  1. There is no official website, because it is obsolete, not removed from existance. You can still file for it, but in almost all cases, the K3 path will be administratively closed at NVC stage. Even if it is not, it's advantage used to be that it was faster than the CR=-1, back when CR-1 took several years. They are now the same speed so there is really no point in it.

thanks to Penguin_ie for the prompt reply. You are so helpful. have a nice day!

  2. I am going to fill in my form of G325a. Being chinese, we don't have middle name at all. I have never been to USA before, so no A# and SSN either.

    1) What should I fill in for above 3 items? (N/A, or None, or just leave them blank?

    2) Last occupation abroad if not shown above.--> for me, "abroad" means out of china, right? Shoud I fill in None or N/A?

    thanks for the suggestion.

  3. We did photos just prior to mailing. We did not do CR1, a few extra will not hurt.

Thanks to bigdog....If did photos prior to mailing,my husband should already come back USA. then I have to post the photo to him. That is really not convienent! if taken within 6months, then I can give it to him before he leaves china.

Did you submit the barcode of the photo? I am thinking if barcode is not needed, then 30 days or 6months photos will be ok.

  4. Dear VJ friends,

travel.state.gov/visa/visaphotoreq says the photo should be taken within the last 6 months to reflect the current appearance.

But the Instructions for I-130 state: photo taken within 30days of the date of this petition.

    My questions are

    1) How many days in advance should I take the photo? 6 months or 30 days?

    2) How many photos needed for the whole CR1 process? So that I can have them ready at one time.

    Thanks!

  5. You might want to double check with others who have gone through the CR1 process in China. In some consulates and embassies they take into account what is the custom in that particular country to determine whether the marriage is genuine.

What is fine in a European country might not be okay in China.

thanks for the reminder. I don't have big family. all I can invite is about 10 closest family members. I planned to have a church wedding. But the priest told me they do that only for the 1st marriage couples.

  6. My US citizen fiance and I are going to register marriage very soon in china. before the marriage, He has visited me in china more than 10+ times; tons of emails; tons of call list; We don't plan to have big marriage ceremony, just invite my parents, sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces to have nice meal together in a nice resturant. 1) Will the visa officer doubts why we don't have big ceremony? will this become a problem?
