  1. Did you already receive an interview letter from NVC?

Yes. I actually did the interview way back in 2011 because my PD was current back in Dec 2010.

The officer gave you the correct answer.

Since you filed to adjust when your PD was first current AND before Retrogression, your CSPA age was frozen under 21.

You've got nothing to worry about.

Thank you so much! This is really important to me. So the next step would be waiting to receive my GC? Does anyone have the same situation with me and got GC already? Thank you!

  2. Hi everyone,

I have a big question about retrogression and the problem of being aged out.

My birthday is 9/1/1990, so I am already 22 at this moment.

    Here is my info:

    Birthday: 09/01/1990

    PD: 07/16/2010 (I hate how they cutoff Nov's bulletin on 07/15 =.=)

    July, 2010 - Filed I-130

Nov 28, 2010 - Got a letter from USCIS that I can adjust my status through I-485

Dec, 2010 - Filed I-485 for adjustment of status to permanent resident

    Jan, 2011 - PD Retrogression

Jan, 2011 - Got a letter to get a biometric fingerprint done

Feb, 2011 - Went for the biometric fingerprint

Mar, 2011 - Get a letter to go for an interview

Apr, 2011 - Interview with the representative in California (I think it went well)

After the interview, I asked the representative if my age will be frozen coz at that time I was still under 21, he said yes.

Apr,2011 - Present: WAITED FOR SO LONG BUT NOW I HAVE AGED OUT! T_T There are a lot of uncertainties that drives me crazy and hopefully anyone of you can answer my question.

NEXT STEP: wait for GC in mail or approval?

My PD will become current in December, 2012.

Will I still get my green card? Just need to confirm this because I am trying to find a job since I am graduating.

I read this article too, I hope someone can interpret this for me more clearly:

    http://socyberty.com/issues/visa-retrogression-effect-on-the-child-status-protection-act/

Looks like if your PD was current back in 2010, your age is basically frozen. but not sure....

If you don't know any information, please let me know where I can call to confirm this.

    Thanks for your help!!!!!
