My fiancee's interview is in 2 days, and I just found out the new form ds 160 replaces all of the 156 156k and 157 form, do i have to submit that form and get a confirmation for her?

but i saw one of the exception is that

-The K visa applicant has already submitted a valid, signed, unexpired DS-156, DS-156K and/or DS-230 or received instructions to do so。

she send in the ds230 form in August after she received her p3, so i would assume that is not expired. So does that mean she is exempt from the new process??

My fiancee finally scheduled her k1 interview for 12/16 at 845am at the Guangzhou consulate, is it true that on that day she is only to hand in her documents and fingerprints?and the actual interview is the next day? So should we book the hotel an extra day anticipating the two day process.

what if i don't want to schedule for appointment, holiday season is really busiest time of the year for me been in retail, i won't be able to make it back in china until maybe Jan, can i just pay the fee and wait till Jan appointments opens up??

hmm,this is totally different from what she got, she received nothing but a one page instruction to send back ds230 part 1 and some photos...am I going crazy?that seems like the p4 instruction...

The p3 packet didn't mention anything such as payment instructions,did she miss something?

How do we check the case status after p3 packet was sent back to the consulate?my fiancee sent her forms back on 9/18 and have not received p4 yet,from what i have read so far is it true there is no longer a physical p4 packets and everything is done online thru CGI Stanley now?and interview can be scheduled before the p4 arrives?she has not registered with CGI Stanley yet should it now or wait for p4?any help would be appreciated.

WRONG. That's the GUZ IV Packet 3 supplemental form used for CR-1/IR-1 visa chasers with doc intake at NVC.

NOT K-1 visa chasers, at all.

You had a nomemclature problem with this when you got the RFE for it, as I recall.

One more question,where in this package does it say what forms are to be submitted/mailed to the consular???or is it all electronic forms done on CGI Stanley website now??

Huh, I did not send in any ds230 form for my petition, now am confused.

I searched embassy info and could not find the answer since they only have packet4 posted. My question is what does packet3 contains and what should my fiancee send back and what she should bring to the embassy on interview day.

Am in the process of gathering Evidemce for my I134, do I need to make two packets containing the same contents?as for one to mail to embassy and another for her to take to the interview?

Congratulations man,so happy to see so many people getting approved today. As for myself, I already went to my banks and got the consular letters stating my savings, now just waiting to talk to my human resource manager to get the letter stating my employment and income, I got all of my tax transcripts for 2010,11,12 and W2 ready to go also.Gathering all of our boarding passes and photos for proof of ongoing relationship.

When I did my I129 package,I send receipt for the engagement ring, photos of us together AND our parents together, boarding passes, and that about it, and the letters of intent from both parties.I only met her once so there wasn't much boarding passes or emails to show for.

Congratulations, I am also Dec 28th NOA1 and was approved Friday,and someone else with the same date was approved on Thursday, they must be almost done with December filers and moving toward JAn and Feb filers.

for those who were approved on this thread, how long did it take to get your noa2 after the transfer to tsc. i'm curious as my petition was transferred yesterday.

Got the notice of the transfer on May 30th,hope it helps.

Woke up around 1AM and decided to try my luck again with the USCIS, and saw this little surprise. it funny that how I just sent in a E-request last morning and bitched about the process in a thread and I got this in return, I guess squeaky wheels do get the grease sometimes,lol.

I got transferred to TSC with some of you guys and my NOA1 is Dec.28th,so you guys should be receiving NOA2 soon also.Good lick and thank you guys for all the help.
