  1. Hi,

My fiancee has her packet back. We are waiting to hear when her interview will be now. I just have some questions about the I-134 that I am doing for her. It might sound silly that I am asking this stuff, but I don't want to mess anything up. I think everyone gets a little nervous on these forms since you're dealing with something so important.

Anyway, on question 7 you say that you are employed in a type of business with (name of concern). What is a concern? I am in the military so my business would be the U.S. Army I guess. No clue what a concern is.

The next question is about the Oath or affirmation of sponsor. The last line asks for the signature of officer admnistering oath. Do I have to have someone sign this other than me? And when it says "my commission expires on" is that asking when I will stop giving support to the person I am doing the affadavit for?

    Thanks for the help.

  2. I found out 3 AUG my I-129F got approved!!! I have some questions about what is going to happen next though. I know that I am supposed to supply some tax returns with my Affadavit of support. Here is the problem, I don't have any tax returns! I am 23 and graduated college DEC 05. Now, I am an officer in the Army. I'm doing fine and won't have a problem showing I can support my fainceé. While I was in college, I had a scholarship and I never worked. Since I never worked, I never had to pay taxes. I just started my military job JAN 06, so I haven't done a tax return yet. How is this going to work out? Anyone been in a similar circumstance?

  3. What if they ask for tax returns and you don't have them to give? I just graduated from college in December. I have a career now and I'm doing fine. I lived off of my parents support for the last five years that I was in college, so I've never actually filed taxes. I've never had a taxable income until now. I'm 23. Is that going to be a problem?

With my luck...yeah! Maybe this Imbra ####### is going to delay the whole thing until the next tax time rolls around and I actually have to file taxes!

  4. The check was cashed over two and a half weeks ago at least and I still have not gotten anything in the mail. The notice of action that I got saying I paid the wrong fee had a case number on it, but at the time I was in such a hurry to get to work that I didn't think to write it down when I was at the post office. Is there a way to find out what your case number is?

  5. Hey Guys,

May be someone could tell me whats up with my case now.I don't know what to expect anymore...

Here is what happened: My I-129f was sent FEB.22nd, BUT made a mistake...i did not know that the fee was now- $170-, because on the Form i printed out ,said we were suppose to send $165.

Then,on march 17th i got a letter saying "Notice of Action" in it, but talking about the wrong fee.So at the same day i re-sent the documents with the right amount of money. Five days later, the money was cashed out of my bank account, and so far nothing else happened. No other documents were sent to me. So, my question is: Was that my NOA-1???What am i waiting for now???

I apprecciate if anyone could tell me anything at all about this!!

    Thanks.

  6. I put my K-1 packet in the mail to the Texas Service Center on February 22. I sent a check and it still has not been cashed with my bank. I check everyday to see if that check has been cased so I will know that the service center at least has my packet. How long does it usually take? What is the next thing I can expect while I am waiting?
