Hi.
Are there any January 2015 filers that still haven't received their biometrics appointment either?
I filed January 10 and I'm still waiting. I called the NSC and they said they can't tell me if it was sent or not, but that I should get an answer in the next 15-24 days. I am starting to get worried that they sent it and I just never got it, and my case will be considered abandoned.
On top of that, I can't check my case status online! It says my case number can't be recognized...
Does anyone else have this problem?
Thank you!

Hey.
How did you find out about this?
I am a January 2015 filer and I still haven't received my biometrics appointment...
I would really appreciate an answer.
Thank you!

We had our interview today at the NY office in Holtsville! The people there are the nicest ever!
We were approved on the spot, already got a stamp on my passport, as we leave on a trip tomorrow morning.
Couldn't be any happier with the way the USCIS managed our application.
We did it all by ourselves and everything went smoothly.
We got the best Valentine's present ever!
Good luck to everybody!

Hey November 2012 filers!
Just got my EAD/AP card yesterday. It came right on my birthday, amazing!
I have my interview on the 14 th of February.
I am really pleased with how fast the process has been in my case and I really hope it will be like this until the end.
I hope everybody gets their cards as soon as possible!
Good luck,
Neina.

I've heard that once approved you can request to get the stamp in your passport on the spot, especially if you have scheduled travel arrangements that you can prove. just take an itinerary with you.
Thank you so so much! That is awesome!
I am not that concerned anymore, since today my status changed to "card/document production". Yay!!!!

Congratulations, I'm very happy you have an answer at last!
Not to be a debbie downer, but PLEASE do NOT leave the country unless your card is in hand and correct. If there are any errors at all it can and will cause issues on your attempt to re-enter the country and could even prevent you from re-entering entirely. Play it safe!
Thank you so much for your advice!
I know, I will not leave until I have it in hand and everything is correct. I have read a lot of bad stories about it, so I am really scared of taking unnecessary risks.
Thank you again!

They have 90 days to make a decision from when you file, then you of course need to receive the document. Given it's a mission trip you may be able to talk to them about expediting it however you might just have to 'sit and wait'. Obviously it goes without saying that under NO circumstances should you leave the country without AP but I think an InfoPass appointment might be the way to go here
So the weirdest thing just happened.
After posting my message here out of desperation, calling the USCIS and asking for an update and also making an InfoPass appointment, guess what?
A few minutes ago I got the texts saying that my EAD/AP has been approved!
Unbelievable!
Thank you for your reply, anyway!
I am so so happy!!!

Hi everybody.
I am a November 2012 filer and I already have an interview date for February 14th. The problem is I have also filed for a travel document and still haven't gotten any update on it or the EAD.
From what I've researched, it should get here before the interview, but from how things are moving, I feel like I'm gonna get my green card even before the EAD and travel document are approved. That makes no sense to me, since the entire idea of the travel document is to allow you to travel before you get your green card.
I am really worried, since I am supposed to fly out to Nicaragua to do a mission trip on the 15th of February.
Thank you so much for any reply.

What happened in the end? When did you get your NOA?

Oh, I see.
Yes, I sent it to Vermont.
I heard they were running behind, but I just saw people that applied after me already got their biometrics appointment and I was concerned. But I'll wait, there's not much else I can do, since I already called the NSC.
Thank you so much for your response!
