  1. Hi guys,

I had my intervidew with the consulate on the 29th In the US embassy in Ireland. I am now waiting on the visa by post. I was wondering if any of you from ireland can tell me how they deliver your visa? Do they Deliver it by courier, and have you sign for it, or do they just stick it in your mail box?

And, on a separate note, Do i have to worry about getting in ESTA when I book my tickets, once I have the K1?

Any help will be much appreciated. thanks!

  2. Hi!,

Calling on all Irish peeps that went through a medical with Dr. Gleeson.

Does he issue a certified copy of the DS-3025 or a certified copy of the vaccinations to help with the adjustment of status process as stated in this paragraph in the K1 intstructions?

    "NOTE: Tip Regarding Vaccination Records

The K-1/2 beneficiary will be required by the embassy to have a "medical" done prior to the visa interview. Part of this interview will require that previous vaccinations are documented and potentially additional required vaccinations performed. Once this is complete the doctor will note this on a DS-3025 form that will be sent to the embassy. During the medical appointment request an official copy of the vaccination records from the physician (or a copy of the completed DS-3025 if they will give it to you) as this will be helpful to have on hand in the future (specifically it can be helpful when filing for Adjustment of Status if your DS-3025 form is not available). 3. Hi there,

I recently received my packet 3 and i have a few questions to all of you who are far more experienced.

It states in the instruction that i have to fill out the electronic form of DS-156 in duplicate and sign, the enclosed forms DS-156, Non Immigrant Visa Application.

Can anyone explain this to me?

do the packet 3 usually contain a copy of DS-156? because i never got one. maybe im supposed to print it off? and im supposed to print out 2?

    please help??

    thanks in advanced

  4. Hi there,

can anyone tell me what a uk police certificate from acpo contains. Does it contain all the previous addresses that you input in the application? or just your current one? any help would be appreciated. thanks

  5. I also opened them- some countries require that you do not open the envelope but I have not heard this about Ireland or Switzerland (funny, we had to get the same police certs!), unless something changed in the 5 years since I got mine.

hey, does it include in the certificate any of your previous addresses? or does it state just a bare minimum of information? what is exactly outlined in it?

If you could give me a brief explanation, that would be so helpful!

  6. Hi, I have the certificate here with me but never opened the envelope.

    So the answer is "no".

I did everything with Cork Garda over the phone and E-mail.

The officer told me to write a memo on:

    1. Your addresses in Ireland, with period mentioned

    2. The reason you need the certificate

    3. Name, current address, etc.

and send it via E-mail together with an image of your passport.

You should be able to get it ahead of time. And it's always better to move ahead.

Just explain an officer that you are in the US K-1 visa process.

You might be able to show them the NOA1 and 2.

I just wrote " to obtain a US visa to marry a US citizen" for the reason.

Did your Garda officer tell you, "you will have the cert in xx weeks"?

she said a couple of days. she was asking for the letter from the embassy which i havent recieved. She sent it on anyways, and she said shell contact me if she needs the file. I know her badge number so i might just call and email it to them. Itss cool that you got to work with the gardai through email

  7. I did get it from Garda earlier this year. But you cannot open the envelope as it will become invalid for the interview.

I gave them addresses where I used to live in the country.

An address was incomplete (couldn't remember) but the officer said it's ok with just as far as you remember.

Call or visit your local G

have you actually seen the certificate? I just returned from my local garda station and I didnt have the letter from the consulate that i have it but the girl has sent in on for me. It was a simple white form that i filled out. Is this the same one you had to fill out? did you need to bring a letter from the consulate as proof that you needed the cert, because im just working ahead here and i havent recieved that letter. I know though, that the NVC had sent it already and its on its way.
