  1. Aslamualaikum Jazak Allah for your help. My wife is US National she is in US AND I am working in Dubai. The issue is someone told me ( a close friend of mine) that FRC is enough and thats I did not bother getting a birth certificae now my Wife has an interview on Tuesday with USCIS Local office and I don't think I can send her anything by Tuesday. Well I do not know what I could do right now except for praying :). Wise suggestions will be appreciated

Frc is just a document to proof relationship and not your identity asnan individual it does state ur parents name and dob but no place of birth mentioned . You were born in pakistan and which cty?

  2. Who is the petitioner here? Who needs the birth certificate the beneficiary or the petitioner. If u r a US citizen and got it through naturalization u dont need ur birth certifcate for getting status for ur wife but if ur wife is non-us citizen beneficiary she needs one. It depends where that person is born and have to get a birth certificate from its local muncipal corporation authority or local union council

I f you do not have birth certifcate get a school leaving certificate mention both parents name or fathers name and date of birth along with parents or relatives affidavits ,hospital record .

What If a Document Is Not Available?

In such a situation, submit a statement from the appropriate civil authority certifying that the document or documents are not available. You must also submit secondary evidence, including:

    A. Church record: A copy of a document bearing the seal of the church, showing the baptism, dedication or comparable rite occurred within two months after birth, and showing the date and place of the child's birth, date of the religious ceremony, and the names of the child's parents.

    B. School record: A letter from the authority (preferably the first school attended) showing the date of admission to the school, the child's date of birth or age at that time, place of birth, and names of the parents.

    C. Census record: State or Federal census record showing the names, place of birth, date of birth, or the age of the person listed.

    D. Affidavits: Written statements sworn to or affirmed by two persons who were living at the time and who have personal knowledge of the event you are trying to prove. For example, the date and place of birth, marriage or death. The person making the affidavit does not have to be a U.S. citizen. Each affidavit should contain the following information regarding the person making the affidavit: his or her full name, address, date and place of birth, and his or her relationship to you, if any, full information concerning the event, and complete details explaining how the person acquired knowledge of the event.

  4. Hey guys...sorry for updating after 2 days but haven't got net access.

But the good news is that I got the VISA at first go without been put in AP.

    Here is the whole experience.

Got to embassy at 7:30 AM and after submitting the bag (you can't take any sort of bag with you as only plastic bags are allowed)

and the mobile phones (all electronic gadgets), took the ticket for shuttle service and got all ready for a ride to embassy.

At embassy known thing is about two lines one for immigrant visa and other for non-immigrant visa, went in immigrant one called upon

quickly as it wasn't too busy that day.

Fingerprints taken first then went to submit the interview letter, medical and passport to window#06.

From there I got a list of approved courier services in all cities of Pakistan with a Token stamped on it.

Waited...waited and just waited...but to my surprise it wasn't too bad, called after 2 hours on window#08.

And here the real game has started. White lady greeted with a smile.

    Followed her with the Oath.

    Questions:

    1. Can you please hand me over the Original Urdu NikahNama.

    2. How long have you been married.

    3. How you two get to know each other and what was the connection led to the marriage.

    3. How long you two stayed together after the ceremony.

    4. Have she came down for a visit afterwards.

    5. How exactly she acquired the citizenship.

    6. How often you two talk.

    7. Can you show me the pictures of the ceremony.

The only two things the Officer asked me was the Original Urdu NikahNama and the Ceremony Pictures.

No On-Going Relationship Evidences..No Invitation Card..No Receipts of any gifts exchanged or what-so-ever.

And then came those words which I certainly and honestly wasn't expecting because I already

developed my mind that at Islamabad Embassy there is no way a Male can get away without been

    suffered through an AP.

But you know what she said.."Everything seems to be in Order and Congratulations you have been Approved

& you can get your Passport in 7 working days"..

Got a call today on 11th from AMEX to pick up my Passport..means got it in exactly 2 working days.

    That's still unbelievable to me.

I have only one observation and that the Officer already made up her/his mind regarding your case

and the questions are just mere formality to make the process more authentic and formal.

Just wanna take a moments and praise ALL my folks here on Visa Journey for your extended and

kind support of all nature during my process and I wish ALL the very best for those who are in

AP and those too who are yet to experience the formality of Interview.

    BEST OF LUCK GUYS.

    KIND REGARDS.

Woww mA congraa.. U had any travel history?

  5. I went with my fiancee for her visa interview to Islamabad on the 18th of January. At the interview, we were handed a Blue Refusal Sheet and told that I needed to head back to the US and provide proof of Domicile. We were so heartbroken that our visa wasn't issued that day. I headed back to the US on the 31st of January and started collecting all the documents and paperwork that I thought would be pertinent in proving that I had re-established domicile in the US. I sent those documents to my fiancee on 19th February, she received it on 22nd February and then she forwarded it to the US Embassy using the American Express Courier service in Karachi on the 23rd of February. I checked the ceac.state.gov site yesterday and was greeted with the following message " ISSUED. Your visa has been printed. Depending on local procedures at the location where you interviewed, your visa will be mailed or available for pickup soon. If there are further questions, or if we need updated contact information, you will be contacted." I am glad that they looked at our info so quickly and issued us the visa. So to all those out there with AP status who are waiting, keep your chin up and I am sure that your number will be up next. Also, thanks to all the people on VJ who helped me out tremendously throughout this long and arduous journey. Lastly, best of luck to those who are just starting on this Immigration Journey, Do not hesitate to hit me up to ask me any questions in regards to the K-1 Visa processes, especially if you're filing for someone in Pakistan, and I'm sure I'll be able to guide you down the right path. Best of Luck Everyone, May we be with our Love One's Soon.

