OATH CEREMONY!!! :- August 21, 2013 :-)
-
Really "On August 6, 2013, we scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent a notice providing the date, time, and location. If you move prior to the scheduled ceremony, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

"Congratulations! your application has been recommended for approval. " It was a piece of cake. :-)

I passed my naturalization test today.
It was more of a nice chat rather than an interview. The officer flew through the process in about 15 minutes. One more step...
Congratulations!!! I am going in on Monday or Tuesday (got to check the letter again). Do you wanna share the Questions they asked and documents they checked ?

Waited long for this status.
On July 1, 2013, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address

HAHAHA! This is "almost" funny. We must have spoken to the same person or they go by a script what to tell people. I got exactly the same answers. I had browsed through 8 months of forums from September 2012 - April 2013 before my 2nd call. There is clearly a pattern here that Queens/Brooklyn applicants are facing processing times between 3-5 months. The rest waited between 110 and 140 days between "In Line" and the letter. That pretty much matches what we were told: to wait another 30-45 days from now.
She probably also told you that they are processing files from August 22nd now. That would mean that there are 4 -5 months to go until USCIS reaches January 2013 filers. From my LPR application experience I can tell that this date doesn't mean much. People already received interview letters who had filed many months later. I wouldn't be too concerned about that statement.
Don't hurt yourself with the telephone! The letter will come at some point. Why don't you add yourself to the list since you filed in January as well? Let me know if you need help and I can add you. Just need to know all your dates.
Someone added me when i first comment on your post but don't know how i disappeared from the list. I am gonna bypass this N400 for couple of months now. I have green card which is good for 10 years, i don't understand why i applied for n400 :-P
I am gonna sit back and let them run there process, There is nothing oneone can do about it. Its a matter of there county's security and they can't risk it and i respect that.

Hi ANDY_Bronx,
No, it did not change at all since February 28th, still "in line for interview"! I had called after 90 days as the online status suggested to do, was given a referral number and told to call back in 2 week which I did yesterday. But still no progress. I was just told to wait for another 30-45 days and to call again if nothing arrives by then.
Please let me know what you find out tomorrow when you call.
I called them yesterday, the level 2 lady was so rude. I banged the phone on my face :-), She said the officer before opened the wrong ticket. The case is under the normal processing of 6 months and they can't do nothing about it. She also said Call us after July 17th if you don't get an interview letter and Banged the phone on my face.

105 days since the last online status change to "Interview Scheduling"! Just called again today only to find out that it will take another 30-45 days for the letter to arrive....
I also asked the question why processing times in different boroughs vary so dramatically. "Total coincidence" I was told. Just strange to see that all Brooklyn applicants become USC in less than 4 months while "official" processing time is close to 9 months now.
Good To hear that the status chaged for you, Mine is still "In line for Interview" will call them again on 14th. All d best.

Hi ANDY_Bronx,
At least I'm not alone, that is sort of comforting. Yes, I called and was given yet another deadline in 2 weeks. If nothing will have arrived by then, I was asked to call again. If you don't hear anything by June 18th, you should do the same. I was browsing through timelines in this forum from December 2012 to April 2013 and it is always the same picture: Queens and Brooklyn are far ahead of the game. Applicants from other boroughs like myself are trailing them by at least 6-10 week.
Good luck to you. After 7 1/2 months this chapters should be closed for us as well.
I called them today before my 90 days and got connected to level 2 rep, she told there is a change in process. Before they use to schedule interviews b4 background check but now they do it after background check in that transition some applications got skipped n unfortunately we might be one of them. But she escalated it and created a ticket for me.

Happy Anniversary to me! 90 days since the last status change and absolutely nothing!
Processing time in NY was just revised to 7.4 months.
What is really unbelievable is the fact that one fellow NYer is already a US citizen and another one will be soon. This Sunday it will be 5 months since I filed. I guess 2.4 more to go.
Will call USCIS today but don't believe that will change much.
Hi
I have been following This Thread and N 400 January filer from NYC, I filed on January 16 2013 and still in line for interview since March 18th 2013. Just want to follow up with you if u called USCIS and escalated your case as it is out of 90 days period ?
