I got my noa on may 24th....the nvc received my package on june 7th, normally they takes 1-2 days to give a number and mail it to the consul...

Then seems takes more 15 days to set an interview date..

When your noa2 completes 15 days you make a call....

    And congrats

  3. Elizabeth and I are moving through our visa journey. We received our NOA2 on 5/24/13 and I called the National Visa Center this morning (6/7/13) and was told they received the paperwork from the Vermont Service Center. NVC informed me they are entering data for our file this morning and will forward the packet to the American Consulate's office in Ciudad Juarez.

Elizabeth and I met 7 years ago while she was working in the Atlanta area under her TN visa. We have dated since then and got engaged last July and started our K1 fiancee journey. Between all the different visa's that Elizabeth has plus what we know about the K1 we could write a book!

We wish God's Speed to everyone going through this process.

    thanks and God Bless everyone

Mam.. mine too is may 24th...I'll call them today and see if they have mine too ^^

  4. hello to all VJ members,

I just receave this letter from NVC:

    NVC Case Number: ALGxxxxxxxxxx

    Dear Sir or Madam:

The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing

of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner

and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment

until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of

the interview. Additional documentation requirements if applicable can be referenced at

    the following URL: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3742.html

    Sincerely,

    Director

    National Visa Center.

does it mean that my case is complete at NVC??

    THX for your respons.

I think so....u have your number u can send an email to your embassy with this number asking when is ur tinterview :))

    Good lucky

  5. Yes i have and jut the other day i recieved an email from USCIS saying that they have finally shipped my file to NVC. I have been through the ringer with this whole process, if you look at my timeline i waited over a year for my NOA2 but im not letting it get to me because i am getting so close to the end now which gives me a lot of hope.

Yeah I understand...and never lose the opportunity to fight for your rights.....and you did well contact someone for help you bcz they dont care about it....and hope you get ur interview soon..... I've been 14 months apart from my fiancé so I know very well what is wait so long...Thank God I got my petition approved soon, now just waiting the interview and finally 15 months after I'll be with him...wish u good lucky

  6. I was starting to worry about my case getting to NVC after NOA2 May 17th ... since there are a small but growing number of horror stories here about USCIS never sending the files on, or sending them to the wrong place, etc ... and some filers several days ahead of mine (May 18, 21, 24) had already gotten through NVC completely.

However, today when I called after the agonizing weekend of wondering whether I might be in for more delays, my case was there! Just today. Hasn't been shipped out yet but I did get my case number.

It took mine 17 calendar days after the NOA2 to just arrive at NVC. (10 business days, they say to allow 15 business days max.) If your NOA2 is only May 24, you're still within very normal times, I think!

Also note that CR1/IR1 cases are processed much more slowly. With spousal visas it seems to take on average of a month, if not two, to get to NVC. K-1 does go faster and is usually about 7-10 business days -- not calendar days.

Nice answer..so as I was telling I checked that they are processing may 18th...by my counts to friday mine will give 14 days and 17 monday..so I'm close....

  7. I know every case is different, but if you wanna have an idea about when your interview will be, I would suggest looking into members in the same Embassy as you. Doing a quick check, I see that, after the embassy receives your stuff, it takes around a month to the interview.

But at NVC its all cases from VSC and CSC..I just looked at the e timelines seems they are on day may 18th....If its right by june 7th or 10th I'll have my number. I wanted my interview was on july 9th...lets see...

  8. Has your file reached NVC yet? Sometimes uscis takes their pretty time to send it and then it can be in the mail room at NVC for a while before being dealt with...

My fiancé called them and they say to wait 15 days business....I checked at USCIS site and last update was in May 28th..

I waited 30 days at the NVC before they gave me a number and forwarded our case to the consulate concerned.

thats a long time....how long after ur interview was set? I'm just afraid it takes so long and I dont get an interview by july :\

  9. ive decided to contact my senator and see what she can do for me.

just wondering what u guys normally tell the senator when u call? what details are crucial to mention etc?

