I got my passport with visa back today. Exactly one week after interview.

What does it mean if he congratulates right away, does he do it for all applicants ? Or will the passport gets dispatched asap... or still it may get delayed for some reasons.. ?

The congratulations means my interview was successful and I will be granted a visa. All immigrants applicants should be given visas unless otherwise proven by the applicant beyond doubt that he/ she should not be granted a visa because the aim of the interview is not to disqualify but to grant visas which is our rights. I was asked to pick up my passport in a week time from a particular collection center. There is no unnecessary delay since all the required documents has been provided both at the NVC and during the interview.

I had my interview today. These are the questions asked:

Who petitioned you?

How long has he been in the US?

When was the last time I saw him?

How many brothers and sisters do I have?

How many of them are married?

The C.O then said congratulations you are approved.

Anyone has knowledge about my concerns, please respond ?

You need to submit tax return from both sponsors just for last year. Also you don't need to submit DS-260 again unless otherwise stated in your interview letter.

I got my I/L now. Interview date is 6th Nov. PD is 25th May 2007. I am so happy.

I have not received I/L yet. Still waiting on NVC.

How long does it take to get IV fee invoiced? We submitted our Ds-261 last September 9, 2014. I was really hoping we could've paid the old fees. I guess it's too late for that.

What is your PD?

Received IL after 5pm today appointment is on September 15th at 7:30am.

I totally agree. If F2B keeps advancing that fast, it will be current in 2 years. Lol

I believe the advancement in the F2B category is to generate more visa numbers, then it will retrogress. Also it will discourage people from converting to F1.

One week is better than no movement at all. However no future prediction is made. We are all at the mercy of NVC. God will surely help us.

All i am saying this does not look good usually by the 10th of the month the bulletin would be out not even that did not come out as yet. Waiting when you are close to the end is usually the hardest.

You should get an I/L now or give NVC a call.

The only thing to do now is to keep our fingers crossed and wait for the VB to be out.

Thank you all for the support you all shown me, and the guidance to get me through this lengthy process. It was a long and frustrating journey, however you all made it bearable with positive thinking and the information on timeline. I pray we all get iL's by Sept VB. Let's keep our hopes high cos with God anything is possible.

No they are not accurate. They are just assumed dates which may or may not reached. The dates are being predicted based on previous information/movement

To everyone waiting for IL, please hang in there. I know how nerve-racking this tedious wait can be, but, trust me, there's light at the end of the tunnel. This is just to let y'all know that i got my visa too! Praise God! My interview was on the 12th of July and everything went smoothly. The questions asked were the basic ones and all I tendered were my int'l passport, police cert. and two passport photos. God bless y'all!

The date is just a prediction, movement could be more or less. With the information at our disposal we are sure of one week movement unless more letters go out before the VB is out

I am really expecting a huge jump in the VB movement this month. However with NVC, nothing can be predicted. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

The F2B case is similar to the F2A case. I guess their P.d is advancing because a lot of them have not completed their cases and there might be a need to retrogress their p.d later because this had happened to the F1 before.

Anyway next month will be better and more people in this forum will be smiling.

If it's more than 2 weeks you would have gotten the i/l. Unfortunately there is nobody in the forum who has a p.d within the two weeks period.

it's going to be 2 weeks movement for this month.

My PD is May 2006 as F1

My question is: How many time to interview from this e-mail?

Up to six months at most. It may be earlier depending on their schedule.
