our case updated two days in row. yesterday and Today too. Is it a good sign? Has it happened to anyone else before?

I am on the same boat. Case was updated on Sep 10, 19, 26, and 27....

My status was also updated on July 18th exactly one month after the previous update. I also did not contact the embassy this time around.

Fingers crossed.. Inshallah will pray for all of you...

It is kind of funny how things work. My wife's interview was a month ago and I thought I had a full proof case. Everything perfectly aligned with what they required. My wife nailed all the questions during the interview but still got the dreaded green sheet.

You know what the funny thing is; 2 of my brothers also got married in paksitan and both of my sister-in-law's got their visa right there and then. I followed the exact same pattern but as you can see, I got different results.

Honestly, I think it depends on the CO mood. If he woke up on the wrong side of the bed, then good luck with the visa.

I just have my fingers crossed and hoping that I have the patience to bear this.

The green sheet means her case is in administrative processing. The visa is temporarily refused. The fact that they kept the passport means they expect to approve the visa later if their extra checks are OK. It is likely that they are doing extra security checks on people she knows. These checks are usually resolved within 60 days but may be shorter or longer, depending on what, if anything, they turn up. If she needs her passport for travel, she can request it back, but she will need to send it in again when all checks are complete and they request it again.

My wife just came out of the interview, she said that she got the green sheet and was told that she will be replied in 2-4 weeks.. she also took the oath...

does that mean she is approved...

Anyone know how I can know when my case files have reached the US embassy in ISLAMABAD? If I cann NVC, will they be able to tell me this info?

Needed some information for the interview and the consulate told me to ask back when they have received the case files!

I see that most of them were asked for their Nikkahnama in urdu, but what does one do if their original nikkahnama was in english? It is certified with the appropriate seal and everything!

Was the original Marriage Certificate in Urdu? Did you send in the translation?

We sent in the original Urdu Nikkahnama with the registration number stamped at the top and english translation with all the seals.

My Nikkahnama was actualy all in english, so did not need a translation.

I did send in the Nadra issued Marriage registration Certificate!

Do you think it would suffice? I had my father-in-law visit the JamatKhana and they said that the fist copy and the fourth copy are always sent to the government and this is the case for everyone. They said that they wont write a letter stating so since that has never been a part of their process!

Any idea on what I should do?

Hello all,

Let me explain my situation.

I just received my appointment letter (really excited) and it states on the letter that I need to provide to them my marriage certificate. Here is what I have already sent to them:

1. Original Marriage certificate issued by the Government of Sindh

2. An Original Nikkahnama issued by the religion authority or JamaatKhana. The only problem is that it states Duplicate at the top.

3. A letter explaining why I was not able to send the Original Nikkahnama. It basically states that the original is kept by the issuing authority and the duplicate version is Bride's copy and Triplicate is the Groom's copy. All three versions are exactly the same with signatures from all witnesses, bride, and groom along with the appropriate seal and stamps. None of them are copies.

Is there anyone else that has run into this issue? I would appreciate any guidance!

I am still waiting on an interview date from my embassy.. can't believe it.. MY case of deemed completed on march 8... been 3 weeks and no updates....

Concern:

I just received a checklist to send the original marriage certificate. I had sent them a government issued marriage certificate and the bride's copy from the religious authority. So once the whole thing is done with AOS and IV sent, do they send an email saying that your case is complete and is being sent to the embassy? I asked the rep and she said they they only send the packet to the embassy when they hv the interview scheduled. Is this true? I just want to know what to expect now..

Stupid question, if my husband is the only intending immigrant, and my income is my sole sponsor, I should use the I-864EZ? Why have I only just discovered this form right now? That last question was rhetorical. The first was not.

Got my IV invoiced today... but unfortunately the portal is not working.. says that there is a data error so cant pay the fees....

I'm betting that "false" checklist is in response to them accepting your AOS package!! Call them up asap to confirm!! Still open for almost 3 more hours!

Woohooo. this means AOS approved, DS 3032 approved...Onyl things remaining are to pay the IV fees and send out the package....Getting closer and really excited now....

I got an email that my DS 3032 has been approved but a few hours later I got a checklist saying that NVC is waiting on the Choice of agent form..

I am suppose to ignore it right ?

For packages, takes anywhere from 1-2 weeks. You have been calling once a day to inquire about it, right?
