I saw that Green Card Holders can apply for US Citizenship 90 days before they complete their 5 years tenure in the USA. In my case, I will complete 5 years stay in USA on Dec 24th. So that means I can apply on Sept 24th for my US citizenship. My question is can I start entering my details in the N-400 Application now and save it for the time being, then submit it on Sept 24th or after. I hope the submission date is considered the filing date, right? I hope the date I open the form is not considered the filing date... Do you have any idea?

Hi All, being a US citizen, I am thinking of applying green card for my brother soon. As we know that for any adult brother/sister is takes at least 12-14 years to get the green card which is a long span of time. Right now my brother is unmarried but he will get married within a couple of years. I want to know, if I can add my brother's to be wife in his green card application as a life changing event after a couple of years while his GreenCard application is under process?
Thanks for any information if you could provide!

Hi all, My PD is Feb 2013, Can anybody tell me when will my PD be current again? Me and my husband could not arrange all the required documents within 8th Sept 2013 PD. Now we have submitted all the documents and waiting for the case complete confirmation.
Is there any chance for my PD to be current in Aug?
EVEN WITH THIS, can I file N400 application 90 days earlier than the 5 year anniversary?

Thank you all for your replies...I now checked from this official USCIS link https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator where it says in the first line "The information in this part ONLY relates to your time as a permanent resident if you file under Section 319(a) and 316(a) of the INA"
Section 319(a) is if I file as a wife to my husband, in which case the 90-day rule can't be applied in this case because of the above reason I mentioned in my earlier post above.
Section 316(a) is if I file as a permanent resident myself based upon the 5 years anniversary (slated for 12/24/2019), in that case the 90-day early filing can be applied.
Thank you all again!
