  1. Hi everyone, please enlighten me because there's so many question in my mind right now maybe because we got denied but im not angry or whatsoever im just confused and a bit sad. Im happy because atleast we tried. Here's a little bit of my questions...

    1. If you have an approved petition by an LPR would it be difficult for you to get a tourist visa?

    2. If you are applying for a tourist visa will it be more easier if you will be invited by someone who is an LPR? - Because my mom sent us a letter of invitation but when we faced the visa officer when he asked us "what's our purpose" we answered "we're gonna visit our mom and siblings" and then the visa officer didn't even bother to check the files that we brought with us (now here's my question) will be our faith different if we answered "Our mom invited us to the US?" because she sent us an invitation letter and many other supporting documents.

    3. Here' the rest of the interview: about my work, income, if im single (yes), if i have kids (none) and first time to travel outside philippines (yes) and THAT's it.

    4. Sorry your not qualified

    5. Can you please give me some of your observation, suggestion, honest opinion and conclusion why it end-up that way.

    Thank you.

  2. Thank you for your detailed response. Question po, there's no need for my mom to write a letter of invitation? because i saw something like that. Thank you.

    Applying for a tourist visa

    Things You'll Need:

    Valid passport

    Passport photos (us visa)

    Step 1

Locate the nearest U.S. Consulate or Embassy in your country using the U.S. Embassy website. Visit the website of the local U.S. Embassy and click on the visa section. Review the visa application procedure as it applies to the embassy to which you will be submitting your application. The required documents and submission procedure may vary among embassies.

    Step 2

Obtain electronic form DS-156 from the U.S. Department of State website. Type your answers directly into the fields provided. Click "Continue" to generate a PDF version of your application. Print a hard copy of this application.

    Step 3

Obtain form DS-157 if you are a male applicant between the ages of 16 and 45. This supplemental application form requires information about the applicant's educational background, military service and weapons training.

    Step 4

Gather the required supporting documents for nonimmigrant visa applications. They will need to submit one 2-inch-by-2-inch color passport photo and your valid passport. Provide documents that demonstrate the intended tourism purposes in the U.S. Provide proof of intentions to leave the U.S. before your visa expiration, such as a family in the home country, school registration or employment obligations. Also, provide a bank statement or other documentation that demonstrates ability to finance stay in the U.S. Contact the embassy to inquire if the office requires additional documentation or paperwork for visa applicants. Embassies may have unique requirements for visa applications.

    Step 5

Determine the fee you will need to pay by calculating the applicable application and issuance fee. Application fees are standard for all visa applications and cover the U.S. government's cost to issue visas. Issuance fees apply only to citizens of countries that charge visa issuance fees to U.S. citizens. The application fee is $160. Issuance fees vary by country. Pay the fee according to your embassy's regulations.

    Step 6

Contact the U.S. Embassy to schedule an appointment to interview for your visa. All applicants between age 14 and 79 must interview with a U.S. Embassy as part of the application process. Bring your application, passport, fee payment and supporting documents to your visa appointment. After the interview, the embassy may inform you that additional paperwork is needed. Submit any additional documents in a timely manner. Your visa will be issued after all requirements have been satisfied.

  3. Hello everyone!

    Greetings of Peace!

Im kinda getting confused and hopeless right now that's why I need your help. Because when I checked my status at casestatus.do when i entered my receipt number it said "we mailed you a denial decision notice for this case" but on the I-797 NOA it said that "the above petition has been approved". Here's a little info on my petition, the receipt date of my I-797 is Dec 12,2008, 3 days before my 21st birthday. Obviously I aged out already. So im guessing that my category got downgraded from F2A to F2B right? But why on casestatus.do it stated that my petition is denied? Which one should I follow the one stating that my petition is approved or the one saying my petition is denied?

    Thank you for your response.

    Take care always.

  4. what type of petition do you have. the approval is on the second NOA or notice of action. the firt noa of the i130 form is a receipt. the second noa sent is the approval of the i130.

Thank you for your response, it's like im being hit by a train right now, because I'm starting to realize that what I'm holding right now is 1st NOA and the 2nd NOA is not with me, all this years of waiting I thought that im holding on the right document, my greatest fear is that my 2nd NOA is denied, and hurts to accept that all this years i've been waiting and keeping on track of the priority date to be current will end up to be a wasted time because i'm traveling on a very dark path to nowhere. Because my mom and all of us has no idea of all this, when she received the 1st NOA she and we thought that all we have to do is wait for the priority date to be current. SO SAD. Thank you for enlightening me.
