  1. One more question. How did you pay for the filing fee? I don't have any US checks, so how am I supposed to pay it?

  2. ...and it's been impossible for me to get a job. So financially its a problem if he can't go to the US with me because we have 3 children, one of which can't be put in daycare because of the risk of infection. I just hope we can at least get the i-130 approved because once that is approved we have a bit more options to go through as far as a visa or temp visa for him.

  3. I did see we can always file for a change of status, if we go there and file it before the 90 days is up. A friend of mine who married a dutch guy did that as well. It's an extra $1000 but we can get it all done at the USCIS office in our city. We might get it expidited because our son has a rare medical disorder and we wont have jobs here in the Netherlands...

  4. We are going to file the I-130 form right after New Years. I think we will just have to wait and see and pray it goes quickly. If we don't have the approval befor April then I'm not sure what we are going to do. Just have to file and wait and see I guess.

  5. Hi,

I am looking for some help with filing for my husbands visa. I am a US citizen and married to a Dutch man. We have been married 5 years, and would like to move back to the US in April. I saw that you have filed your I-130 form and I was wondering how you went about it. Did you file directly with the consulate in Amsterdam or with the Chicago Lockbox? Any info would be helpful. Thanks -...
