  1. I have flown on tickets bought by others, and I have bought others tickets and the only thing they need is for you to have the proper identification to prove you are the person named on the ticket and when travelling internationally, to have your passport and visa (when applicable). I've never heard of an airline requiring the Credit Card or ID of the purchaser before. Hotels require it, and will call for concerts and sporting events, but Airlines are only concerned with the traveler listed on the ticket, not the purchaser.

if anyone has ever been made to show this information, I'd really be interested in hearing the story behind it.

I would add though, if they do require it (which I don't believe they would), it would be in the fine print of the purchase agreement. Read through that and if you don't see anything pertaining to your question, then you are fine.

Because i read somewhere here that others are being asked for that. Thats why i want to make sure.

I will be flying with delta too, my fiance sent me a copy of his cc and id :)

    When's ur flight? :)

  2. I got there at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, expecting I would be the 2nd or 3rd person there, but lo and behold, a line was already formed with over a dozen people! We stood waiting for two hours (I felt sorry for the pregnant woman in line with me) until the doors were opened. We were ushered in and the guard checked my papers (he looked for a photocopy of my passport, visa, one valid ID, NSO, and NBI). He took one valid ID and gave me a pink "CFO ID" to wear around my neck.

We sat down in front of some counters for two more hours until he announced that people with pink CFO ID's go to the 9th floor. We took the elevator to the 8th floor and then the stairs to the 9th floor. A nice old woman with glasses gave us forms to fill out (this is different from the online form) which asked for basic personal information about me and my fiance (birthdate, contact details, mother's maiden name, etc.) and a few ones like "What are your some of your concerns about living abroad" which had multiple choice answers like "Different culture", "Isolation/boredom/homesickness", etc. I was the first to pass my form, and the woman took my passport, my online registration form, and the papers that the guard downstairs checked for. She told me to wait and took other people's papers. After a while she called my name, took my picture, and told me to wait again.

After an hour, our counselor showed up holding our passports with the papers and called us one by one for the one-on-one interview. This is the tricky part because she can ask basically anything she wants from you. I was armed with everything - I already had the visa in my passport, all of my documents (NSO, NBI, CENOMAR, parent's advice - she didn't ask for this, which was weird because I am only 24), even my fiance's passport bio page! What she asked for was pictures of me and my fiance. Now this was the one thing I didn't bring because I was of the understanding that this was a SEMINAR, not an INTERVIEW. I could understand if this was required for those without the visa yet, but for Pete's sake, I had already passed my real interview with the US embassy proving our bona fide relationship and the visa was in my passport to prove it! I showed her photos on my iPhone, but she wanted hard copies (3 to be exact).

The seminar finished around 11:30 a.m. but I had to take a cab to Robinson's, have the photos printed at Netopia, and take a cab back to the CFO office. I finished around 2 p.m., dying from sleepiness and hunger (drama!). All in all, it was a bad experience, but I'm just glad it's over. :)

Hi! Is it ok to just pass a photocopy of cenomar? Or they need an original copy? Thanks

  3. Hi! Gud am.. I hope this links will help you on your interview... I signed the Ds156 form days before the interview. You may sign it on the day of your interview before going inside the embassy. ds156k will be signed in front of the Filipino consul.

  4. Here's what the U.S. Embassy Manila says about NBI clearances for K-1'ers:

NBI CLEARANCE. Applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid Record Clearance for Travel Abroad Purposes from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). Clearances should be in the applicant’s current name, birth certificate name, maiden name and any aliases or nicknames used, including different spellings you have used of those names. For immigration purposes, an NBI clearance is valid for one (1) year from the date it was issued. The NBI website is http://www.nbi.gov.ph.

Link to the USEM instructions for K-1'ers.

Hi again! Just got my nbi it says travel usa! Will it be fine? Thanks in advance

  5. I see that your I-129F petition was approved by the USCIS on December 19. Now it seems that you have received a letter from the NVC. Does that letter have your MNL case number on it? If so, then your fiancée should pay her visa application fee at BPI, then schedule an interview online, then complete her medical.

If you have not received your MNL case number from the NVC, then you should call them and get it.

When scheduling an interview online, print out the appointment confirmation. That's the document she needs to be admitted into St. Lukes for her medical, and she also needs it for her Embassy interview.

The only thing the Embassy sends to K-1'ers is a letter notifying the beneficiary that they are eligible to schedule an interview and giving the beneficiary instructions on how to prepare for the interview. However, don't wait around for the Embassy's letter because you will waste a lot of time waiting for it. Sometimes it never arrives. Instead, get your MNL case number, pay the visa application fee, schedule an interview, and complete the medical.

If you want to read the Embassy's letter, click here.

Thaks for your help will do that! Godbless
