  1. In my case all I used was an emplyment letter for a job i had just started. so it doesn't matter if its a new job.I have seen cases where people get approved with just a job contract that showed they would be earning enough money. i chose to use a cosponsor that earned well over what is required just to be safe. if you think it is too close, then go through the trouble of getting the cosponsor. I know I felt much better going into the interview.

  2. i'm on the same step as you. i really doubt they got it so soon but if anything you can call the embassy starting monday or email them next week. they are going to send packet 3 to the address you wrote for your fiance. however, i already downloaded packet 3 from the naples consulate website and filled it out. it's usually the same packet from what i have heard... the packet on their website has all the instructions and form attached.

  3. Hello everyone, I am hoping someone could tell something positive about this case. Recently I got my Noa 2 on June 17th. I am pretty prepared for the interview with the documents I need. However, today i just saw some threads about people who got denied because the officer did not look at or want to accept the co-sponsor. Some people commented that they only accept the co-sponsor if the main sponsor makes close to the poverty line.

I applied for the K1 visa as a student, I have had part times but I was counting on my co-sponsor who is my mother. She earns well above the poverty line for three people and has two properties. I know that she meets the requirement but it would all be for nothing if they do not even look at it.

I have heard that if it gets denied, the best course of action is to get married and apply for the CR1 visa. But i am hoping for any advice in my current situation. I researched the visa extensively and everything seemed to indicate that a co-sponsor is accepted. Hopefully this is only denied on a case by case basis or if your CO is in a good mood or not. In other words, I hope there is still a chance they will look at it, instead of flat out denying it.

I would appreciate any help from people who have gone through the process recently in Italy since it seems that this is a recent trend. Of course if anyone else has ideas, that is also appreciated.

    Thank you.

  5. The update on the USCIS website of October 15,2012 is as of March 31, 2013. That means that the date of october 15 was compiled on information from about a month and a half ago. I think this means that now, May 22th, they should be processing application from a month and a half later, so Late november/early december. since they tend to fall behind, it is more like mid-november to late november petitions. On Igor's List the latest filers are from this time. I have a portfolio of applications around mine on USCIS and one of them was finally touched (RFE). My NOA1 date is Dec. 4. So, based on the USCIS update, the waiting time is about 5 1/2 months, (October 15 to March 31) which we all know can vary. For me, it has been a little over 5 1/2 months so I think it will be soon.

This was my interpretation of the update. If anyone has another idea, let me know. smile.png
