Uscis website has posted that my husbands I765 is being delivered and we should have it by tomorrow, but when I check the status for I-131 the website still has initial review. Does that mean he has been denied for his travel permit? We have filed his I-765,I-131,I-485 all together. Any help would be appreciated

Fiance has been here 2 weeks today
Now we need to apply for his social security card so we can get married and he can get a DL etc. I have no idea what documents i need to bring or if there is a particular order in which to do things. Anybody who has been through the process of getting these 2 items if you could give me the rundown of what to do it would be greatly appreciated

Think it was 1500jmd and it took them 4 weeks to give my man his. Good luck

So finally after being in AP for 4 weeks and being misled by the ceac website they have issued my fiancé's visa!!!!
So glad this part is over hoping to have him here with me by Monday.
-
My fiance had his interview Jan 14th and all they told him we needed was joint sponsor, so we sent them all the paper work. They called him to drop his passport off on Feb 7th and its still not ready as of last week so it can take any amount of time the deem necessary to process it. Good Luck I hope they are quicker with yours then ours because this waiting has been 10 x more difficult than waiting in the past

If I were you I would be calling the dos. The ceac website is NOT accurate at all. It has my fiancé visa update issued twice...once on feb 27th and again yesterday, but when I call they are still saying its in AP. So I wouldnt go by the website at all. I hope they are faster with yours then they have been with ours. They have had his papers for 3 weeks now and nothing. Good Luck

So lately because our case is in AP I have been calling the DOS multiple times a day inquiring about the status of the visa. I don't know if its just me but many times when I call I speak to a young lady who is very rude and has to say the least a very abrasive attitude
. I spoke with a very nice lady Tuesday morning and I was so refreshed by her caring demeanor alone that I had to express to her how much of a pleasure it was speaking with her. I briefly explained to her that the majority of the time I call I have spoken with this rude woman, and she told me if I spoke with her again to get her name and complain to a supervisor. I called this afternoon and who did I get? That damn girl with the worst attitude i've come across in a long time, finally having enough after she belittled me for asking a question on why our case says issued online but isn't actually ready I asked for her supervisor. I explained to the man I spoke with what has been happening every time I speak with her, and how frustrating it is to be in the situation im already in and having to call up there and speak to people who are a**holes. Long story short im sure he didn't care but at least I spoke up this time. I will be extremely overjoyed when this process is finally over, its taking a lot out of me

AMEN but until I do probably guna need me a glass of wine or 2

Thanks so much Bree Im just glad I learned that lesson something was telling me to make sure because of your situation so I called and they told me it wasn't ready. Maybe Monday or some time next week im going to make them sick of me just like im sick of them. I was praying that your man gets here in time for your birthday because I know how hard it is to spend your special day without your special someone so I was very happy to hear your great news. I'll keep you updated on our progress or lack there of

Make sure you call dos and make sure its really issued because the website said the same thing when I checked it Wednesday but when I called today they said we were still in AP so they are very unorganized and that website is unreliable at times good luck

Now I know not to trust anything I see on this website I have gotten my hopes up for nothing notifying my friends and family that it should be soon because the website said his visa had been issued and printed but when I called today it hadn't been. I just don't understand how a system that has so many visas going through it at any given time can be so unorganized!!
Why aren't these people held to a higher standard of service? I have read some horror stories on here about the same situation ive just experienced and it takes them weeks and weeks later until it is actually issued. Shame on whoever is responsible for this system and how broken it is I am disgusted with the level of service we have received it is going to be a bad weekend for me

Alright I will try my best to be patient you guys really are vital in this journey just having a place to vent my frustrations has been a blessing I will keep my file updated so you know if anything changes soon

We have been waiting since January 15,2013...It's very frustrating but hang in there you are not alone....you can try calling the US Department of State to get the most accurate info about where your case is in the process although they can't give you specifics as to why it may be in AP...I emailed the Embassy 3 times over the last several weeks and just finally today got a response from them but it was very generic saying "when the visa package is ready it will be sent to DHL and the recipient will be notified"...not very helpful since when I check online for the status it has been saying "Issued" and printed since February 5, 2013 and was updated on Feb 15 but DOS says "it hasn't been printed yet and sometimes that site is not accurate since it is new"...When my fiance last was at the Embassy on Tuesday Feb 5th (every week for 3 weeks they would call him requesting something else like fingerprints and then signing a statement that we wouldn't get married in Jamaica) they told him the signature was the last thing they needed and everything else was packaged and ready to go to DHL so I don't understand why as of today it still has not been sent...I wish I had an answer for you but at least you know your not the only one...I have talked to several others that have been going through the same thing with the Jamaican Embassy and from what I have seen the longest in AP was about 5 weeks...we are in week 5 so hopefully we will get ours soon and if we do I will let you know...
Thanks everyone for your input I guess there is nothing I can do but more waiting so let it begin

So its been since Feb 7th when my man dropped his passport off at the embassy in Kingston, I was informed yesterday that I could check the status online at ceac so I did so yesterday for the first time and it said that as of feb 12th his case was in administrative processing.... ok found out what that meant and figured maybe it was just a thing that week but I checked back today and its been updated to the same thing:( Has anyone elses case been put in admin processing? What is this for and why is his case in this stage? Does everybody case have to go through it or just a select unlucky few????Please let me know if you have experienced this and how long it takes after this stage to get your actual visa

My man dropped his passport off at the embassy in the afternoon on Feb.7th and received a tracking number, but ive been checking the dhl website and everytime I try to track it dhl says "No result found for your DHL query. Please try again". Is there a certain amount of time I have to wait until I can see movement on it, or should I be concerned and have him get in touch with the field office???

I really don't know I'm still waiting on interview date. How long did it take you to get a interview date?
It took about a week and a half after they got the ds230, then the interview its self was scheduled 6 weeks out

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES THE JAMAICAN EMBASSY TO HAVE THE ACTUAL VISA TO THE PERSON AFTER THEIR INTERVIEW? AND IS IT BEST TO TELL THEM AT THE INTERVIEW THAT YOU DO HAVE TRAVEL PLANS? ALSO WONDERING IF IT IS BEST FOR ME TO HAVE HIM PICK IT UP AT DHL OR HAVE THEM SEND IT? REALLY TRYING TO GET SOME SORT OF IDEA ON WHEN THINGS SHOULD BE READY BECAUSE IVE JUST STARTED A NEW JOB AND I CANT GET ANY TIME OFF TO PICK HIM UP SO IVE PLANNED FOR THE 1ST WEEKEND IN FEB

I received my NOA2 on sept 4th 2012 and a week later got my letter from the NVC stating that they where forwarding my case to the Kingston Embassy in Jamaica. Since then we've heard nothing!!!! I was told by the company I hired to prepare his k-1 that it only takes a matter of a week or two to send him the checklists but he hasnt received anything and its been 2 months!!!! I dont know what steps to take to insure that there isnt some major delay in our process that I dont know about? Is it common for Kingston to take this long to send the checklist out???Do they really respond to the e-mails in a timely matter?? If anybody has some insight I would greatly appreciate it
I765 APPROVED AND IN TRANSIT BUT NO WORD ON I131
