Monday, March 18, 2013 = Destination Service Area:
MANAGUA - MANAGUA - NICARAGUA = Tracking# 8872663505
Thanks! Not sure why I couldn't find it...
Anyway, not sure what to do. I've already sent the embassy a couple emails. Their last reply to me was Friday, 2 days after they received this DHL shipment and they said that they have not received it. Can I ask the NVC to confirm that this shipment is my package? Should I just tell the embassy that they should have received it Wednesday? Should I send them this tracking info? BTW, NVC said that they expedited the case and shipped it March 15.

How long from when they say the sent it out will it take to be trackable. NVC said they sent my package to the embassy over a week ago but I haven't seen it. The embassy says it takes 1 to 2 weeks.

IV fee finally got invoiced on Friday, a week after my DS3032 was accepted, and my husband paid it today. And AOS has been accepted...we seem to be inching towards the end of this process
It took my IV fee longer to be invoiced and the payment processed than the AOS fee which was just a day or so.

Is your spouse here? How were you able to obtain ITIN number for ur spouse if he/she was not here? I think you may be asking for trouble at the embassy if you got the number without your spouse being here. I think that was why the NVC customer representative was shock. As a tax expert, there is more benefit in filing joint tax return especially if one spouse is not working or working but not making enough. I am sure the ITIN information you provided to the NVC representative will be forwarded to the embassy and that can cause trouble. But if your spouse is here then you are ok.
The spouse does not have to have ever been here to file married jointly but they do need to get an ITIN. I got my wife's ITIN in the mail today after sending the paperwork to the IRS about 5 weeks ago. She had to get her passport copy notorized at the embassy.

Lately, it's been taking around 4 weeks from NOA2 date. I just read that someone whose NOA2 date is Feb 6 got their case # today.
It took my case exactly 3 weeks from when my I-130 was approved on Jan. 23.

Yup, that is the main reasonwe need to wait until it is shown paid so we can print out the bar-code sheet for PacketVI
Last Friday I called because my IV fee payment had not yet posted. (Still hasn't and now the page says there is a database error.) The women I talked to says it could take some time for the fee to posted. Then I asked her if I could send in my IV package and she said yes but I should include a cover sheet and said it could be the same as for the AOS. So that is what I did (removing the reference to the AOS dept.) I hope there isn't much of a delay? How long does it normally take now to get the IV application approved once it has been submitted?

Day 3 of waiting for that "in process" notation next to my IV bill to move to "paid".
It would be great to see it roll over...especially since our IV packet should arrive at NVC today!
I've been waiting for mine to say paid too. I thought I had to wait until that to send the IV packet but I called today and they said I could go ahead and send it so I just sent it!

As per the W-7 instructions (http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/iw7.pdf), you can have the embassy certify a copy of your documents. They do charge something like $50 but in my case it is worth it. I wouldn't want my wife to send her passport because I hope she will be using it soon! I recommend reading the W-7 instructions carefully - will save you from spending a lot on an expensive accountant and it's not THAT complicated

no i mean my wife got the email from uscis with our case number and everything but in thier email they said that we should expect the official reciept within 10 bissness days but we didnt get anything yet and now it have been since 27/01/2013????
I wouldn't worry too much but I would call them to ask for it. The only time I actually used the NOA1 receipt was when contacting my congressman's office and that didn't do any good anyway.

Come on over to the NVC filers thread read post #1 and #2.
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/412212-nvc-filers-february-2013/
Congrats! I concur - the first 2 posts of the NVC thread have all the info you need for the next steps.

Finally things are beginning to move for me...
6/8/2012 - I-130 priority date
6/11/2012 - I-130 NO1 date
1/23/2013 - I-130 NOA2 date
1/29/2013 - NVC received case from USCIS
2/13/2013 - recieved NVC case number, Invoice number, emailed DS-3203
2/14/2013 - paid AOS fee
2/15/2013 - AOS fee status paid, printed AOS cover sheet
I plan to send out my AOS package Tuesday morning and finish getting everything organized for the IV package this weekend so it's ready to go as soon as the invoice is posted and payment processed.

Our NOA2 date is 1/23. NVC said they received our case 1/29 and this evening (2/12) they gave us our case number and invoice number. I checked invoice online (https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx) and it said NOT INVOICED, but I guess that takes a couple days (they said 10-20 days but I guess they say that for everything...).

I am in a similar situation. My understanding is that you need to include the W-7 with the tax return. My wife got her W-7 certified at the embassy because we did not want to submit the original documents (e.g. passport). The IRS instructions are here - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/iw7.pdf

Do you have any proof the DACA is making things slow? Or is that just your guess? Actually, it has made many IR/CR-1 cases speed up.
I totally support DACA, but I think that it is adversely affecting the processing time for my case. Maybe those that got shifted to other centers are benefitting which is why people who applied in September have their petition approved but for those of us who applied in May or June and are still waiting, it can only have made it worse.

so hard to wait and i hate being sad
It's very frustrating!

We got our NOA1 on June 4th, 2012 - a total of 221 days later and we are finally APPROVED!!!
I was seriously thinking they forgot about us or something!! My heart goes out to all my fellow Junebugs who filed through Vermont. I feel your pain!
Funny because I've been checking like a maniac - pretty sure I checked 4 times already today and just decided to check again before going for a nap (like I can sleep now! hehe) and here is what I found...
On January 11, 2013, your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was approved.
Sooooooooo happy!!!!! Ok, now to share the news with my family and start focusing on our next steps.
Congrats! I hope this means we aren't far behind -- maybe next week!
-
Congrats!!!!
I'm curious why some who apply in late August/September get approved before June and even earlier filers...
-
I know it's hard. Keep in mind for a while they were receiving 11000 I-130 apps in May and 9000 apps in June. They are effectively completing about 5700 apps per month at this time. I hope they speed up but the number indicate that this is going to be the pace for another few months assuming everything is kept the same. I wish they would allocate some resources to I-130 apps received in May and June.
I'm curious where you get these numbers...
-
Everytime I contact them (including using my congressman), they just say it's within normal processing time and that is going to be soon.... but it's getting close! Looking at the timeline stats, there are few early June petitions starting to be approved. We are June 8 and I hope we get approved in a week.

According to IRS publication 519:
If, at the end of your tax year, you are married and one spouse is a U.S. citizen or a resident alien and the other spouse is a nonresident alien, you can choose to treat the nonresident spouse as a U.S. resident.
Case sitting idle at the embassy
in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
Posted
We had our case "expedited" after I sent the IV and AOS to the NVC. So the NVC sent it to the embassy on March 15. I was so frustrated because I didn't even know if they received the package from NVC... After a few weeks of emailing and just being told it could take a while, my wife went to the U.S. embassy today and they gave her an appointment for Tuesday. The embassy in her country has hours twice a week where you can go without an appointment to ask "general" questions. Every case is different, but having her go there worked for us! Good luck.
