  1. After checking my status online at USCIS.gov--even more than usual--I checked upon returning home. . . put on the Knicks & Celtics game, and forgot to glance back at the USCIS page. . . Post decision activity! I've been since waiting for an email or text for more details. Could it mean my NOA2 or RFE or what? I'm freaking out! My jaw literally dropped, and I couldn't breathe or speak!

  2. I got my NOA2 today with no RFE and I belive it is all down to this forum... I may not have posted much but I read every little detail and would like to just say a HUGE thank you for these forums, the information is priceless.

Fingers crossed for a successful interview and getting to be with my future husband.

    congratulations..goodluck on the next step

  3. After approval, call NVC for MNL case number. You'll only need that to be able to pay the visa fee to any BPI branch. Then quickly schedule your interview.

The beneficiary will not receive any instructions from USEM with the list of things to do post approval or docs to bring during the interview. All required docs are accessible online

  6. I think there are 3 posts so far this week for CSC July and August (maybe a September) petitions being approved so this sounds like great news to all of us who were dreading that our petitions got washed away in the plumbing accident (DACA more like it!).

    sounds good!

    september also is here waiting

  7. Yeah, mine improved as well!

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between January 8, 2013 and February 8, 2013*.

Well, it is good for those that are being processed.

  8. Hello All,

We received our approval today. 10 days ago I emailed my US Senator's office. I included all of the information that I could about the process. I included the Visa Journey site so that they could understand how I was coming up with my information. I included excuses given to other congressional offices, as found on VJ. I talked about the fact that CSC has been working on July 18, 2012 for the last four months. I preemptively agreed with the whole first come first serve basis of approval. What I pointed out was that there were 11 million applications that seem to have cut in line. That, I was not above the law but, I did not feel it fair that many people who are following the law, now seem to be affected by those who have not. I basically thanked them, informed them of what they could expect as an answer from CSC.

I received an email today from the Senator's office stating that the info I had given allowed for an informed argument and dismissal of the excuses given by CSC. I was told to expect to hear from them soon as the USCIS representative was confounded with the informed person on the other end of the line. The Senator's aide also told me that she had no idea of the things going on and could only take what she was told by USCIS at face value in the past. Well, I received an email from the USCIS 3 hours after hearing from my Senator's office, our approval.

My suggestion to all who are still waiting. If, you have been waiting longer than 6 months, email your US SENATOR'S office. Be very polite letting them know you do not seek preferential treatment but, to be treated fairly. Give them the VJ site for their research. Our Senator's office said that they found out a huge amount of information about the process and current state of affairs from VJ that they had never been privy to in the past. Take your time to document all of the inconsistencies from the USCIS i.e. the plumbing problem that was expected to cause no delay, only to be used as an excuse for 48,000 applications. Give the people you are asking help from the tools they need to help you. My letter to my Senator was a couple of pages of clear, concise information as it pertained to my case.

I wish you all of the best of luck. I thank you all for your help and information. I especially thank all of the people at VJ for this site.

    Chris

    wow! COngratulations!!!

    thanks for sharing..

  9. Aww.. Well I pray the best for you and your fiance. :) As early as now, I feel the hopelessness of having to wait looooooooooong for that NOA2. Since almost everything I read from here says that thing takes foreverrrr. :/ Oh yeah, we just talked about getting a lawyer last night, but we need to discuss about it further as this is really an important matter for us. Also, I'm a bit skeptical about getting coz most people didn't have lawyers but their applications were still approved. :)

Thanks Glory but don't lose hope since that you did not even start the application, who knows you'll be one of the lucky one who get approve fast.Approval of application is on a case to case basis. YEs you can do it on your own without the help of either an attorney or a lawyer but for me its not as easy as it looks. My fiance and I want to make sure the K1 visa application is done correctly. :)

  10. Ohhh.. I see. I'm sorry about what you had to go through.. Which step are you at now tho? How did your tourist visa application affect it? I've been trying to talk it out with my fiance, but due to his busy schedule at work; he can't travel any time soon. He also used up all the vacation days he had last year when he came here. :P LOL anyway, thank you so much for your response. Gave me more insights. :)

Oh yah that experienced really saddening,as much as i can i don't want to think about the negative impact to my k1 application now. We're still waiting for the NOA2 approval at CSC.We're having 7months of waiting this coming April 12,,But uugh...too many older filer here still waiting for NOA2..Anyway my suggests for you start now applying for fiance visa since your fiance wouldn't have much time for another trip with you.Start gathering all the paper works such as emails, pictures together, chat logs, remittances etc.,that can show evidence of your genuine relationship,,,btw we had helped from my fiance atty in his state regarding this k1 application. :)

  11. Hello! I'm Glory, from the Philippines. I'm turning 23 this year and engaged to a USC since last year. We met online and after a few months he came here to visit me. We've only seen each other once so I'm quite worried if the number of times we've been together will be a factor on the application. Also my fiancee suggested that I try to apply for a US tourist visa just to be together before he files the petition. But I know when you're a young Filipina, it is hard to get a tourist visa. :( We're a little confused and to be honest, we don't know where to start. I hope someone on here can enlighten me. Hoping for good responses. Thanks so much! :star:

Hi Glory,i just want to share mine..As they've said no harm of trying like this applying for tourist visa especially if you can establish that your social, family and economic ties outside of the United states are sufficient to overcome the presumption of immigrant intent. But as like they've said there's no guarantee..I even tried but unfortunately it was denied. And now i feel like it's probably one reason that can cause of delay on the processing of my k1 visa now,,we've only met once also before we filed our K1 application. On the other hand, if your fiance can get enough vacation for the wedding here in Philippines, you can take the spousal route, since now the fiance visa seems to be like having the same length of waiting for

    spousal visa.

    I hope this helps :)

  12. WOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY i just got the text message right now to check my case online :

Don't worry fren, am a September filer too..God is good all the time,,just keep the faith and don't be afraid,,our time will come in His better plan for us

    #good vibes#

  14. NOA2, at last I don't have to chase for you anymore!!!! Today is the happiest moment of my life so far, I am now approved!!!! Thanks be to God and to all of the people who gave me moral support and encouraged me to keep on believing. By the way, we received our NOA1 on August 2, 2012 and our petition is being handled by CSC. I am hoping for a smooth visa journey.

congratulations!!! To God Be the Glory!

  15. I know what you mean. I just wish there was a way to find out what was going on. I mean, OK, so they might be processing DACA petitions as priority, but that's not an excuse for not updating their processing times since December. Just knowing what they're doing would be helpful, since it's impossible to plan when it appears for all intents and purposes that a service centre hasn't just insanely slowed down but appears to be entirely inactive on a whole set of petitions.

 we're 6 months now and we did our first time service request but it says "Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time"

So,the normal parameters of processing would be 6mons. to a year?
