You cant have a valid two visa at same time. its either you go through the process of the K1 or via the Visa Lottery. Just make up your mind and discuss with your wife.

I would advice you go through the process of the Visa lottery. You will have your freedom without stress in case your wife decide to change tomorrow. However it is also very important that you maintain communication with her since she love you and you guys were already in the process of bringing you over before you won the lottery so i advice you remain with her and let the love you two got grow.

Perhaps even if u come with the lottery you will still need a place to stay and its entirely a different culture here which means u need someone from here to put you through. so stick with her BUT make sure you arrive with the visa lottery process.

ya, I walked bigdog through this card problem also - he had a lot of fun with useless infopass appointments and talking on the phone with the USCIS not--so--helpful call center. The fix for this is easy - submit an I-90 with a letter of explanation, and stick it all in the mail.

The cool bits for a CR-1 visa holder - the stamp in the passport endorses the visa to be utilized as a temporary, 1 year green card, for a year past the POE date - so this lovely couple has up to a year to get this fixed.

The only thing that was written on my passport at POE was CRI and Admitted. Nothing again was written like expiration or whatever. I guess its Gods doing. I have a friend was issued 10 instead of 2yr and he has been in US for almost 2 yrs plus and hasn't changed anything.

I just received my Green card and it says 10 yrs. while it was suppose to be 2 yr until we remove condition. But in my case, The Custom and Boarder Protection officer only stamped me entry and wrote CR1. on my letter, they said if i receive a visa that has to remove condition, i should file 90 days before the expiration but if i receive a visa without ROC i should file for re-entry whenever i am leaving the US and staying more than a yr.

Create an account with ELIS, then you can try call the USCIS to verify again if K's are actually exempted from paying.

My Green card arrived yesterday for the first time. I entered into the united states on June with a CR1 visa while my marriage is just a 1 plus some months, to my greatest surprise i saw 10 yrs on my green card. I was thinking it will be 2 yrs then after ROC i then receive 10 but i was surprised to see ten yrs which will expire by yr 2023!

My question is thus: has anyone have same situation with me? do i need to do anything? when can i apply for citizenship?

In my interview letter it mentioned (Bring your financial evidence). My wife sent me her affidavit of support and her tax return, unfortunately my wife forgot to sign a copy of the AOS she sent to me. Now the question is: Is there any implication if i present the unsigned OAS to the embassy since they already have a signed copy of her AOS during the NVC stage.

(2) would the embassy accept a scanned copy the AOS.

(3) since i have her federal income tax return, is there any need to still present the OAS

You dont need to expose your little baby with the airport hustle and other defects, all u need to do is to make sure your papers are okay, let your husband prepare very well, he should know everything about you and your family and he should appear at the interview with relevant and required documents and then he should back it up with prayers, once he has done this other things shall go well.

even if u go to the interview they might not allow you in. even if go and he didnt answer correctly the questions that he will be asked then it still make no meaning. so keep your little baby with you and then just pray for you hubby. all will be well.
