The were so many times that I was impatient and angry about this whole visa process. All the unfairness during the process that we experienced. Being so depressed when I would see others

being approved while I was sitting and waiting. But it just goes to show you there is definitely light at the end of the tunnel if we have the patience to get there. I started my relationship with my now husband in february 2005 and wasn't able to file for k-1 until March 2006. It seemed like it took forever even though it didn't. Finally, he had his interview and they said next week you will get the visa and finally after two weeks he got the call. Fouad arrived in the states in November 2006, we married in December 2006 and couldn't file the papers for AOS until late february 2007, then through the request for more information (co-sponsor) more waiting, then the letter the case was transferred to California... I thought oh no not again and how long before an interview then one day about a week ago We come home from work and there is a letter in the mail; my first thought was oh no what now; then as I felt the enevlope there seemed as if there was a card in it. I opened it and there was his green card no interview or change it status of our case. How thrilled I was, finally after all the disappointments we get a little nudge that people got while I was waiting. I guess the point to this whole story, lol, is Don't get discouraged that day will come for you or your loved one. Just be patient and believe what's meant to be is meant to be.

Good Luck to all those waiting to hear some news may your cases be more speedy.

    Alhamdulilah,

    Cheryl

  2. HI, I JUST HAVE A QUICK QUESTION IF ANYONE COULD BE SO KIND AS TO HELP ANSWER IT. WE FILED FOR AOS WITH A RECEIPT DATE OF MARCH 1, 2007 AT LEE'S SUMMIT MISSOURI WHERE WE WERE TOLD TO SEND THE PAPERS. I HAD TO GET A CO-SPONSOR WHICH WE DID AFTER RECEIVING THE RFE. IT WAS ABOUT 2-3 WEEKS AND WE RECEIVED A PAPER SAYING THAT IN ORDER TO SPEED UP PROCESSING WE HAVE TRANSFERRED THE ABOVE CARE TO THE CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER, LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA. DO THEY PROCESS I-485'S FOR AOS THAT ARE NOT WORK BASED? I MEAN WE WERE MARRIED THAT IS THE REASON WE FILED FOR AOS, NOT FOR WORK. SORRY MAYBE I AM CONFUSED THERE. WHEN I WENT ONLINE TO CHECK FOR PROCESSING TIMELINES IT STATES BESIDE THIS PROCESSING CENTER, WORK BASED AOS. SORRY IS THIS TURNS OUT TO BE A DUMB QUESTION  THANKS FOR ANY INFORMATION ANYONE MAY HAVE. I KNOW YOU ARE ALL LOADED WITH INFO

    HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY,

    CHERYL

  3. It is the norm in Casa. Lots of pepople who will tell you thier experiences here on VJ. It should last a week or two but sometimes there is a problem and it can last longer so don't worry just yet. Congratulations on having a good interview! (F)

Thanks so much for your words. I was thinking exactly that, just wanted to let my mind at ease a little I guess. I know when i call him to come online for a little while this morning I don't want to seem sad or worried so I just needed someone else thoughts to reinforce mine. Thanks so much.

  4. My fiance just had his interview this morning in casa and I had to work all day so I only got to talk with him on the phone and is much harder to understand everything over the phone not like in person or online. He was issued the 221g and an x put in the box beside needs more adminstrative processing. He asked her please we have been so crazily waiting and waiting for this day, and what can i tell her. She told him not to worry you will have your visa in one week or two. She told him she is contacting washington. Is this a good sign? Does this just mean they are waiting on security checks? She was very nice with him and he seemed happy when he left but when i looked at the paper it scared me. Please can someone tell me who has had a similar experience what happened with your case?

