  1. Thanks a lot guys. It really helps and ease my worries... Thank you again. Wish me luck on my interview... God bless!

One more thing guys, my wife is 7mos pregnant and I have photos of her and our baby. Would it be a plus and CO won't ask me a lot of questions and documents like CEMAR from NSO?

  2. Same day of interview. Good luck to both of us. Hopefully our CO will be in good mood on that day. I don't have my CEMAR too from NSO but I do Cert of Marriage from California. Hope they won't ask it. Best of luck to us. ?

  3. Good eve guys,

I just have one concern. We get married in CA last 2012 a civil marriage then we have our church wedding here in the Phil last year 2013. My interview is scheduled this coming Monday Dec 1. My concern is do the CO will still ask my certificate of marriage from NSO? I dont have it right now. Our lawyer didn't inform us about it that we need to provide a copy of it. Hoping the CO will not ask for it. Anyone same situation with me? Thanks guys!

  5. hi everyone! its been awhile since i had a chance to go on visa journey its because i just came back from my long vacation to be with my husband. anyway, just an update, we received a checklist on april 14, 2014... it was a singapore police clearance for my husband, the process took 2 months to secure the police clearance. we have sent the response to our checklist on july 3 and based on the tracking the package was delivered to NVC on july 7, 2014.... does anybody know how long do we get an interview notice? and do we received an email or a letter? i hope someone can help or answer me with my question. thanks! :)

  6. hi everyone, i have received a checklist from NVC that they need my husband's COC from Singapore as what we expected. It says on the Singapore Police Force website that in order for us to obtain COC from Singapore we need a letter from the requesting office that specifies the need of the clearance and states explicitly that "a statutory declaration of no criminal conviction by the applicant is not acceptable as evidence that he/she does not have a criminal conviction". does anybody know how to respond on this checklist and how to get the form of letter they are talking about? do i need to call NVC and ask for the letter or what???? please anyone enlighten me on this! thanks in advance.

  7. You're welcome.

I guess when you've been here as long as I have, (and since I spend most if not all of my free time in winter on the computer instead of in the gym like I should) and see the same question over and over again... it does get annoying. I made it big and bold so everyone would know that they can look up this item in the wiki. :D

Searching is your friend IMHO. :D Everyone learns better by doing it themselves.

Sorry again if I had to ask. I just want to know if anyone has been through to the same situation as me and would like to give me some information on how they obtain the COC. Sorry if you are annoyed. But thank you too for the info.

  8. Have you looked on the reciprocity table on the NVC website?

    http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/submit/documents-to-submit-to-nvc.html

    http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country.html

    finally

    http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/SN.html#docs

Everyone who has lived in more than one country can look up the country's requirements to obtain police certificates or any other documents needed from the reciprocity table.

    http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country.html

THIS IS IN THE WIKI!!!!!! READ THE WIKI!!!!

thank you for this. and i am sorry if i had to ask.

  9. is there anyone here can give me some info or help how to obtain singapore police clearance? although aos and iv packets are still under review in nvc, i just want to get ahead and know on how to get coc in singapore since my husband used to work there for 2 years. and for sure we will be getting a checklist from nvc stating to get coc from singapore since we weren't able to submit one with the packets that we sent to nvc. is there anyone going through this problem or can give me information on what to do? i would really appreciate any replies or help. thanks in advance.

  10. You can send in your AOS and IV documents before you fill out the DS-260. Since you already have the fees paid there shouldnt be any problem.

Some people have sent their supporting documents before the bill shows as paid, others wait - it really is up to you. I send in my AOS documents after that fee showed as paid and then my IV documents after I got the notification that my IV bill was ready and then filled out the DS-260 a couple days later. I didn't have any problems.

thank you for the reply. i checked online but my lawyer have already completed the ds260 and im guessing it has already been sent to nvc since it shows a green check mark and it shows completed. but i have reviewed some of the info on the ds260 that my laywer sent, there was some typos and some wrong information. can that still be edited or not?

then i accidentally hit the sign button on the top for the ds260, would there be any effect on it?
