Yes, I think so too. Let us know what they say. My husband just got his visa approved in Ankara today. How many days did it take you to receive the visa packet?
My wife went last thursday and got her visa today around 9 am Turkish time. However you might have chance to get it this friday but that's a low chance. They tell you 5 business days at the embassy, which is that maximum amount of days to wait.
-
As long as everything inside looks good, I would take my chances.
Thank you,
I will call the US embassy in Ankara tomorrow just in case. From what I been hearing is that as the most important part is the brown envelope.

Hey guys, I have a major problem. My wife passed the interview and I purchased the flight ticket and we were so happy that we got our packet with visa shipped till we saw that the Immigrant data summary sheet stapled on the packet belongs to something else. My wife said she peaked through the packet there was a small opening in the corner (not torn or damaged) she was able to see that the documents in the package had her name. So our guess is that they stapled the wrong immigrant data summary paper. would this be a problem when she arrives.
By the way I did pay her immigrant fee (I-551). She is traveling in two days.

I have just called the NVC and they told me send in my original marriege certificate. Is that true or an official certified copy of original is okay? I got it translated and scanned the original copy, went to the notery in Turkey and got a government approved stamp on it. When I sent it, I got a check list so called the NVC and they said the papers are going on review through the supervisor, however I need to send the original certificate and they will give it back at the embassy during the interview. Should I or not send the original?

I have gotten an email from NVC stating:
Dear Sir/Madam:
The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: ANK2########### filed by "my name" on behalf of "wife's name".
We received the principal applicant's DS-3032 (Choice of Address and Agent) form designating an address and agent. Instructions for paying the immigrant visa application processing fee and all future correspondence will be sent to the agent at the address selected on the DS-3032.Is this the DS-3032 acceptance letter?
I have just shipped out my i-864 tuesday, should be there this morning. Can't wait till I get through the DS-230.
Ohh, and speaking of DS-230, I have read Saylin's thread and it says that we need to includes:
- Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary
- Original or Certified Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY
- Original or Certified Copy of marriage certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY
- Original police certificate(s)However some say that Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport would be sufficient. Is this true?

You can only send packages in AFTER the respective bill has been paid. If you haven't paid the IV bill, then you shouldn't send the IV package in (it'll only delay things).
Each package has their own bar-coded cover sheet. The AOS bill one is for the AOS package, the IV bill one is for the IV package.
The operator you got was confused. She was probably thinking that both bills have been paid. Then you can send both packages together (with their respective cover sheets as the first page for each). But, until the bill is paid, you shouldn't send the respective package.
Thank you Saylin, thats what I thought makes more sense.
I have another question, should I wait to send my AOS package till the AOS bill is marked as "Paid" or send it during pending?
-
I have Just paid the AOS bill online and called NVC to see if I can send in the I-864, and the lady actually said that I can mail both I-864 and DS-230 together. My question is that I have not gotten the invoice for IV, is it possible to send it?
Also once I paid for AOS, I got a barcode cover letter. Is this cover letter good for both I-864 and DS-230 or I get a different cover letter for DS-230.
The lady got me confused by saying that you can submit both applications at once with the cover letter I have, but I assume to get another cover letter after the IV payment.

