  1. I just received a check list that says "The National Visa Center received your DS-260 form. We are waiting for the traveling applicant’s
supporting civil documents to be submitted to the NVC. Your online Immigrant Visa Application will be
reviewed upon receipt of your supporting documentation."
I already sent all the require civil document with the IV package. Is this a fake checklist?

  2. NVC IV review stage requires a non expired PPC. Again if you do clear the NVC IV review before the PPC expires, chances are your police report might expire by the time of interview. In which case they will ask for a new one.

Might as well get a new one and send it along with your IV documents to begin with.

    Good Luck

    pob260 - Thank you

    - Not expred while at IV

    - Expired at interview if its in March.

    - I take your advice and get new one. Just to be in safe side.

  4. Hi everybody,

My fiancé and I have been planning on getting married in Nepal this winter. I am a student in the US so only have a few weeks to stay there. The plan was that I would stay as long as I can, then come back to the US for school and apply for the CR-1 visa. Now his friends are telling us that I need to live in Nepal for six months before the Nepal government will allow him to marry a foreigner. Is this true?? I have been researching and can't find anything about this. If it's true is there any way to get around it?

I am in the same situation as you are. I have heard that you have to be in Nepal for at least 2 weeks to register your marriage with CDO office. Good luck. Keep in touch.
