  1. I am...case was transferred to NYC local office in October....received letter for RFE in January 2013 to hand deliver documents to their in February 2013....now waiting!!!! They have over 5000 applications..

I did not even received anything for RFE. Over 6 months of waiting with no clue what is going on. I don 't understand why the NBC did not process my case and what the purpose of transferring it to a local office. is like they intend to delay it more especially if they knows about the NY local office load. did u try the info pass to see what going on ? was that helpful? did they notified you when they transferred your case to NY local office? how long your case has been in NY local office?

  2. ANYONE HAS HIS CASE TRANSFERRED TO NYC LOCAL OFFICE. ANY IDEA HOW LONG IT TAKES THERE TO GET MY I 130 APPROVED. IT BEEN ALREADY OVER 6 MONTHS OF WAIT. I DID ONE TIME A SERVICE REQUEST ALMOST OVER A MONTH AGO AND IT SAYS THE CASE UNDER PROCESSING IN FRONT OF ADJUDICATOR. HOWEVER HE NEEDS MORE TIME TO REVIEW THE RELEVANT INFORMATION. ANY IDEA HOW GOOD AN INFO PASS TO MOVE MY CASE

  3. Hello, I went to my local interview for my hubby yesturday and my I-130 was approved :). Now I wanted to know what happens next??

are you the petitioner or the beneficiary. because you said you went to an interview. I never heard about an interview for the petitioner. if u did so please tell us about the interview. give us some details. than you and congratulation.

  4. I do not know. I too put in a service request because somehow USCIS thought my husband lived in United States. That is not true and so I have to wait 30-45 days for a response. I am hoping once this error is fixed, I receive an approval. At least your file is being adjudicated. I would relax and wait. You will get a response sooner than you think. Good luck.

thank u for the response hopefully we do get an approval soon.

  5. Hi guys I received a letter as a confirmation for my service request it says : your case is actively being processed in front of an adjudicator. However the adjudicator requires additional time to review all relevant information. Once a decision is made you will be notified in writing.

Does anyone receive something like this please let me know what this means; how much longer I have to wait for a decision. The letter came from New York office does this means my case was already transferred from NBC to New York without even notifying me, or this is how they process confirmation letter for service request. please reply if anyone knows about this. thank u.

  6. I wouldn't panic. The people whose files were transferred for workload reasons typically weren't notified. At least you know your file is being looked at. Your name and home country might be the same as someone on the FBI list, in which case they need to take a closer look to make sure you are not them, or something you submitted is being cross-checked against other records, even records in Tunisia, which may take some time to get. Don't worry until you know there is actually something to worry about. Delay is not the same as denial.

Never have a name check list problem the proof i had my citizenship in 4 months. not really worried just want to know how much longer once u receive something like this and if my case was really transferred to NY because was initially send to Vermont then transferred to NBC.

  8. Hi Ally, congratulations on your baby! From what I've read, expedite due to pregnancy is not usually granted. You may get an NOA1 very soon, but I've read a lot on VJ about extra administrative processing for middle eastern men that could last average one year :( Hope for the best, but you have to prepare your mind for the worse.

I know it's hard, but try to have a healthy rest of your pregnancy with as little stress as possible. I hope your husband has family that can visit you and the baby. I have seven-year-old twin girls whose birthday is March 8th. Their father wasn't around. I remember how that was for me... You will find the strength to get through it, then your husband will come. You can do it!

    Best wishes,

    Treva

Hi treva any news with u. going to close 5.5 months waiting and my case still at NBC as the lat time I checked. do you think ours will be processed there or they will be send it back to Vermont when they are ready to process August cases. or may be they will be send to local office for people who filed I 130 alone as they mentioned in their website.

  9. Actually that was me. The ISO told me that, but if you read the link in the other thing I posted, you'll see that standalone I-130s filed after August 15 are going to be sent to local offices for normal processing. There's no need to worry about being interviewed unless you think something is going on with your case.

Who told about the I 130 filed alone after August are going to be sent to local office. It is that a true information? so what was the reason for transferring them in the first place to the NBC if they were not to be processed there? if this is true that a bummer because my local office is VSC and is going to take another 3 months easy to be processed. and I been told that the reason for transferring them to NBC was to speed up process. I guess did not apply for us because a lot of later dates cases have been approved already.

  10. Hi all,

Just wanted to let you guys know that I received text message from USCIS. I check online and saw case approved today. I received my service requestt answer on 19th of this month was saying that they are working on my case, If I didnt hear or receive any letter with in 6 months of this letter call back. I am not saying that my service request has to do anything with this approvel or make fast action on my file.

I do think ISO not tell you the truth even they can see whats going on, I was told meybe my local office will call for interview when slot available, nothing was true what was told by ISO. At end Thanks to God and I am happy.

Please keep hope alive and you will have your approvel soon with grace of God.

  11. Today I got the good news. Finally the I130 for my wife and my daughter have been approved.

It had been almost one year after NOA1, filed in January 18th 2012, now I got the email stating that both petition have been approved today January 9th 2013. We could not be any happier. Now the next step of interview, more paperwork etc. starts.

congratulation, but why it took you this long really long was it any problem

  12. Hi Roosha!

You know, when the option for National Benefits Center was created for a service center, there was a post saying to change the service center in our timeline only if we have an MSC number. I have an EAC number, so I didn't do it.

You're correct in that there are a lot of us who did not change our service center to NBC even though we were transferred there. I really believe that if my file stayed at NBC maybe it would have been approved by now! I'm assuming my file was transferred from the NBC to my local office (Atlanta). Can you think of any other factor why other filers are getting approved so much faster other than the local office factor?? If all the petitions transferred to the NBC were adjudicated at the NBC, then the approvals should have been somewhat in order of first come first serve, wouldn't they?

If my file is in Atlanta, I'm not sure how changing my service center to NBC will help everyone. But OK, sure, I can do that!

TOTALLY I AGREE WITH YOU AND THAT S WHY I HAD BEFORE WITH VERMONT CENTER BUT ANYWAY I DID CHANGE IT TO NBC CENTER.

  13. August filer still waiting too. 4 months of waiting. called today the tier 2 she have no idea she sounds lost. I told here I been transferred to NBC for faster processing but it looks like taking the same time as Vermont. She said you till in the processing time all you have to do is wait and if nothing come up call us again. I think I am going to wait until I get to 5 months and do expedite request. and will see from there.

Yes give it a try and try to ask them why some later months has been approved already before us. ask what the processing time in NBC. good luck.
