  1. I apologies for very unreasonable and unacceptable behavior from people. I my self have faced many harsh reply on my questions. I don't know what they are doing here but obviously not helping. We all are frustrated and we do ask question which may not be important to others but there are many who may want to ask same question, so rather raising doubts, shouting, insulting and mimicking I suggest you ignore our question and try not to reply.

We are new to VJ and we have rights to ask question in any form we may chose to. If you think you can help us, well then please help us and we will appreciate your help, but if you think you just want to scold, insult and make us feel that we are stupid to raise such a question then I am sorry but we do not need your help.

nonee1229, RFE is a sign that your case is moving and you can expect an approval soon. Congrats and please do raise your questions, if any. We all are here to help each other.

And robinhood I do wanna thank you for being a positive person even though u don't have much to offer as of right now or actually know me personaly but having positive ppl in this particular situation that most of the world go through is very little to find, and im glad ur around and hopefully when u finish ur journey you would be around to help others with their situations POSITIVLY , because im sure many more out there will go through what ppl on here go through and would definitely need the positive help and support even if it is as little as a simple simly face on the reply box!!!!! again thank you so much, and hopefully there are more of you out here I already found 3 or 4 ppl on this site that had quite helped me as much as they can and ur my 5th person, so glad to have u around (F) (F) :)

  2. Everyone gets frustrated with the system. It's not transparent. We don't know what's going on. We have ZERO control over the process and a lot of people have a hard time dealing with that. I know I did. Especially so because I'm the beneficiary and could never call the USCIS. But it was a good thing not to call in our case, it wasn't needed. My husband works for the government and has since he was 18 either with the military and currently. He said to let them do their job for X amount of time. So we did.

By the way not everyone feels comfortable sharing everything with everyone on the internet (including which office is their local office etc...) Some people prefer their privacy. We need to respect that and ask politely for more information if we wish to help. They can always say no and no thank you to the help that requires the extra information.

Many people come on here, look at all the guides, all the wikis, and read posts regarding their subject before posting a thread or replying to one. I did my research before and after joining VJ. It's a self help site. If you can't do this on your own, then perhaps having professional help is the way to go.

No one can make you feel a certain way, it's your choice always. Should you find yourself feeling a certain way perhaps take a step back, reassess your feelings and figure out how to fix them. If I'm angry, I find the cause, then decide if it's really worth being angry about. Women in general have a harder time with logical thinking but this process often requires it, and a great deal of patience, which modern society lacks in spades.

But to make a post asking why everything is taking so long, then expect someone not to say, why are you whining? is a little silly. You get what you put out there. If you sound like a 2 year old having a tantrum, people will treat you as such. It works that way in the real world. There is a guy at my work that whines whenever he asks a question, goes about asking the question in a round about manner, is passive aggressive towards everyone unless he feels affronted and then decides to confront you when he's the one who's been reprimanded for making the mistakes, instead of accepting the consequences of his actions. No one likes him. It's not hard to figure out why no one likes him is it?

An RFE does not mean expect an approval soon. It means you are missing something they need to make a decision on your petition. It does mean it'####### someone's desk and it's being looked at so that is a good thing. However, that doesn't mean it's about to be approved, just that a decision will hopefully be made soon.

Hopefully you find my post enlightening, if not, then by all means feel free to put me on ignore and not read my posts again. That is always an option. Have a lovely Sunday. :)

that's great for you as well, and I have done my research and no thank you I don't need help with my anger, its just funny how ppl can reply to a post that have negative stuff posted in it and some how miraculously have a come back to say, and have a full mouth to say but don't have a short simple some what hopeful reply even if it doesn't mean much to u or might not help, but showing some what of a hopeful support to a person who might be frustrated about the same exact situation that ur in or u might off been through already u don't know how it might make that frustrated person feel, but unfortunately I guess ppl don't have that kind of sense anymore, and they just have something to say back to either back others up or just wanna show how wise they really are, which either way doesn't help the ppl that are in need for help, then I just suggest for ppl out there that might not like the topics frustrated ppl post or don't like what is in it,then save ur little fingers a typing and do ur self and the other person a favor and go on with ur life, and let others that might just might have some what a positive reply shed some light on someone else's day or maybe life!!!!!!!!!

