  1. oh thank you so much. I think we will go to US in December for a few weeks and set everything up for him, and get his parents side of the paperwork done or ready....then travel in asia for a few months and then when we're in New Zealand we can apply...as we want to travel for another 2 years from today. its interesting in Canada you have to provide all of these things right away...which makes no sense really cuz a lot can happen in a year

  2. Im wondering a couple of things...

my american citizen husband is with me in Canada and we applied for his canadian PR 10 months ago, and it seems there is a hold on his medical because he was diagnosed with bipolar ten years ago. we cant really go on without him working here with me (could take up to 2 more years) so we're wondering a few things....we have work visas to new Zealand for one year, that we have one year to activate. we want to cancel the Canadian PR application and instead work on an American green card for me.

we are flexible, want to do things properly and want to be together as much as possible. my husband has not worked in the last year, but his family is very wealthy and owns businesses, and he has a trust fund.

we're wondering what our best options is...

should he return to us asap, set up bank accounts, get a job, and apartment, and then file after a few months and then we can go to new Zealand while its processing? or can he send in the I-130 without being there, from Canada or new Zealand? I guess im fuzzy on the time that he's allowed to be outside of the US while this is going on, and at what stages. I was denied entry to visit him a few years ago, so I wont bank on visiting while im actually trying to immigrate there. any feed back is welcome. thanks

oh also...we were married in june 2013, is it better to apply after 2 years of marriage and will it effect his side of things if he has bi polar?

  3. last February I was denied entry to the US when I was going to visit my boyfriend....I was forced to sign an application to withdraw my admission.... they thought I was going to work and stay in Hawaii cuz I had just been there and had all my hair styling tools, didn't have enough money for them to believe I could support myself.... blah blah blah. they were nice in the end, saying I just needed to prove ties to Canada and I could try again closer to six months...

since then my husband has left Hawaii, come to Canada, we got married in may, and we are in the process of immigrating him here...we would like to go to Ecuador in January, and I want to use my united travel voucher so we have to stop in US twice.

so my question is, do I have to apply for something, or do I just bring evidence with me, not really sure what the procedure is....any advice would be helpful, thanks!

  4. My us husband is in Canada with me, his six months are up, but we applied for a year extension, he's on implied status till we find out about his extension in December!

We meet in Oct 2012, I was denied entry to us in Feb 2012 (cuz they thought I was planning on staying/working) he came here the following may, we married in June, and began to collect for Canadian immigration....but now we want to go back to Hawaii!!!

We would also like to take an extended vacation, so my questions are....

    1. Should we start cr1 process now while he's here, or while we are traveling...

    2. He has 50, 000 trust fund, do we still need a Co sponsor...

    3. If he's not in the country should I get his farther to sponsor me?

    4. I know if we travel there's a risk he can't get back into Canada...is there a process to go to the US after being denied entry or do I just bring lease, job info, ties to Canada to airport and give it a shot.

    Thanks for any help!

  5. I want to marry my boyfriend living in hawaii. I am canadian and i live in canada now, I have been away from him for almost two months now and my plan is to go back in jan/feb and get married. im not super interested in attaining citizenship in the US, currently, it would be great to be able to work there, but it looks like that could take up to a year and we're ok with leaving the states after august, so im not sure the paperwork is worth all the time that has to go in it. Basically i just dont want to make the US gov't mad so that they deny me entry at another time. so i know as a canadian i can go to the states for six months without any visa, so i can do that and we can leave after that. im also ok with starting paperwork once i get there/get married. any advice/warnings? thanks :)
