We are just waiting on our waiver approval to go to the interview in juarez.

Praying that everything goes well. Good luck. Let us know how it went!

It all sounds so simlilar to ours. Well except the fact that you showed a medical record. We have nothing Of that just my mother she has diabeter high cholesterol and all that. My husband isomrom Michoacan, Mexico and honestly things are not going so well over there as of right now. I printed some articles hopping that will help, we also have no children for the same reason as you. We do not desire to take our kids to Mexico its way to dangerous. I have never lived in Mexico and I did mention about U.S citizens being seen as targets for kidnapping. I mentioned a very high level of unemployed and very low minimum wage also......we have been very nervous to see if we dont get approved because of not showing a medical record and not having kids either. Am sure we still have a low % of getting approved because of that, but ill leave it to God. He know best and thanx for sharing.

Be patient 4 months is not enought time for you to receive and answere yet. Ours took approx 7 to 8 months. Hold on tight hopefully you receive an answere sooner and stay strong.

***** Moving from CR- to Waivers forum for more answers *****
Violence in his country would only help if the whole country was that, and there are safe areas in Mexico you could move to together. You need to show it would be a hard ship on YOU, the US citizen, for him not to be allowed to immigrate.
Well almost very place in Mexico are having drug and violence problems, but I was trying to be specific that the state where he is from is extremely going down as of right now too. many innocent people dying thanks to just lost bullets flying around and a recent friend of my husband was shot in the head twice. there are armed people everywhere just taking care of who comes in an who goes out if you look new to town or suspicious you will be killed. my husbands parents are trapped in the town because they are not being allowed to leave by the armed people. And lets just say we were to find a place in Mexico to live they job rate there is very low to sustain a family, I have never lived in Mexico and I would not be able to get an decent job because of status in Mexico. I have no Mexican papers. All this will b new to me and am sure if we were to Michoacán, Mexico I would suffer very much, I mean who would enjoy moving to a place where the drug cartels are always fighting for their drug and taking over town even killing federal police. for the past year I cant help just think about all that, we are very scared to start a family in a place full of violence like that, and we desire to form a family very soon, but the situation right now is not the best.

Well we knew from the start that my husband was going to need a waiver because he entered the united states unsupervised and he stayed longer than he could of in the United States. If your husband did that also than he will too need to apply for a i601 waiver. But since march 4th 2013 peoe who havent left the country can stay here and wait for a response of acceptance without leaving the united states, and once ur waiver is approved his interview will be shecudeled Ana.

What am worried about is how to prove all that? And does anybody knw if the vilance in his home country will help in the hardship letter??? Or is it just a rummor we heared???

Yes I have given my extream hardship letter to my lawyer but I have no medical record and kids with my husband and almos all examples I have read have an extream medical record or kids...all I could think of was talking about Mexixo having all the violent and drug problems with cartels and all that mess. Specially from where my husband is from. His state is full of drug cartels and so many people are dying. Last week their was some woman dead due to the police fighting and shooting with the cartels. Ita just crazy in his place, so much violans and kidnapping.

I am asking for my husband. I am a US Citizen but a little worried because we are days from sending our waiver and oir lawyer is telling us that we might get denied because I have no medical record what so ever and we have no kids yet...but come on who wants to risk it, having kids with out their father here? I am really scared we might really get denied. My husband has no criminal record and he has paid his taxes and all that. I have sent pictures of our wedding and several letters from friends and parents. I am not sure what to expect..please if you have been approved on your i601A share your story.=/