    Thanks, Chery

  5. Congratulations Noura :dance: I am so happy for you both. they were only a couple of days off since they said monday or tuesday, lol. Fouad had his interview today as well and it went well the lady was very nice with him and said to him not to worry he will get his visa and it will be next week or the following week. We are just awaiting the security check, she told him she is going to contact washington. So I am happy but will be truly happy when I hear for sure to they called him to bring his passport and get the visa in it. I was hoping it will be next week so that we can surprise the kids and get him here for halloween. I know it would truly make our 4 year old so happy. I told him this morning daddy will be here in about 3 weeks, he was hugging me and smiling so big. :P:dance::dance: Well we have made it this far, I wish all the others waiting like we did once a smooth road ahead.

    Hugs,

    Chery

  6.:dance: That is wonderful Noura! I can't believe it was over that fast. And he may have his visa before Fouad even gets his interview on thursday, wow. That is great news. I hope fouad's goes as smoothly as said's did. I am so very happy for you both. Have you already made plans on how long he will wait after he gets the visa to come here? Just curious  lol. I am crazy to get fouad here, and have you found any cheaper tickets??

    Hugs, Chery

  7. Can anyone help me please! I have tried to track our papers from NVC to Casablanca. I am not having any luck. The operator told me the case was sent on friday when I called friday. Then I tried to track it all weekend and nothing. I called again this afternoon and they confirmed it had been sent on Friday. I am using the track reference ,, ( expedite niv section) and putting in the date from the 11th until the 14. there have been things sent today, but casa was not on it. And I found nothing on Friday. Please can someone tell me where I am going wrong?

    Thanks,

    Chery

You both are very lucky to speed through this process. When I called after I read your post the lady just told me that haven't received any information yet and it takes 2-4 weeks. Thanks.

Well I guess there won't be any good news for me yet. I was also approved on July 31st. They aren't even saying they received it. How can the cases be so very different that they had already forwarded yours to the Embassy and still not received mine yet. Guess it's just the luck of the draw.

    Thanks for you help.

    Congratulations! :dance::dance::dance:

I got the sam response as you..... :( . Well at least we are away from USCIS purgatory...You can believe I'll be calling Monday

I am wondering if they update information in their system all day or just once a day..... I will for sure call back on Monday as well. I am thinking of calling again this evening after a few hours. Maybe I am just to anxious. I met my fiance 18 months ago almost, I guess I am just madly wanting to get our life on track. I have 5 children and they love him so much. My son turned 4yrs old last month and he thinks of fouad as is dad. He wants to be with him so much and that just rips at my heart. He asks things like mommy does daddy live in the computer? Mommy can we just break the computer to let daddy out so he can be with us here. The other day he wanted to run to dads house and I told him it is really far away and there is alot of water between us. He said well I can swim there! This is the hardest on the children. I guesss it is because they have all built a big bond with this wonderful man and him with them. Well sorry for getting off track. Maybe some good news on Monday for us.

  12. Hi all. There was alot of approvals on Monday it seems. I was online with my love when we received the email that we were approved as well. I am wondering since there are so many approvals all at once if it will slow down the process of going through NVC? What can we expect next? What is NVC'S actually role in this process? I mean do they set up the interview date or do they request anything from us? I was just so worried about the NOA2 that I truly don't know what to expect now. :P:blink::dance: I am so happy for all of those who have gotten approved today. Congratulations to all of you!!!:dance: Wow when CSC does it they really do it ;)

  13. Andreia and Chris - I am suspecting they are trying to cut the US Embassy's a break. I believe it was "vartan" who noticed that the country locations of the approved petitions are staggered. Review the VJ timelines and check it out. Only a few countries have two or more petitions approved, which is very interesting and probably the only logical thing they have done. Although there is still not a pattern to the madness, at least there's some logic. Now if they could get the good feeling going again and push through more petitions, we'd all sleep a little easier. At least until we begin to thing about the visa interview. AHHHHHH!!!!

    Uling,

You make a great councilor! :);)

I am just wondering if that could really be true because I haven't really seen any approved and sent to Morocco on your list. So they should be due some cases if that was infact the way they are handling things.
