Guys i have a question. the status at the ceac website says issued.. but american express hasnt called me yet for delivering my passport.. what should i do? how much time does is take for passport to come after interview?

Yes, definitely include an explanation as to why 2012 taxes were not filed. I'd suggest including this in both the cover letter as well as a separate letter behind the form. You'd still have to fill in the years on 13, and then put 0.00 for all three years.

thanx a lottt saylin!! also i have one last question! that since my brother in law is the joint sponsor, so he has filed his taxes.. now for 13.a.1 we will write his total gross income as mentioned in the tax return. and for the current employment and current income.. do we have to calculate his income from his paystubs? or write what's mentioned in his employment letter? or write the income in the 2012 tax return... because the income in 2012 tax written and his current annual income as mentioned on job letter have changed!

For current income, write his current income. And you don't need to fill out the 'unemployed since' date since he's not unemployed anymore. You check either 1, 2, 3, or 4 (and fill out that question's information). Not a combination of some.

interview was on Monday and they talked about giving him the visa. Now we must wait and continue to pray.

Hello, honestly i don't know what to do, I have the same situation as you, my wife has no income (0) and we have a joint sponsor, we didn't send AOS package yet, she is listed in her father's tax return, but in my wife's I-864 we don't know if we have to check the box on item no.13 part 6 or not, nor send her father's tax return in the package or not!!

We have got a checklist for AOS! my husband was unemployed till june 2013 as he was studying abroad and was not in US and has not filed his taxes as he was studying and didnt have a job abroad as well.. His father had listed him as his dependent.. So we wrote a letter along with AOS and attached his father's AOS as a joint sponsor and sent his father's taxes and income.. we have stated the recent work details of my husband and his recent pay.. but we got a checklist stating that they want tax returns of 2012 or a letter stating why taxes weren't filed. we already have done dat.. why are they asking for a checklist again...

On calling the operator we got the answer to follow what the checklist says.. I mean should we send the letter again? or do we need to do sumthing else? Please someone help mee.

Yes I got case complete on October 10th and received case complete email on October 16th. Please update my info. also my Priority date is not 12 march 2013.. its 12 march 2012 :)

I think a lot of people are getting mad at the system. In my case, for example, i received 2 checklists for my AOS. The 1st one i sent had info not matching my Tax return. I listened to my mom on what to put when i could have gotten it right the first time. It delayed our case by a month or more. Then i wasn't able to send back the 2nd AOS because if i entered the correct income, i would not qualify, so i had to patiently wait for my joint sponsor's AOS & financial evidence. This came about 1 month after my checklist so that 1 month of nothing was also wasted. I got the 2nd checklist when i got CC, luckily they want the required info at the interview. Thank God.

But i am not blaming anyone but myself. I sent the wrong info, then i pay the price. Do i wish that NVC would just use their common sense & see what was on my tax return? Yes! Coz the information was on there anyway. Haha. But i guess they want everything to be CLEAR as crystal according to what we write in our forms.

Look on the bright side. If you notice the list, a lot more who filed before you, are still waiting for case complete too. It's a waiting game. It sucks! Especially coz we want to be with our spouses & most especially those of us who have kids! (Like me. ) We have all felt the same pain of being away from our loved one. BUT if you feel that way about the US, then the decision is up to you. I know the UK is a beautiful country & i hope to visit Europe one day! (When i'm a USC so i wont have to get a Visa. Lol) but for now, rethink on your decision and decide what's best for you and your husband. At least you are so close the finish line!

My Brother who just filed his F2A petition last month has just started his long journey of waiting since the VB is no longer current - or moving for that matter.