Hey... i have a quick question.
well i have fread many waiver letters on line and even from a friend that
let me read hers. there is something i have noticed on every single hardship letter and that
is that every letter the person has a health problem. the problem is mostly always serious or even life
thretning. The problem is that i have no health problems therefor i have nothing to writte about
in my hardship letter tieing me to the U.S. has anybody heard of this affecting the strength of your waiver due to that??? Help please!
-
Thnx guys....onother thing is that why when i search approved extream hardship letters: the results show a packet that is very thick from paper is that how much i have to write?.. (worried)
-
Hello everybody, well i wanted to ask if anybody can help me. I went to speak to my lawyeron fridayshe gave me a list of some intructions to wriiting my letter she said to take my timei have till march 4th, But she kinda just said (writte a letter from the bottom of your heart, with reall feallings, how you would suffer ect...) well i get that but she never told me if it had to be in any special format....do i just grab a pencil and paper and start expressing my feelings or what? because am guessing they are the ones that puts it together rigt? If not why are we paying for lawyers? Please help me guys......Thanxxxx!

Well i really just wanted to share how thankful and excited i am for this waiver being approved. Hopefully less and less families are seperated. Many of us were waiting for this and am happy for everybody :-)
now its just to see how this new form i601a is going to work due to the fact that their wont be anymore extreme hardshi. Will it be harder to get an approved waiver..??? Who knows..!!! If any body has an idea of the new steos to this waiver please comment..thanx...
-
It seems that the guidelines and procedures of waivers has since changed. Cuidad Juarez can no longer accept these waivers. They were previously allowed to, but not any more. The waiver is filed AFTER a denial and then must be sent to the Phoenix lockbox in the US. You can request them to expedite with an emergency basis, with proof. But if there is no emergency, it is taking 4 months for a decision. I learned this because my fiance too will require a waiver, in Mexico, due to being illegal for 8 years in the US without detection, record or being deported.
oh i see. sound just like our case!!!
thanx for ur opinion..it helps knowing that there is others with same situation
-
I believe that is the one where they will approve really quickly. I have a in-law cousin who had the same issue with her husband. I was shocked at how quickly he got back to the US. I think it was less than 2 months or something.
WOW!!! I am really hoppimg thats our case too 2 months is very quick . The thing is that how do the offoces that approve the waiver know if tha waiver is Readily Approvable?
-
More details please. Like why is the waiver needed? Thanks
oh yes..sorry my husbands waiver is needed because he has been in the US longer that 180 days. He has no criminal records or any deportation or anything.
and he will be waiting in Mexico for his waiver to be approved...does this help? ask me i will do my best to explain
-
HEy guys!!! well i was reading around trying to inform my self about this whole Waiver thing...
Well anybody know how a waiver is known to to be "READILY APPROVABLE"? aparently Ciudad, Juarez office checks if the
waiver is readily approvable for it to be processed fast. but how do they know if it is? help please
-
Second interview is not automatic - you need first prove hardship to US citizen, not just apply for a waiver. And you probably need lawyer for that...
I have a lawyer its just that lawyers always speak like if we all completely understand what they are talkin about...lol
but how do you really show extream hardship???? i know that the lawyer takes care of that but am just wondering ?
-
CONGRATS.....be very thankful and always keep God in mind he is the one that gives us strength to go thru all problems.
Pray and he will listen.
-
He will require a waiver. I am not sure how long the process takes, but I'm sure someone will be able to answer that question. Good luck.
THANX.... so do you know if he will be scheduled a second interview??
-
Hey anybody please explain if you have gone thru this part already
Well my i-130 has been approved yayy! it has been sent to the NVC
and we are still waiting to receive word from them. But the real question
is that ive been told that when my husband receives the note to go to his interview
he would get denied because he entered the US elligaly and stayed more than 180 days...
thats when you cant come back in 3 up to 10 year....So if he gets denied on his interview we file a WAIVER right????
and i heared he has to wait till his waiver is approved...but approx. how ong will it take till it gets approved and
how long till he receives his second interview..Honestly i dont even know if its true that he will be rejected on the firts interview! am just so confused... and if it is true i really want to know about how long are Waivers taking to get approved now in days????
HELP PLEASE
-
Yayyy...CONGRATS!!! i know it feels great! Here comes the next step :0
-
