I'm happy to see everyone's progress but dang when will it be our turn? Biometrics was 9/16 and we are still in initial review. Grrrr

It usually is a week or so after the biometrics appointment date, for most people. You should hear something soon. Going in early doesn't speed things up, based on what I've read here.

Which puts us at three weeks, still nuttin:( oh well. Nuttin I can do but wait...

Walk in Biometrics appt completed 2 weeks early no issues

There hadn't been many posts for those in my area, the only ones I was able to find were 5 or more years old, and said it wasn't possible. For those in Omaha, the office does take walk ins for Biometrics, they will have you go when no one is waiting for their appointment time (obviously). We were able to get ours two weeks ahead of schedule.

Got our letter for Biometrics today, appt isn't until 10/1..really hoping we can do a walk in...want to hurry and be done!

Well said Jawaree- My husband has very little money and does not want to leave the country- why would he? All of his friends, cousins, family are there and he loves it in JA. Coming to the US is going to be a huge culture shock for him and will require a lot of patience and perseverence. I know I rubbed some people the wrong way with this post and for that I am sorry. I am just so sick of the negative comments I get from everyone around me and wanted to see if anyone else out there experienced the same. I need to be confident in my own relationship and not let the adversity poison my mind. Am working on that...

I am going again to JA on Friday and can't wait. I get to cook dinner for the entire family- which should be an experience since I can't cook lol.

Your post shouldnt have rubbed anyone wrong as you were only point out what we all have experienced. This forum is to vent while we wait, engage other like mind folks and bounce ideas and opinions off of eachother, you have nothing to apoligize for cus we all been there (or still going thru it)

btw, im extremely jealous of you going back to the island , enjoy ur time with ur hunny, and fucc what others think or say, cause at the end of the day, its u and him against the world..

we originally had a big ceremony planned, but after the stress of the process, and other stressors, we did courthouse as well, at the end of the day, im still his wife regardless of the path taken

yes, ur husband will drive u batty, because they are bored, my husband is soooooo not used to sitting still so this is really hard.. hopefully ead comes soon..(for us both!)

Its been a long journey ...and it really hadn't taught me anything about learning to be patient. But I know if it weren't for this site...and my fellow Dec filers, I'd end up in a looney bin.

With that being said, we have our visa in hand ...

omg jand rp!!! thats so funny, he was telling me that someone asked him about being rohandlulu and they were nice and from vj, and i was like really? ####### ever! lol what are the odds, but with all the excitement of the interview approval, i didnt really pay attention, and didnt know of anyone having an interview date same as ours

thank u! he appreciated whatever was said and thought it was cool to have folks rooting for us who didnt know us. ill make sure to tell him u asked about him.

unfortunately there will continue to be a delay, his mom passed a few weeks ago, and her body will be shipped to JA, so hes overseeing the arrangements, i just wanted the k1 done and it finally is..
