  1. Vermont Service Center(VSC) has too much work load especially for F2a category. As the PD are current for 2 months and visas are available, they need to increase demand and need to approve more cases specially for the beneficiary of adjustment of status (just a guess) so the remaining visas don't get waste. So there is workload transfer to Nebraska Service Center (NSC).

(My case also got transferred in Mid aug. My PD is 6th Jan, 2013)

Thank you for the link, it makes sense now.

  2. Hello VJourneys,

I am concern about the Vermont Service Center sending my case to the Nebraska Service Center on August 6, 2013, my PD is 11 JUN 2012 and in the NOA I received yesterday it stated for speedy processing but, when I looked what was the processing time for the NBC there was not an I-130 listed for the Center. Is this a goof by the VSC sending my case to Service Center that does not handles I-130s. Welcome any comments or inputs you guys may have.

    Thanks.

  3. My prediction is current because they will try to use all the visas remainding for this Fiscal Year FY, now October will be a different story and it will depend on the Immigration Reform being vetted thru Congress...If approved expect some delays due to the influx of petitions that they will have to work due to the illegal folks. I hope they will retrogress to what they left back in July Oct 2011 or Mar 2012. Good Luck people

  4. Has the checks been cashed? Did the mail actually received? Is your MIL's address correct on the I-130?

If the checks have been cashed, then USCIS must have received the petitions/

If the checks have not been cashed, then the mail may have been lost.

Double check the address on the I-130s. Was mail sent to the wrong place?

Thanks Diamond, I will have to call them but, I am not sure which processing center has the petitions, I read that once the Chicago Lockbox receives the petitions they forward to one of the Service Centers.

  6. Hello everyone, my mother-in-law is a Permanent Resident and have filed for her sons and daughters. Her first I-130 petition was filed in June 2012 and within two weeks she had a priority date of 12 June 2012. Since then she has filed for her son and daughter since July 2012 and we have not received any notices from USCIS......is it normal to be this long without any respond?? all I-130 petitions went to the Chicago Lockbox and we live in Virginia. Thank you in advance on any info provided.
