  1. Have you made an infopass appointment? Are you approved pending FBI check?

Sounds like they were approved, as there is no such thing as "approved pending name check" if you are a CSC transferee (or really at interview either).

Did you move during the AOS process? Have you received any letters from USCIS? Do you have your name on your mailbox.

I agree an Infopass would be best before just sending off the I-90.

Yeah I did move during the AOS process but did inform them in time. They say they sent it the old address and it was returned.

I already went to the infopass and they told me to file the I 90.

I am just stumped by the Initial evidence. I dont know if it means the entire AOS package or not? The info they provide just doesnt clarify this for me.

    Thanks

  2. Schedule an Infopass online, asap. As the 1800 number is staffed by people who merely have the same info that we can access on uscis.gov, it would be worthwhile to speak with an actual immigration officer. Seems to be a bit of an odd delay here, but nothing to be too concerned about.

I agree--with miles--you want to stay on top of it, and an in-person appointment is best. If your card production order is nowhere in sight, tell them you've got travel scheduled and would they pleeeease give you an I-551 stamp in your passport as evidence for travel.

    Ok will do.

Thanks - I have not been home for nearly a year now!! will they give me the I-155 stamp there

  3. Hello

I have a question fpr you all.

My AOS was apperoved and the Welcome notice was apparently mailed on 2.12.

After 60days I have not recieved anything in the mail at all.

I called the cs line after 30 days they told me to wait for 30days. I called them again today they say wait 45 days.

I have definatley been approved but I am having no joy in recieveing anything.

Has anyone else had this happen?

I am hoping to return to the UK very soon as well for holiday. Would I still be able to go or do I have to wait for the card. I had heard that i could get a stamp in my passport.

    Any help would be great

    Thansk

  4. Hi people,

I am truly confused by my AOS situation,

i submitted all my paper on 13th of July 2006.

on Sep 26th I recieved about 12 emails from CRIS advising me my case had been xfered to the CSC. I had ones saying recieved and everything.

now today I recieved another 3 emails advising me that my case has been xferd to CSC - the aprroval status is This case has been sent to another office for processing.

has anyone recieved this kind of email 4 months after it was originally xfered.

    Is this good or bad?????

    Thankyou all so much

  5. Hi people.

    I have a 2questions regarding the above.

I recieved my NOA1s for both petitions on the 19th of July.

I recieved a RFE for the I 485 which was recieved at the Service Centre on 9-5-06. I can now finally see this case online. The message it shows is as follows.

"On September 5, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates."

Is this just a normal response. I was alittle worried because it says "written response" no mention of an interview etc. I also havent recieved any info in regards to a biometrics appointment.

My 2 nd question is regarding my EAD.

This case is still not available online and I have not heard anything back at all. Should I be worried!!!!

Apologies that this is rather long but I am a little worried so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thankyou

    Chris

  6. Hi people.

We have recieved an RFE which requests information about two items.

They want to know the status of the joint sponsor i.e proving she is a USC. Well she defiantely is as she is my wifes mother. She submitted her SSN what further info do they require to prove her status.

We also submitted three years worth of 1040s but apparently this is not enough. My mother in law is self employed so does hse just need to submit a letter on business stationary for this or do we need to request info from the IRS.

It also says on the letter that I am ineligible for temporary work permit until 90 days after this information is recieved. Is this the case as this would be a nightmare as I woas expecting to work 90 days from the NOA date.

Anyhelp would be very very much appreciated.

    Many thanks

  7. Yes they have to complete both since they filed their taxes jointly....

    Hi thanks for this,

However Unfortunately on question 24, Do we need to tick box D or box E. I assume that we need to tick box d however this says that we then need to fill in form I 864A . Does my wifes step dad just need to fill this form in as it is my Wifes mother who is the joint sponsor.

Any help would be great as we are very confused.

  8. Hi people,

I have just recieved my SSN no today and was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers as to when I can apply for a driving license.

Im from the UK and I do NOT hold a UK license.

Can i go ahead and take it or do I have to wait untill I am married (which is only 2 weeks away :D )

Ive looked on the Ga DMW site but couldnt see anything to help.

If anyone has any ideas that would be great.

    Many thanks

  9. Hi everyone,

I have now been in the US just over two weeks and tomorrow i am going to go apply for my SSN.

I have printed off the SSN Form and just have a quick question regarding Question 3 Citizenship, Do I tick Alien allowed to work or alien not allowed to work?????

    I am a K1 Visa holder.

Also do I just take my passport as ID , Unfortunately it is the only photo ID i have. It has my ! 94 etc inside it along with the Visa.

Anyway any help would be much appreciated.

    Many Thanks

Sorry I think this is in the wrong forum,

    Sorry

  10. chrisq,

You have everything you need to satisfy the Border Control officer.

There are 3 primary variables in how you will be handled - the mood/personality of the officer, the competence of the officer in handling K-1s, and your mood/personality.

You sound pretty relaxed at the moment, so that's good!! It also seems like you haven't had issues entering in the past, so I don't imagine that you'll have trouble this time.

It is likely that you'll be sent to a secondary processing area, so don't get upset or concerned if that happens. It takes a while to get your paperwork in order, so they do that in order to keep the lines moving along. My wife didn't come through Atlanta, so it might be different there, but that's how things were handled in Miami.

    Best of luck,

    G

    Ok thanks

Well as long as I have everything I guess I will be ok.

Im not connecting flights so I guess it will just take as long as it takes.

Kind of used to waiting now lol

  11. Hi everyone,

I am finally flying out ot vbe with my honey on the 24th (monday) !!!!!!!

    I have my K1 Visa !

But what do I need to show the immigration people, I will be flying innto Atlanta,
