  1. CEAC is not the most accurate website for checking status of your passport/visa.

so what is really the accurate method then? how abput through their e mail. this is frustrating they are saying different things

  2. My husband is getting me nervous so i would like to ask for any comments about this.. my husband had his interview on the 4th, the consul said he was approved and did not asko for any documents. But he called the helpdesk and they told him that they are still processing it. Is this normal? Or there something wrong with it?? Thanks in advance

  3. Hi anybody here who availed the expedite interview (example: NVC scheduled you for a later date and called US EM in Manila and rescheduled it for an earlier date but same month)and was entertained and given a visa?

  4. Michelle's interview was on the 3rd. The visa was printed on the the 9th and was received by 2GO at the Mall of Asia on the evening of the 11th. We'll be flying home to the US on the 16th. Waiting for the visa to avail of the immigrant discount saved us ~$100. It was not much but it was a bonus none the less.

Thats not bad thanks for the info il be doing the same thing. :)

  5. good day guys...just to give you an update...

our interview was dec 19, interview went fine but unfortunately, our visa was placed on a pending application. The consul noticed that the address of our Co-sponsor used on his W2's and ITR's are different from the one that he used on his I-864A. The reason is because he moved to a new address that's why we need to send a new form which is the I-864 to be filled up by our co-sponsor and not my petitioner. I was able to send the new form to the embassy via 2GO on Dec 27 due to the holiday season and the embassy received it on Jan 3. From then, we waited for a notice from the embassy if there's still any problem on our papers.

On January 9, our visa arrived. (thank GOD!). Imagine...it could have been only a week after our interview for our visa to be processed if we didn't had a problem on our papers! But it's ok, we finally have our visa! I attended the PDOS the next day without my son because he's only 3 yrs old (and he's exempted) and got our CFO sticker on our passports on the same day. And now we are scheduled to leave on Jan 17! yey!

Guys, just a tip...make sure that you don't have any electronics in your bag when you attend your interview including USB and even COLOR! i brought a coloring book and 8pcs of colors for my son for him not to get bored(since electronics are not allowed) but the guards did not allow me to bring the color inside. So don't forget to check your bags before going to the embassy.

More patience and prayers guys...you'll soon receive a good news...Goodluck to all of you and God bless :D:yes:

congrats! Cant wait for our turn!

The immigrant visa stamp is needed to avail of the 1st-time immigrant discount. I had my interview last Friday, Jan 4, got the visa packet yesterday, Thursday, Jan 10. Then booked my flight today, availed of the discount - it's a big help!

really? when are u leaving? how much is the discount? slmat! :)

    and are u from manila?

  7. Has your visa been printed yet? Sometimes you can get your visa printed on the same day as your interview, other times it can take a few days (or longer if there is something odd with your paperwork). Once it is printed it will take a few days to get handed over to 2Go. I think the average is around three or four working days.

not yet my interview will be on feb 25.. i just want to get an idea on when should i book my flight to us because i want to leave right away! Thanks

  8. DS 160 is for non immigrants i thought.

If you have already filled DS230 then take a copy with you and the part 2, so you can sign it there.

Hi Waheguru! are you the petitioner? IF you are, I know you are going for naturalization interview on the 18th based on ur signature. Do u know or did u asked ur lawyer or USCIS how will ur change of immigration status before ur husband's interview affect his F2a process at the moment?

  9. Hi, summmer13,

    Congrat! You must be relieved.

Did you receive email alert or a message for your interview?

My priority date was Sep 17th, did bio on Oct 2nd and placed inline for interview on Oct 5th.

I got a yellow letter just before Christmas.

I saw several posts saying they got an interview letter. I don't know what happened to my case.

Did your online status change from 'Testing and Interview' to 'Interview scheduled'?

    Thanks

We have the same flow of events. My status online was updated as it should be. I just reveived the letter today ang my interview will be on feb 4. Now i wonder how would this affect my husband' s f2a petition is interview will be on feb 25.

  10. Hi Caro18 and Jeff&Madz,

My online status is "Initial Review" from past 4 months. My status have not been changed yet and I have not heard anything yet. I called USCIS Customer service and they say that They cannot find whether my interview letter has been already sent or not. Looks like either chicago office is very very slow or my application is lost somehwere at the corner of chicago office.

im also from chicago pd is sept 12. I received the yellow letter 2wks ago and thats all havent heard anything up to now they are just so slow that is all i can say.