You got your NOA1 on Feb.. why do you want to contact her?

I think the normally time for your visa its 8 months.

    See this timeline

    http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?cfl=&id=141067

  10. I agree about they are doing both to keep the goal....and maybe its true some cases need more work....I'm feb filer, really wasnt expecting to see feb approved....anyway...I think the noa2 comes in the right time...

I wish everyone lucky ..I know its hard and dont jugde those are waiting for few months its not our fault if we get approved and remember that maybe most of them are a long time without their loved ones....

Just wish the good for the next and it will back to you

  11. I'm a July filer and don't even have an RFE yet! Infact just the other week I called them and they said to call back in 120 days if I haven't heard anything by then! Absolute joke!

it is.... but you cant use VJ as proof of approved after you..as I explained about the website and Portlandia said too "You can't file a service request if your NOA1 was after the stated date on the processing website. But they've not updated that since Feb 28. It's outrageous. But there doesn't seem to be any accountability, that's the worst part of it."

You should contact a congressman or someone to help...

  12. It may not be "many" left behind, but please be aware that it is AGONY for those people still waiting, with no idea about where their petitions even are (are they lost? misfiled? waterlogged? being passed around to the whole office and laughed at?) or if they will ever be touched, and with their congressmen REFUSING to help them. I feel so badly for everyone left behind. It is completely unfair and to gloss over them as "oh it's just a few" is very hurtful!

On a personal note I'm getting really really panicked, to the point of trembling. Every single petition around mine (WAC numbers) has been decided, and mine is still sitting untouched. I am fearing that I'm soon going to join the group of black-hole left-behind FOR NO REASON people, and I cry when I consider that I have no idea how to deal with that. It's only been a few days though, so I am praying (to the nonexistent god I don't even believe in!) that it will be touched today, tomorrow, anytime soon. I am going crazy and my stress levels are through the roof.

Hey I'm sorry I didn't want to hurt no one....I agree with you...I wish too know the reason why they do it....

In your place I'd be mad too because its passed a year I'm not with my fiancé and just God knows when we'll be together again....it has nothing to do with my NOA its about being apart for so long time.

And I really think you should try to contact all people that can help you....

I heard that USCIS update their site each 45 days..so today they just should do it but they didn't you know why? What you think will happen if they say they are processing nov?

They'll get a big problem to them bcz while they say they are still in july 18th everyone can call and they'll say we are still processing july...

I really feel bad for those are waiting for long time...the only thing I can do is pray bcz I do believe in God and I know He can make a miracle. I'm sorry if you never believed but if you just pray with a true heart and believe in Him unconditionally i know He can hears you and make your NOA2 come.....Make a test with Him ask and show Him you want to believe ...

  13. I wonder why CSC skips petitions, when I was viewing January I noticed they will work on 7 or 10 in a row .... then skip 1 or 2 and work on 7 or 10 more in a row.

would be interesting to know if all these skip petitions share something in common, possable red flags, criminal back ground that requires additional back ground checks , field work authorized , not organized and looks like more work , the petition is thicker then the book war and piece .....

They dont have exactly an organization...

I'm not too excited about they are on jan...bcz I knw they can back...so lets see what happens..in right time everyone will get the noa2....

I just posted it for give a view of what is happening now.

  14. There are a significant number of July - October filers that have not received an RFE nor an NOA1. Your charts even show this. So to say that they are going through Nov - Jan petitions because they have finished going through the earlier ones and are just waiting for the returned RFEs for those earlier months highly inaccurate.

Yeah I know..but if you look to VSC you can notice also they left like 20-30 cases behind....I dont know why they do it...but seems both centers when are with this number jump toother months.

I know my info isnt 100% but its just an idea of what is happening....I'd not be surprise if this week they back to aug or july....

We never know what they think
