Our Story
My wife and I were married in Canada on June 14, 2004, since then we have navigated the immigration process with much lonliness and depression. My wife has been denied entry into the United States three times for failing to prove adquate ties to Canada. (No paystubs, rent receipts etc.) Her first time, she told the customs offical she was visiting for two weeks, problem was, she has a month's worth of clothing. Our mistake. US Customs informed my wife upon making her third attempt to visit me (yet another mistake on both our parts) that if she tried to enter the US one more time without the proper Visa, she could be barred for five years. To summarize, due to new Visa Provisions in the K3 Visa program, I will be filing the I-130 at the Vermont Service Center on Sept 5, 2005. After I recieve my NOA, I will be filing form I1-29F. Since I do not currently make enough to support her, my Father has offered to sign on as joint sponsor until I can boost my income levels a bit. We have a six month old kitten named Missy that she will be bringing with her, we picked her up for free when she was only two months old. My wife and I have now been married for just over a year and have been "together" for just over two years as of August 6, 2003. We met online and proved everybody wrong that online relationships CAN work. Since the day we met, my wife and I have exchanged dozens of letters, e-mails, poems, cards and I have made about four trips up to Canada staying an average of two months each time. Our dedication and comittment to each other is a testament to the fact that when love strikes you, there is no stopping it. With iron willed persistence, long distance, online, foreign relationships CAN and HAVE been proven to succeed the test of time.
