Once your case closes at the NVC your case is immediatley sent via electronic as Jordan does everything electronic so just keep checking to see when your case closes with the NVC they will tell you it takes so many days to reach Jordan which is not true as they do it electronically so it never takes more then a day or two..Hope that helps

Hey everyone sorry I have been so absent but as you can see my husband arrived a month ago today and well we are still in our little honeymoon lol...Not to mention hes making up for the 8 months he missed of his sons life..Life is so good..anyways so he arrived on the 5th of February and turned his packet in at the port of entry at NYC..He just received 3 identical welcome notices in a row but NO GREEN CARD AND NO SOCIAL..Now we are aware that they don't always issue and send the social security number and card so we went to the social security office twice now..First time he hadn't been in the country for ten days meaning the systems hadn't merged yet..We were told to come back in ten days and we did but this time they said cause it was within 14 days of the date on his visa in passport. Now he is a permanent resident but was told now he has to wait for his greencard to apply for the social..He really wants to start working but cannot without this number...So now we were told my the USCIS that his welcome package should arrive within 30 days and it has not. Like I stated he got 3 welcome notices but not the card we called and they said after the 30 days which is today we can put in a service request. They also said according to their system it has not been mailed yet..So We are wondering has anyone gone through this and how long did it take for some of you to receive the green card in the mail? Thank you all

So happy we are done with all this..I haven't figured out what to wear or anything I guess it hasn't completely hit me yet..

I know but you know it is so hard not to worry. Yes they were wonderful they asked my husband 3 questions didn't ask to see anymore evidence etc..and was approved took less then 5 min and he got there at 730 and was done before 10 he didn't even have to wait. Oh and the guy was super nice.

Yayyyy I am so happy and so thankful for God and everyones support on here. My husband had his interview this morning in Amman Jordan and was approved, paid the fee and was told his visa will be ready in a week. Finally after such a long heartwretching year of seperation and having a child we can finally be a family again. He can finally meet his son who is now 8 months old. Thank you everyone for all your support and advice etc...When going through these immigration processes support and encouraging words make so much of a difference on those dark days...

so my husband and I seem like we are close to the end after being seperated for about a year and have a son he has not met yet. His interview is scheduled for Jan. 22 in Amman Jordan and I dont think I have ever beeen so nervous in my life and I am not even the one being interviewed lol..Hes nervous but not as much as me which I guess is a good thing. I am unable to attend so I will be patiently waiting his phone call. We just want to be a family again and he wants to finally meet his son who just turned 7 months end of december. I pray to God he gets approved on the spot and we can finally be a family again. Sorry just wanted to vent.

thank you...and my husbands priority date is feb 13th 2012 and it took a little over 8 months to get the NOA2...nothing was missing etc..just took them that long and his case closed at the NVC on Nov. 6th and his interview is scheduled for Jan 22 2013

my husbands going through a CR 1 spouse visa but I sent info without a formal request. I was pregnant and was so absent minded and only sent the petition and money nothing else lol..so I contacted USCIS and they put in a request stating petitioner has papers ready and about a week later they sent me a letter with an address as to where to mail the papers i wished to submit and I never received a formal request for evidence after and all of the documents were linked with the petition no problem. Just make sure when you send the papers have a copy of your first NOA1 receipt with it that has the number linked to your case and a copy of the letter they send u as to where to mail everything and make sure the receipt copy is on top then the letter and you will be fine..

Hi ok this is for anyone who has went through the visa process in Jordan. We are going through CR-1 process and my husbands interview is in 2 weeks. We have the medical and police certificate but found out recently they now request the certificate of personal record. Anyone who has been through the process my husband is not sure where to get this. Anyone know please? Thank you

