Feb 2016.
