Hi all
After the visa is issued, how long it took for DX to deliver your passport?
Thank you!
-
Does your CEAC status say "issued"?
Nope. My one still says "refused". I spoke with the clinic and they said consulate received the results of the 2nd Medical on the 31st July and my passport was also received on the 31st July.

I've e-mailed the embassy last Friday and still no reply.

Hi All
That's me again! lol
I've re-done the medicals (as my previous one expired) and sent my passport to the consulate (i've already had my interview back in January). Spoke with the clinic and they informed that medical results were sent and received on the 31st July. My passport also arrived on the 31st July.
However, I haven't had any changes on the CEAC website apart from one on the 1st August, but is still saying "refused" (I had to apply for a Waiver of Inadmissibility and was approved). I called DoS and they informed that update was because they received my passport but they are still waiting for the results of the medical.
We need to be there before the 2nd week of August because our son will start his new school. I have e-mailed them and also sent a cover letter with my passport, but I am now getting frustrated as I have no answer nor another way to communicate with them.
Can anyone give me some insight on what should I do next?
Thanks Again!

Sorry to hear that, I am on the same boat. But, me case is a bit different as I had my interview back in January, my visa was refused, I had to apply for a Waiver and was approved. Because of the amount of time, my medicals expired and I had to re-do it. It was done and received and the embassy on the 31st July and also my passport via DX. Since them, I haven't heard anything and I don't know which other way to contact them.

Thanks Anna. I just called the number you provided and they said the update was because they received my passport. They are still waiting for the medical results. I called the clinic this morning and they informed that the Consulate received it yesterday...hope is not lost somewhere there.

Hi All
As most of you know, my visa was refused because of unlawful presence. I applied for the Waiver and it was approved. London received my approval notice and asked for me to re-do the medicals. Medicals was done on the 26th July. I called the Clinic and they informed the results was received by the Consulate yesterday. DX collected my passport on the 29th July.
From the day of my interview, my CEAC case is still saying "refused", however, the last update was today (1st august) but is still saying "refused".
Does anyone know when should I expect to see the status changed to "issued"?
Thanks again for all the help!

The medical people don't care really about the date of the photo if it looks like you. How do they know when a photo was taken?
It is the embassy that says 6 months. My husband used his from the petition. The grumpy Asian document lady looked at him suspiciously and said "How old is this photo?" he answered "I don't remember...couple of month's." No further issue about it.
Queen--I've seen photos of you with really white hair and more golden blonde with chickenpox. Take a passport photo that looks most like you look now. If it is the one from the petition and still looks like you, it will be fine for the medical. At the medical they REALLY don't care what size you bring. It also doesn't have to be the same photo you take for the visa if they both look like you currently look.
the grump Asian woman is from the consulate? The one who collects the docs before the interview? If so, I had her as well. It was not a very pleasant experience!

now I am confused! DX came and collected my passport on July 29th. When I called for arrange a collection, I paid for the collection and delivery. Now I am getting quite confused about if it will be really delivered to my home.

I have also included a cover letter with my passport kindly asking if the visa can be issues asap as the commencement of the school year is 2nd week of August and our son also need to do a test assessment to they can be certain in which class group they place him (the UK and US academic grades are different).

Definitely not bronchitis, just tickly cough every now and then, especially in the office with the ac blasting. I am very allergic to dust and polen, so this weather is not helping!

well I hope it doesn't happen to me! I think my cough is just allergic. It is a dry cough as we are experiencing very hot summer and dry.

Hi All
Just would like to know if they are only looking for TB or anything else?
I might have a chest infection and going to my GP in the morning, so if this is the case and he prescribe antibiotics, would this delay anything?
Thanks for all your help

how do you know your passport will be arriving tomorrow?
-
OMG for your interview date to the visa to be delivered tomorrow it was pretty quick!! congratulations!!

Thanks for your reply. Do you know how long it takes for the medical to reach the embassy? I can't remember when I did the first time...looking at your timeline it looks like you should be receiving your passport soon?!

Hi all
I have finally got the instruction letter from London on what to do after my Waiver got approved. I have to re-do chest x-ray and blood tests. I will be going to get the medical done next Friday (26th July) and planning to send the passport on Saturday.
Does anyone have an idea on how long should I expect to have my passport back with the visa on it? Some people say it can take 7-10 days, do they follow this timeline or it actually takes longer?
Thank you all again!
-
Thank you all for all the replies. Yes that is the trick part. The medical PDF says that x-ray is valid for 6 months. I am 15 days over the 6 months and with the lack of communication from London now I don't know what to do.
It's been 15 days since my Waiver approval. I know I don't have to re-do the medical (vaccines etc) as they are valid for 12 months. I am not on a K-1 visa, so I don't know if this should apply. Well, I guess I have to wait and see if I get an answer, as I emailed Tuesday last week and yet haven't had a response. My son is about to loose his place at school if we don't get there by the 30th July.

Hi AllI had my medical done January 3rd this year. My visa was refused due to unlawful presence, filled the waiver and was approved July 2nd.Still haven't heard from London yet with what I need to do next. We are running tight on time and due to school reasons, we need to be in the US by 29th July.I called the clinic today and they don't have a appointment unitl the 25th July plus 4 working days until London receive it etc...Any of you know if I can get this x-ray done in the US instead of the UK? I have been just 15 days over the 6 months time-frame for the x-ray.I am freaking out at the moment as London does not answer to both e-mail that I sent (with the code provided by the customer service) and I don't know what else to do.I will appreciate any help. Thanks

Exactly. We are running low on money with all this immigration expenses. If was was living in London I would just go ahead and do it, but unfortunately is not the case.
So now, I am trying to find out which other way I can contact them apart from an e-mail.
Hopefully they will reply to the e-mail I send yesterday soon.

I paid DX the week before the 29th July to collect and delivery my passport. My case now says "Issued" I had my interview back in January and because of some delays with my process I was just able to get it completed weeks ago. Now I am worried that DX wont delivery my passport. Any ideas?