like i said it is not like i just visited him for a week i lived in jordan and worked there etc for almost a year and about the petitions like i stated the only reason we knew the k3 was still being processed was cause he received an interview package on dec 17th and the interview was scheduled dec 3rd and yes we have a cr1 interview scheduled its in a couple weeks jan 22nd like i said he received the other packet after the interview he wouldnt have attended it though as we wish to proceed with the cr1 but we have tried to notify the embassy and have gotten no response about why the k3 was still processed and with his interview in a couple weeks its so nerve racking we just want to be a family again i havent seen my husband in almost a year and we have a 7 month old son who he has not met yet and we are just trying to avoid any delays on our part when its in their hands it is out of our control i just dont want a delay that we could have avoided
-
so you guys are talking about these fast approvals with your petitions, ours took over 8 months for approval and not cause anything was missing etc..it just took them that long hopefully they did enough of a security check then so we dont get put on AP
-
Hey M<3 R I hope not either But u see thats the thing we have already started a family we have a son who just turned 7 months who has yet to meet daddy I came home to have the baby due to veterans benefits it will just kill us if we have to wait any longer he just wants to meet his son
-
sorry i have to post from my phone and the period button is broken, I am just asking if it will look suspicious that I have only visited Jordan once although the one time I did stay for almost a year? And also both petitions were approved same time and we were told the K3 would automatically cancel and it did not he received an interview packet for it after the scheduled interview and we have not received any response from his embassy as if it is cancelled now or not but no matter we wish to proceed with his I130 interview the end of this month anyways thanks
-
what country? And i think it just depends on what the AP was for missing documents or more security checks my husbands interview is jan 22nd and from Jordan and with a MENA country its a good chance of AP
-
Jan 26th will be one year I have not seen my husband and we have a beautiful baby boy 7 months he has not even met yet...Its so hard but his interview is Jan 22nd I pray to God all goes well...seperation from the ones we love are never easy
-
ok so my husbands interview is jan 22 in Jordan and we originally file both petitions and both approved same time well we were told by both NVC and the embassy the K3 would be cancelled and the I130 would automatically get processed which the k3 never got cancelled was still processed anyways so my question is when he goes to his CR1 interview in a couple weeks and they see the K3 visa interview was missed and only because he got the notice package dec 17th and the interview was dec 3rd so even if we wanted to that route he missed it anyways will it be a prob we have contaced the NVC and embassy and have gotten no response from the embassy so not sure whats going on there and my other question they may ask my husband how many times I have been to Jordan well once but I lived there for almost a year and came home to have our baby due to veterans benefits so will it look odd that I have only been there once if I lived there for almost a year though and we have only been married a year and a half thanks any tips are appreciated

yeah my husbands is jan 22nd and same thing it makes me confused as to why they want all this stuff again since i sent it all except obviously the medical exam I am just going to send my husband with it all again what can it hurt lol
Marriage issue
in Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits
Posted
Ok So I am not sure if I am posting in the right location regarding my topic. My husband arrived in the states almost two years ago, and now we are looking at either a legal separation or divorce. He is not the same man he was before. We have a 2 1/2 year old son together, that doesnt even like his daddy, he tells me all the time daddy is mean, daddy scares me...My husband has become so mean so aggressive, he is refusing to help me with any bills, he wont finish his schooling to get his GED..He is working part time at a 7/11 and hanging around the worst types of people. Now I have been trying so hard to make this work I love him to death. He refused marriage counseling at first then agreed to it. Last night we had a huge blow out I left this morning with our son and will be staying with my mom for a few days. Now I was wondering how any of this will affect his green card he has the two year one and we are coming up on the date we are suppose to start filing to remove the probabtionary status off his greencard so on and so on. He really has been so mean to our son, he is not beating him or anything but screams and swears at him etc..our son is legit scared of his own father. I dont even know what to say to our son when he says momma I dont like daddy, I am scared. How do react to that, it breaks my heart. Anyways there is quite a bit more to this story, so I am just asking for some guidance and if anyone has ever been through something similar. I feel as though my husband just cannot handle this culture he hates it here but was staying for me and our son now that he doesnt care about us anymore I would like him to go back to Jordan just for a little while, cause maybe then he will appreciate everything he had here. Anyways I need help and answers please. I am so lost and hopeless as what to do. If anyone wants more to the story please ask, I am at work trying to type this fast LOL!!
thanks Fiona