Congrats. Any past travel history of ur fiance lived abroad ever?

Omgggg i. Cant stop laughing lol ur such a big jahil... U think applicant only means petitioner??? Loll it says on the form signature of applicant .here the applicant is the person filling the damn form not the petitioner it is supposed to be filled by both separately lollll u r so intelligent thats why u got an RFE . People like u misguide others marrying goris for GC duh otherwise why wouldnt u find a pakistani girl in pak lol. Liar

Put in your current address. I typed everything, printed it out, and added "to present" with a pen.

    Thanks!

  8. Pakistani ediot jahil....thay are talking about applicant last address.....not beneficiary last address....applicant mean petitioner who file the petition...u r applying for us visa and u don't know about this ....amazing

Wow ur the intelligent guy only! Lol thanks but For the G-325 "Applicant" is the person completing the form and that form is one for the petitioner and one for beneficiary to be filled i asked a lawyer so just shush!

  9. Good Morning- I am writing to you feeling hopeless this afternoon. My husband and I love love each other. We have a great relationship. The problem: He is an Indian Muslim Citizen trying to get to his love in USA but of course, once he went to the interview, and after a very quick 5 minute random questions, the officer did not want to see the evidence and pulled the 221G white form which asks for more evidence of our marriage. The list is pretty simple and he had most of the information that day. The officer told him he was being asked to submit those documents at a drop off courier service ,then they will let him know his fate!

I have been reading horrible stories about the 221 G journey.. and the fact that we are both muslims ( I am a revert ) he is born muslim.. gives me no hope at this point.

Any other experiences. He was interviewed in New Dehli, India

Our classification of our case is CR-1 we have been married a little bit over a year. I have been in India 3 times ( I am a teacher so I can only travel 2 times a year ).

we met in March 2011 - online network

We physically met in July 2011 - New Dehli

I traveled again in Dec. 2011- got married

I traveled again in June 2012- for his brother's marriage ( spent almost two months there )

We had only submitted a few pictures and certificate of marriage with the I-130. But my husband showed up with photo album, phone logs ( we call each other daily 2-3 times a day ), facebook chat ( mostly 2011 chats but we communicate on facebook daily too ).

The officer sort of looked at the album.. he questioned my husband of why no one from my family did not attend the wedding.. ( my elderly parents cannot travel, my only sister works ).

Then he simply pulled out the 221G white form which asks for more evidence such as

    1- photos, phone logs

2-list of wedding guests, telephone numbers, addresses, relationship to us

    3- wedding invitation sample

4-his voting ID pin and the voting lists of 5 years

    5-jointed bank accounts

6-if we have children, their birth certificate ( we do not have children- we just got married a yr ago )

everything is listed we have except one item which will be provided in the next 3 days to him.

He was giving back his birth certificate and the original certificate of marriage..they kept everything else... including the photo album.. ( but did not want to see phone logs, facebook chats, etc..)

The officer it was not for him to see anymore.. and sent my husband off with the 221g letter

I heard CR1 are difficult to deny.. please tell me there is hope...

This is crazy seriously... Guests and their address etc that is too much detail

  10. Please, do not give information that has no factual basis. You are telling the OP to get a PCC which will probably expire and they will have to re-do the entire PCC again. And please read my previous post on this topic.

yes i agree with you... ive got one pcc from other city i lived in and its only valid for 3 months and prolly expire before even getting to NVC lol! so when should i start collecting PCC? when my 1-130 noa2 is approved? how much time do we have to get all that any deadlines given my NVC or any instructions?

  11. Thanks for the info. I have my mother and sister there but if this process is a hassle, I dont want them to go through this. The only reason I am getting NICOP is because I needed a Machine Readable Passport so I could visit my sister in Dubai. Though my current Passport is valid, its hand-written and apparently Dubai does not take take hand-written PAKISTANI passport - another benefit of being a Pakistani citizen blush.gif

If they live in islamabad then its not much of hassle.. Elsewhere yes its very inconvenient.. Unfortunately embassy doesnt help its own citizens who send 1000000$ a year and thats how our country is running . Sad but ture they havent done anything for overseas pakistanis

  13. I applied for the NICOP here in NYC Consulate, so to get the Machine Readable Passport. Does anyone know how long its taking these days to process the application? Website says 8-10 weeks, and there is no way to expedite. On top of this, the email notification says the online tracker will not work for at least a month after the filing - I doubt it will work at all.

Welcome to nadra world sitting abroad lol.. There is no way u could get this expedited but if u have someone in pakistan u can give them ur tracking number and go to nadra oversease headoffice.. My mom is doing the same for my bro!