  3. Fair enough... I did not go research your RFE to see when it arrived. You are correct in that. I do apologize. However, I am responding to THIS thread and not wandering off looking for other posts that might be related to you. Chewing me out for stating something that is 100% accurate based on this particular post, is also not necessary.

My response to THIS post was spot on, based on the continuation of the posts where you mention the RFE. There was no attitude from me, just clarity regarding meeting the needs of your particular situation. You might consider, in the future, updating your own posts. For example: you could have come back to this post and explained that you got an RFE as a new response to the post. THEN, for those of us who are coming and trying to help, and reading through this thread, we would know what was going on and not make you feel like we are putting you down somehow.

I apologize, again, if I made you feel upset, which I obviously have. But would like to remind you again that chewing ME out in this way is not necessary. I don't need to be scolded. I am someone who is active on the boards and here to help in whatever way I can. I could have just left after I got my Visa like so many people do but I said I would stick around to help and provide updated information since I have just recently gone through the process.

that is great for you, just like how u stated that you don't need to be scolded same goes for me, and your reply really didn't have any kind of indication of help, and to me personally I consider it disrespect to the fact that u don't even know me to reply to me in this kind of way and u basically just made me look like a whiny person lookin for pity and not doing what im supposed to do and I just post threads to whine like a child, which I totally do not highly appreciate and for that I replied in the same tone as ur reply!!!! and if you did read the previous reply that I had before niki u woulda seen that it clearly state that there have been an update for my case by me asking tomvan about my requested evidence which if you read was tellin me that they noticed that I got a RFE and actually congratulated me on the SAME Thread with a positive reply, so making me look like a whiny person searching for pity was also not nessecary.

  4. You are asking why it is taking so long to get your NOA2 yet you haven't responded to the RFE? Perhaps you should slow down and take care of your task before asking what is taking so long. At least you know that they have looked at your file. And be sure as to whether or not you are sending an original or a certified copy or just a photocopy because you will need the original for NVC stage. Also, as Niki pointed out, you need to send the same as what they have a translated version of. That should have been sent originally.

Instead of being upset that it is taking so long I would be grateful that they didn't send your package back to you because you were missing an item but instead opted to ask you to supply the missing document.

Once you send what they have asked for then you can start watching the timing. Until then, you should not be complaining about why it is taking so long since it is up to you to get your case moving again.

ok thank u for the lovely reply hun, its just full of respect in the way you word things!!!!!!!!!!!!, and for your information I wrote that thread before I received the letter for the RFE, which was 2 days ago and which means I didn't knw what was happening yet, you shoulda checked the date of the tread and the date I received the RFE before you reply with such wonderful attitude, and that is if you even cared which probably did not and wanted to just say something for the heck of it, and secondly im higly grateful with my RFE letter and I made a thread about it sayin how thrilled I really was about it, and the last thing I need really is for somebody to tell me how to act, we're all in the same boat and we all get frustrated unless your a special case, then great for you, but really if you don't have anything positive to reply back to somebody who is frustrated about the process that half the nation go through and get frustrated about as well, then keep your lovely reply!!!!!!! and one last thing the reason for me to start that thread was not to complain or make a pity thread for my frustration, I was actually hoping for somebody out there who might off possibly went through the same field office as mine and might tell me more about the office, and again thanks greatly for that high light of my day with ur reply!!!!!

  5. You almost there! I saw you have an RFE and that is a good sign ok baby! You will get an approve very soon if you already sent in what they want.

awwwwwww, thank you soo much, Im getting ready to send their request of evidence, but im a little confused the evidence that they want is my original native birth certificate, I sent in the translated virgin, but the request said a certified copy of the original birth certificate from Egypt which where im from, the thing is I an old virgin of the birth certificate and a new virgin, the translation though was from the old one, so what should I send exactly????

