But what about the citizenship for her husband? Won't it effect him that his spouse is illegal in the country?
-
Hi!
I'm really trying to help my friend here who barely speaks English and is in a difficult situation. She came to US on a tourist visa, got married to LPR then got her visa extended for 6 months more. During that period of time she got pregnant and due to a difficult pregnancy and doctors recommendations she couldn't leave the country. So she ended up staying illegally in the country. Her daughter was born in US and is a US citizen. My friend and her husband hired the lawyer who says that the husband can apply for the citizenship next year June and then they can adjust her status as well. But by that time she'll be in the country illegally for almost 3.5 years. So my question is what are her husband chances to get a citizenship having his wife being in the country illegally? And what will happen if she'll try to file for AOS now? I really appreciate all the thoughts and advices regarding this topic. Thank you in advance

I see the 1st July filer was approved yesterday!! Let's hope we all hear back soon!!
Cannot really understand how they choose the cases to work on, coz i see some of June filers still haven't been approved. But these are great news, if July filers start to be approved!!!

Same here! We filed July 10, so we're hoping at least by the New Year!
It makes me feel so much better that there are people who understand how much it means and how difficult it is to wait for so long!

The only thing i ever wanted was to be with him and it doesn't matter where. The only time in my entire 30 years life i went to US was because of him, not because i wanted to be in this country.

Hi to everyone. Just wanted to tell our story and to ask for your opinion, coz i'm getting more and more nervous day by day.
We met each other on vacation in Mexico in March and since then we are together. In May we decided to apply for F1 for me coz my carrier was currently on pause. So my boyfriend (fiancee now) was listed as a sponsor and a family friend in all my papers. I was denied coz i didn't have strong ties to my country. I was very depressed. After one month my boyfriend proposed to me, we hired the lawyer and filed our petition for K1 on the 18th of July. According to our timeline we can get our approval very soon, but the closer we are to the date the more anxious i get! Cannot sleep, cannot think about anything else. We have a very strong K1 case - in these 9 months he came 4 times to my country, i went to US for 1 month (before F1 denial), we visited Canada and Mexico together, we have millions of pictures, tickets, e-mails, mails.. But i'm really going crazy about my previous denial, that was a real shock for me and still is. So can anybody tell me how can it really effects my K1 visa and what are the possible information they still keep from F1? What kind of questions can a CO ask me about that denial?

In my I-129F, i typed it in Russian letters, our lawyer told me that it was right to do, but if you an American citizen already then i'm not sure. Although if any of your papers like birth certficate is in Russian then i think it would be smart to write it in Russian as well

Here i go again with my negative thinking...
i had my interview few days ago, i cnt help but have this big question going inside my confused and stressed mind...after i was interviewed by the CO , he ends it by saying "ok your request is pending for administrative review, you can go back to your seat and wait for your number on the board and go to the designated window for the result" i didnt care to ask him if im approved or not coz of the compliments he gave to my baby's paper works and esp my documents too.. At the last window , the guy who was there didnt give me any paper but he told me that its ok to go home and just wait for text from 2go for the delivery info...thats it! But what's been bothering me since this aftie is a question???? DID I REALLY PASSED THE INTERVIEW??? Why would the CO said the word PENDING for AR? Should he give me 221g if im lacking any documents right? Or should the guy from the last window wouldnt say that i just need to wait for the delivery of my visa? Im really confuseddddd.... Anyone here help me understand and calm my disturbed mind.....
I'm pretty sure, u are approved. If not they would tell you about it.
Impact of reckless driving on naturalization
in US Citizenship General Discussion
Posted
Hi!
I was just about to file out my papers to start naturalization process when both, me and my US citizen husband, got a reckless driving ticket at the same time (i was following him on the road i didn't know). We live in the state of Virginia there reckless driving is considered to be a misdemeanor, so it's a very serious offense. We hired an attorney to help us with this situation but still there is a risk that it won't be that easy, although we have absolutely clean driving histories.
So, i need your opinion - should i wait for a trial or send papers for naturalization now?
And what kind of impact reckless driving on my record can put on my naturalization process?
Thank you!
