      i think this is just one of their delaying technique..my case was like this..my interview was on 8th nov..AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT (AOS) was not original as my fiance submitted the original docs in USA when he was filing for visa..the guy who took my interview still insisted on an original copy..so i got a white slip 221g for missing docs..my fiance had to send it again..i submitted this doc on 15th nov..and m waiting since then..waiting sucks big time!! i only wish that i m there for chr...

      ur case is like Jay Jay in that matter..he was also not informed anything for 4 weeks and suddenly he is informed that a signature is missing..u might hear from them anytime now..or may be one of the US consular officers is in luv with ur pic..in that case u might hav to wait till he gets over u..;)no time frame for that unfortunately..keep ur fingers crossed..i don't think there shld be a problem as they check all the docs at the time of interview..ur case is not under AP..i think this i...

      i haven't heard anything either..do u know any K-1 visa petitioners whose time extend ours??..when i compare wait time of CR1 visa people after 221 g.. its around 4 weeks to 5 weeks..any clue abt our average wait time?..i cant think of waiting 2 months (the time given by the consulate people)

    Hi, I was interviewed on 8th November 2012 for my k-1 visa..one document was missing which they ask to me to submit at my local VFS office..I submitted that on 15th nov along with 221g form..its 24th nov today and I have yet not received my passport stamped or any email asking me to collect my passport from the local vfs office.. Please help..is this delay normal..can i verify my status in detail.. regards, Swehun

    Hi, I was interviewed on 8th November 2012 for my k-1 visa..one document was missing which they ask to me to submit at my local VFS office..I submitted that on 15th nov along with 221g form..its 24th nov today and I have yet not received my passport stamped or any email asking me to collect my passport from the local vfs office.. Please help..is this delay normal..can i verify my status in detail.. regards, Swehun

      I have contacted them yesterday and they say that the process can take upto 2 months..it is normally 7 working days but as i was asked for additional document under 221g (administrative processing) it take additional time..which is max 2 months..they claim it will be processed much before that..lets see..i m keeping my fingers crossed

      what makes me feel better is that the delay is normal..but there are few people who get their visa in 7 to 10 days so at times I feel like asking ..WHY ME?