  6. Are you the USC? If you are, then you were supposed to send that in the first place. If you did send it, it's possible they lost the first copy. If you're the beneficiary, some local offices have been asking for the beneficiary's translated birth certificate for some reason. Regardless of the reason - who cares? You got an RFE, meaning you're very close to NOA2. Get ahold of that birth certificate and send it in! kicking.gif Congrats!

thank youuu, :innocent: im the petitioner, but im a naturalized citizen my husband and I are the same nationality though, but anyway, my only concern is the the letter came in my husband's name, so im worried they might off mixed it up and think im the beneficiary

  7. I got RFE today, im not mad im actually happy it gave me some what of a ahope, any way my question here is that the letter came in husband's name, this is how it looked, on the envelope his name first then c/o and my name next to it, and in side on the letter on the upper left corner it had his name, and ofcourse what they are asking for, and if this gonna help answer my question, they requested my original birth certificate, is that normal or could they might think that he is the petitioner and im the beneficiary?????????? :innocent:

  8. OKAY I received a letter today RFE, and im jumping for joy, im not crazy, just finally knwing that they some what looked at my file is joying to me, anyway, my question here is that the letter came in husband's name, this is how it looked, on the envelope his name first then c/o and my name next to it, and in side on the letter on the upper left corner it had his name, and ofcourse what they are asking for, and if this gonna help answer my question, they requested my original birth certificate, is that normal or could they might think that he is the petitioner and im the beneficiary?????????? :innocent:

  10. Hello!

You can check how many petitions are being processed at your local office here. It seems to be around 3500. I think thats quite a load, but then again, how fast they process also depends on how many people they have employed at that office. You will see that bigger offices have higher petitions (obviously), but to get a better estimate of how soon its going to be processed, I think you have to consider what is the adjudicator

to petition ratio. In other words, how many petitions is one adjudicator handling in your local office!

That too is just a guess :)

I just checked my local office, I honestly don't understand the chart. what is the difference between yje volume chart and the trend chart??

  11. I called the uscis today and was informed that my case has been routed to the tampa field office, is that a good thing or a bad thing????, and I was told that I might get a notice for interview but also may not, well how are the field offices and how is the tampa field office???? I mean do they take longer or normal or they are slow and might wait more than 5 months????? I mean what do I expect at this point???

  12. okay, its almost 4 months since my noa1 and I havnt heard anything, yes I knw ppl have been waitin since june and july im aware, but my file was sent to the NBC not Vermont not California not texas not Chicago, when I called uscis they said still in the NBC, ppl have filed after me by week or so through THE NBC ( and im not yelling just high lighting with caps) like myself and got their noa2s, why am I still no news, and yes im awar work load has been over in though service centers, but ppl have gotten approved after from the same service center, and NO BODY WOULD TELL ME WHERE IS MY FILE, which im sure it sent to a local office but the uscis doesn't want to tell me, WHAT IS TAKING SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG??????????????????? this is driving me off the wall

  13. It isn't still at NBC. Don't believe that for a second.

There is no difference between natural born and naturalized citizens for this purpose.

what do I do?? I want to know what is happening with my case, are they even looking at it or is it just hangin under some employee's McDonalds bag chillin till he or she feels like working on it????? I mean what is happening, how do I find out something or anything?????? :(

  14. I have almost the same problem, I live in Tampa, but idk if they transferred my case to a local office, I mean I knw their normal range time is 5 months but ppl have been getting approved a lot faster and im almost hitting the 5 months rank, I don't understand :bonk: and that is what I was told its still in the NBC being processed, just curious do they categorize the cases by if the petitioner is a born citizn or a naturalized citizen???

  15. I don't know. Have you called and spoke with an ISO and asked if your case is still at NBC? If not, it don't hurt to ask. I called USCIS after a month just to get information and found out about the address and that my case was still at NBC. Later I called and was told it was transferred to filed office end of January.

i want to do that, but I don't know how to ask for the ios, I mean when I talk with a cst rep do I ask for the ios right away?, or what do I say, ive never done this before, and do I say may I speak with ios or is there a specific name do I say, I know I sound very stupid right now, im just scared I might get like yelled at from them or something, need help terribly, :( :( :(
