  1. If the travel company can change the name on her ticket to match her name on her passport, that would be the best way to travel. If not, she may not be cleared thru security. If they can't change her name on her ticket, she should take along a copy of your marriage certificate showing the reason for her name change.

Legally however, an airline is not obligated to allow a passenger to board whose names do not match on her passport and ticket. Sometimes they will let you if you have a copy of your marriage certificate. Sometimes.

    Ok, thanks for the info!

  2. My wife and I have been married for bearly 2 years. She is now a permanent resident of the US. We have a trip booked to the Bahamas.

When we signed up for the trip, we used her married name. Her married name is what is used on her driver's license, social security card, etc. But her passport issued to her from her native Ukraine still has her maiden name of course. I got thinking about this. Will this be a problem when we go thru immigration in Florida prior to leaving for the Bahamas?

    Thanks,

    Bob

  3. Hi all,

My fiance and I are getting married today. I want to thank everyone who answered my posts on these forums while we were going thru the visa process. Your help was really appreciated!!

So after we get married today, what is the next step? I assume we must send a copy of the marriage license to an immigration office somewhere. Maybe someone can give me a link to a web site that will explain what we do next.

    Thanks!

    Bob
