  1. Hi Bethany. Yep, send an email to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com with your PASSPORT UID as subject and you will get an instant reply. I was able to track mine that way. It took a week before it was handed over to the courier, and even then, I still wasn't able to track mine on their website with my UID and case number so I emailed 2go and they gave me the tracking number, and viola! I got my passport the very next day after it was handed over. Don't worry. I was as anxious as you were then. But you will have it soon! :)

  2. Hi. I'm still in the Philippines, but I will be going to U.S via K1 visa in December. I'm just wondering what's the best first thing I should do when I get there. I read some posts saying they got their SSN first before getting married because it's also a requirements for getting a marriage license, but is it possible to get married first and then get your SSN? I'm planning to use my husband's surname after being married so I'm worried I'd have to go back again to change my name on my SSN. Can you help me out guys?

  3. Sorry for asking. What is iud?

    Unique Identification Number

You can use it to track your passport/visa online. You can use your UID passport number or MNL case number.

It didn't work for me, but a week after my interview, I called the embassy and assured me that it was handed to the courier, I sent an email to 2go courier and they gave me a tracking number and that one finally worked. :) Good luck! :)

  4. Hi. Well, I waited for 45 days (1 1/2 months) for my interview. I also wanted to schedule my interview earlier than that but there were no available dates anymore. All were taken. And yep, there are a lot of people scheduling their interviews on a daily basis so once you see the closest slot, schedule yours! There's nothing you can do but wait anyway. Calling them would be the same thing. It's ok. I know you've waited long enough but time will run so fast. Goodluck!

  5. congrata!

you can just have it photocopy with the whole thing on it, I recently went to cfo and just handed them over my photocopied IDS and it went fine. As they all know that we cannot detach that original IDS from the packet.

Also, let's try to converse in English as we all know lot of native English speaker browsing the forum :)

Was there so many people waiting when you had yours? I'm worried about going for my CFO cause I know they have limit each session, meeting.

  6. finally picked up my visa.. though at a very far 2go branch not same on what i chose 2go branch.. anyways im happy that i finally have it in my hands.. anyways, to those who had their cfo seminar do i need to bring the immigrant data summary? its says in the packet do not detach how can i bring it to the seminar or just have it photocopied?tnx...

Congrats! Kelan ung interview mo? Ilang days bago mo nakuha visa mo? Thanks in advance!

  7. Is she doing this on your behalf, or is she your co-sponsor?

There are really no guidelines on answering the I-134 affidavit of support. You just have to answer it as honest as you can. You do not have to list all your assets, just the important matters such as your annual income and so on for them to determine that you can support your fiance when she gets to U.S.

It can be very tricky though. because most I-134 samples online are for tourist visa.

    NOTE:

*For number 11 question, just write N/A for K1 visa

  8. Sure, i am aware of that. They got our documents on the 25th, and we were approved ( according to the ladies I have talked with, and processing to be printed since the 31 ) We had a national holiday, you are in ber months... i know all to well that there has only been about 7 business days that they have had to work on it. Perhaps I am over thinking it...

BTW, I am not the one who worries ( although from reading my posts you would assume otherwise ) she is the one who freaks out most of the time, but I must admit that this recent delay after almost 1 year of this process just kills me to no end. So, perhaps it is my time to be the crazy one! lol :)

How long have you been waiting? when did your interview go down?

I had my interview last Friday, Nov. 09 in Manila, How long have you been waiting?

  9. ours have changed from origination scan/ returned to post/ ready for pickup/ and now out for delivery? #######

Same here! I think it was ready for pick-up at the Embassy by the courier. And now, it's ready for delivery. I think we should be getting an update tomorrow by the courier service and have the passport/visa in our hands the same day or by Monday at least. This is it!!!

  10. Done that, heard that, checked them all, called them all emailed them all.

They are ignoring our emails now, when I do call they answer and then say call back at the end of the week, and no status change on ANY site. 2go says its not there and the Embassy says its being processed but is approved. So while I appreciate you trying to help I have done all of this, read the websites, talked to people, talked to people who just did it and completed, talked to people who did it previously.... all of them say that 12 days from approval to 2go is pretty bad. I just wrote my congressman today ( i know that will do nothing ) but something should be done to look at the way things are ran. If the Philippines is getting as much traffic as it is they should be boosting people in that region that they can handle that volume better. What kills me is that we are doing this the legal way, while legislation is in the works that will take illegal people and make them legal who are already here... yet I am still enduring these hardships and ensuring that we are patient and kind. The worst part, is hearing my fiancee cry and ask me why we cant be together sooner and I am unable to answer her... other than "we just have to wait mahal ko". It breaks my heart... to have to say those things.... when all i want to do is give her the world. *sighs*

I understand this situation. Probably, most of us here are in this circumstances. It's out of our control. And yes we are doing everything we can in a legal way but yep, everything is very slow. Takes months for this thing to be approved, another weeks to wait for this letter, more weeks to wait for the interview, and just when you thought it's almost over, you'll realize you've only just began. :(

  11. It means that your passport is still at the Embassy and 2GO hasn't picked it up yet. 2GO will pick it up when the Embassy has it ready. When 2GO picks it up, they'll text you and then they'll deliver it in a day or two.

Mine always say different things. Right now, it says "The current status of your passport is Origination Scan." I don't really know what this mean but I tried calling the U.S. Embassy too. They said it's still being processed. Oh my. I guess it takes longer than what we expect.

  12. Me too, am trying to track my visa at 2go but it didn't work, i interviewed last Nov.7, but till now i don't have my passport..so i called them and the customer service says that USEM still not forwarded to them...am worried because my fiance got my ticket for Nov. 18...and also my fiance called to USEM to verify what happened to my visa and the USEM says that it is in still in process... :(:(

Have you tried emailing ur passport number to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com?
