We received an RFE for our AOS (I-485) August 2014 (Nebraska office) and still haven't heard anything. What should we do? We've contacted our Senator. We've called USCIS to open a case to look into our file since it was past 60 days. It has been 90 days since we filed a case for them to investigate. This is very frustrating because we want to travel back to Canada so my daughter can visit her grandmother. I know we can still travel because we have the travel document (advanced parole) but we do not want to risk it and not travel until my husband has his green card.Any ideas on why we haven't heard anything? Has anyone experienced the same thing? Is there anything else we can do?Does it matter that we live in Houston and our paper work is in the Nebraska office?Any advice would really help. Our timeline is as follows:December 29, 2013 – My fiancé entered to United States with a K1 VisaJanuary 4, 2014 – We got marriedJanuary 16, 2014 – Notice of Action for the Adjustment of Status (I-485)June 19, 2014 - Our daughter was bornAugust 1, 2014 – Request for EvidenceAugust 22, 2014 – Request for Evidence was received by USCISOctober 21, 2014 – Filed a service request to look into our case since it was past 60 days since our RFE

We were approved back in June and now we are waiting for our Package 3. The US Consulate in Montreal emailed me last week asking for my fiance's proof of Canadian citizenship. We scanned in the proper documents (passport and citizenship card) as requested and emailed it back. We are patiently waiting for our package but it seems like forever. Why did they need proof of citizenship? Can that be a set back or are these processing times correct?
I've tried calling the US Conuslate in Montreal but I can't get through. We even stopped by the consulate and couldn't get in to talk to any one.
Please help with any tips or advice.

By any chance was your file transferred to another office?
Ours was transferred to the texas office.

We are in the process of waiting for the NOA2. Is there any benefit in sending more evidence? Since initially sending in the paper work we have had many visits, vacations, and engagement ceremonies.
Is there even a way to send in more?

Should we start planning for our wedding? What if we plan for the wedding and the paperwork takes too long, and our wedding date comes before our paperwork is done? Is it ok to have the wedding even though the paper work is not done?
I want to be able to plan ahead, but its hard with the future unknown.
