i had a 2yr CPR and have filed i-751 but pending now for 2 years, i just got another 6months stamp and seeing if i could use that to join the military

all, want to know if i can join the army with a 6 month valid stamp in my passport?

my extension is pending !

it depends on your BCT area. i will go BCT ft jackson and I heard that they will ask ppl who need to file N-400 while applicant stays in reception. so... most of my friend filled out all paperworks over there. and while they were getting basic training then they received U.S. citizenship before bct finished... fort sil?(idk if its correct or not) if you go there they want you fill out all paperworks again and it will take so long time to get it until finish AIT or.. before AIT done..

it depends on.... and you may have i-551 stamp on your passport... good luck with it.. hope you can join any branch that you want..

i will be ship out may 26th.. I have my 10 yrs green card...and while I was pending case I was trying to give a shot for joining the army with i-551 stamp too...:/ but before you go to bct you may have to get green card as well...

wow, thats a long time, we filed the same month and year. i have not heard anything except last week, i got a stamp on my passport becos i needed to go to canada for work.

they told me security check pending and my case is on hold.

am sick and tired.

my i751 to remove conditions is pending with background check over 1.5 years now, i was told the background check is pending with fbi and they couldnt proceed with my case until the results are back.

alternatively is there a way i could get this resolved with a lawyer ?

guys, i went for an infopass on my case and was told, my biometrics has not come back from fbi yet, thats why my case is on hold. its a year and half now since i filled. am sick and tired.

anybody know how i can contact fbi and see whats going on ?

The gave me 1 year extension ( second year ), fixed my last name and nothing more.

ok cool... my last service request came in the mail Friday Nov 14th, and says "required security checks remain pending, until the results are back we cannot make a decision on your case"

i noticed 2 things:

1- now they write security checks, earlier they wrote background check pending, whats the difference btw background check and security check?

2- before the letters shows from the California center but this last request was sent from my local office address, does that mean my file has been sent there, or just random customer service?

am in just in a Limbo right now !

are you talking about online case status or online request ? they are 2 different things !

this is new to me , i have not seen an online response like this before, mine was just "background check pending" ..

i am going through the same issue, my ROC too is over a year now and i have tried all avenues. online request says pending background check too.

whats ur time line?

mine ended being transferred to CSC Nov 2013 but i filled Sept 2013.

I have filled the ombudsman and submitted, how long does it take for them to get back to you?

Try to contact your congressman. If the response came back because of the background check, let your representative office ask them to follow up and expedite the background check with the FBI. also, try to contact the ombudsman as well. You need to make preassure on them to complete your case. If the case was delayed due background checks only uscis can follow up with FBI
