He got deported because he was staying illegally in the US. He wasn't deported because of the traffic ticket.
Wait until you can afford to consult a lawyer.
I've spoken with a lawyer already and he told me it could be possible.
I just want your guys opinion on if its a good idea or not.

What was the infraction? They don't just arrest subjects for a traffic ticket. Was it more serious then speeding? Did they pull him over and run his name to find out he was here illegally?
drving on suspended license was why they arrested him. We live in arizona by the way so no need to be doing anythoing to get pulled over here.
he never had a visa his parents brought him here in 1997.
What kind of visa was he using then? Did he overstay in the US?
he never had a visa to begin with

It depends on the reason why your fiancee was deported.
He was arrested for a traffic ticket nothing more. He's been in Mexico almost 3 years already

Ok here is my dilemma I have the money to file the petition myself but my fiance was deported before so I'm not sure if it would be wise to do it alone.
I was going to start the petition in January when I had the money for a lawyer but I'm sick of waiting.
What do you guys think.
Should I do it alone or wait until I have the money for a lawyer.

Thank you for your response. I just wanted to be sure were not the only couples with ups and downs. Things have definitely been harder since its holiday season.

Hello everyone I decided to make this thread to get some insight on how you and your partner cope with everything going on.
Well to start off me and my fiance have been together almost 7 years we have a almost 5 year old who just started school this year. My fiance has been in Mexico almost 3 years. I initially moved with him but came back for school went back then came back and havent went back since. It's been almost a year that we haven't seen each other. We communicate mostly through texts and talk on the phone once a week.but its starting to get tough. I plan on starting our petition in January. Then I know there's gonna be another long wait.
So besideds my ramble what do you guys do to deal with what life's thrown at you with not being able to see your loved ones.

Me and my fiance been together 7 years now so trust me when I say my list can go on and on but everything that used to piss me off is what I miss the most. By the way its been 11 months since we last seen each other...

Also you might want to consider to start using a phone company that gives you a printout of the calls you make to Mexico. The calling cards are good but they will not show proof that the calls were made to him. I use uniontelecard.com but there are many out there. Even your mobile phone company may have cheap service to call Mexico and then the calls are documented when the time comes. I know Metro PCS and Tmobile have programs and I am sure many others do too.
im gonna try this website out thank you.

My phone company only has calls to landlines and he only has a cell phone. And as much as I would like a better phone company I know it would be a lot more expensive than phone cards. I know I'm sounding whiney I don't mean to.

Are you the USC? If you have a child together that is great proof and maybe you can show receipts of things your SO has bought for your child also. cards and letters, pictures and airline boarding passes.
The main thing right now is the proof that you both have been at the same place at the same time together at least once in the past 2 years from the date you filed.
Also has he ever been to the USA? If he has entered the USA without inspection at any time you might want to consult a lawyer before filing because he could has a ban placed against him for a period of time before he can enter again.
Yes I'm a USC so is my son. Me and my fiance have been together almost 7 years and the last 3 he's been in Mexico. I'm also using a lawyer. At this point I know it can get pricey but I think its for the best.
I have thousands of pictures of us
I have western union receipts. Bunches of texts
I haven't even started the process and I'm feeling over whelmed

Alexxas,
At this point you only have to prove you have met face to face at least once in the two years prior to filing the I-129F form. The proof of on going relationship will come into play during the interview process. That my friend will not happen until months after the I-129F form is filed as we all have a long waiting period. Question 18 on the I-129F form tells you to describe the circumstances under which you met. You also need to include the proof you met with your I-129F package. Mind you I am new at this process but this is what I have read on VisaJourney plus other web sites. Let me know if you have any questions or need any help.

Thank you. I wasn't sure at what point that came into play. I thought it was including in the first package you send in.

Also does it help that we have a child?
Most of the forums I've read on here the couples do not have a kid yet.
-
Have you filed your I-129F yet?
No I haven't got my process started yet. I want to make sure I have everything I need before I start.
-
Hello you guys.
What else can you use for proof. We have facebook msg. But there from january to April. Then I just have text messages between then and now.
I use phone cards when I call him because I have a cheap phone company.

Hello. I'm new to this site and I'm not really sure if I'm posting this in the right place but
I'm planning on hiring a lawyer but I'm not sure if the price us right. He's charging me 1500 to get the K1 visa started is this a good price. Also he helped my friend and her husband get his citizenship and I've also read up on him and the work he's done. So I know he's a good lawyer.
My other question is about the petition. I've been reading that peoples petitions get approved then the interview will bet set up.
So what is the petition being approved if you still need approval after that for the interview
could my husband having another child affect him getting a visa