It's been taking as much a several weeks to get a case number after the NOA2, yes.
You also need an Invoice ID number. You can call the NVC to see if one has been generated for you yet.
The online payment portal has been having trouble, so don't get too freaked out if no invoice appears. I'm not sure how they plan to fix it, but you can always call and ask what they recommend to avoid delay.
Ohh, I got my case number, they are telling me that it will take several weeks for me to get the email. It doesn't make since to me that it only takes a minute to send the email if I am already assgined a case number.
But I'll just go ahead and ask for the invoice ID # to make the payment.
-
I called to get my NVC case #, however they are saying that I will receive an email within 2 weeks. It already has been a montth and 2 days. Is this something normal?
I also wanted to know if I can pay my receipt, since I know my case number?
-
Yes, call NVC. They will ask you the applicant name/DOB. Your name/DOB and they will read you your email which they should have on file. In my case they had the wrong email. I don't think they will send anything to you wife. Here is the NVC number (603) 334-0700
Thanks for the help, I have been waiting, nearly a month as well. I'll call to make sure everything is going smooth.
-
I would say just wait for the Choice of Address and Agent (DS-3032) form. BUT make sure they have your correct email address!! I just received the COA form in the email. It took them a month. I could have received it a week earlier but they somehow got my email wrong
thanks for the reply, how would I know if they have my email address? Do I call the NVC to have them email the packets to me or I wait till they send the DS-3032 to my wife?
-
If you can just email it from beneficiary's email account, that's fastest way. No need to attach scanned copy of DS3032 to the email. Also, no need to mail the form if you are doing the email.
How do you email the DS3032, only thing I have for now is just NOA2 and have not received naything after that. Is it something you get online or I have to wait till they send it to my wife?

and...... FINALY I AM APPROVED OMG!!!! Can't believe this!
-
Alhamdulillah, I got a text around the same time 10:45 EST! I looked online and my case has been approved I'm an Aug 6th 2012 filer.
Allahumme meassabireen.
Ahh, hope I get mine soon. I lost hope to be honest, cause I heard that the consolute in Ankara is not processing new appliants at this time. So be it and NOA2, who knows when the consolute will gives an appointment?
-
I am 06th August 2012 filer.
Hang in their guys.
We gotta an August 13th filer just today, OMG, can't wait!!!
-
i filed in july and still have no answer. so don't think august is next because you can get approved at any time, there is no specific order to who is getting approved
There is no doubt about that as you can see from the link I have posted previously that dates are inconsistant. How ever we have just got an August 10th approval today! So who knows we might be next
-
That's great for them.
But that doesn't change what I said.
If you check the USCIS site for time lines they are a month behind everytime they post a new chart. Perhaps if you read carefully it says "Field Office Processing Dates for Vermont Service Center as of: December 31, 2012" for the posting on Feb. 5th.
That's exactly why visajourney has their own timeline with live updates, where people post their NOA2 notifications to have people see the actual date they are processing. For the past two weeks, people from july 7th to July 30th have gotten approved. This tells us that they are randomly working on the month of July. It might take them another week to finish it.
Please check this link to see the updated progress as the members are posting their approved NOA2:
Thank you!

Something doesn't make sense there.
They just moved to the beginning of June.
If you check the immigration timelines for Vermont on this site you will see that a user had posted a july 24 NOA1 accepted to NOA2 at march 1st
-
The July 24h filer that got NOA2 was his/her case K1 or K3?
CR1 was the case.
-
Good news for Vermont August filers! Just checked the timeline and saw July 24 filer post for NOA2 for March 1. This means that they are soon to start August. How soon? Well I waited 7 months (in 3 days), couple of weeks wont hurt
-
I got just got an email saying my case has been APPROVED!!! I'M so happy!! all other Aug filers your approval is right around the corner. god is good!
thats if you are with NBC, I am stuck with VSC, it sucks, they are still on June
-
Yehey! We got an email saying that our I-130 petition is approved! Is this this actual NOA2??? The email said to wait for the actual mail to come after. What happens now? Is it going to be fast from here on? We requested for expedite but are now considering not pushing through if this route will be faster.
Btw, I am already 3 months pregnant and we want to deliver our baby there. The medical care I received during our month long vacation last December was incomparable! They really know what they are doing in the hospital and we think it is best for the baby to be born there.
The latest I should be in the plane is 7 months so I hoping this will all work out for us in 4 months! Is it possible? Or shall we try the expedite thing? just happy that we are finally moving forward!
Where was your service center? Vermont?
Immigrant Data Summary

Apparently the Immigrant Data summary paper was important. I found this out when I called the embassy. They were very nice about this and send me the copy via email immediately. She is on the flight now and should be landing in 4-5 hours
