  1. I'm getting married in march. Doesn't getting married automatically end your vawa case?

Or do we need to write a letter and tell them?

jesse007 you don't have a case number yet then to send a request withdrawing without a case number will be a big problem, because they won't be able to match your request to your case. Set up an appointment with infopass to figure out your situation.Good luck.

  2. Hello,

Last year I got married to my ex-wife in Feb 08th 2012. about a month later, she and her family starts to threaten me and abuse me verbally. I decided to get divorce with her as it had gone out of hand. Sometimes in June 2012, I have run into my current Fiance who is also a US citizen based on naturalization. We plan to get married in June 2013.

will there be any issue for our 2nd marriage green card process?

More info: My ex wife didn't file any immigration petition because the marriage didn't seem to work out.

My ex-wife refuses to file any forms, taxes..etc in order to get control over me. What I had was joint bank accounts, some photos throughout the 2 years dating ( I throw most of them away because I dont think I ever need it) and friends' affadavit. Do you think that is enough to prove the first marriage?

  3. jesse 007 you can change mailing address but the chande they update your address is bad.I am sick and tired to see people filing out form AR11 changing their address and they kept sending mail to the old address, just yesterday I had 2 cases like that. When you move to a different address despite sending AR11, I advise to send it at least 2 letters and to call them to make sure they updated. It's a mess when you move tho.Jesse007 call Vawa unit again, each 5 days call them! Give them 15 days and if you do not receive the prima facie in 15 days then you have to contact your congress person to help you with that.

    Sandranj,

It looks like asking help from my congress person is the last choice left for me because as you already know I have tried everything.

    Anyone,

who has contacted their congressmen for help before, is it free? And if u can, how?

    I live in WA state.

  4. DEWAVe,

That's really great man..I, on the otherhand, didn't have an access to her passport and her naturalization to proof her citizen.

Because of that It's been 2 months+ since I sent my package and they never give me NOA nor Prima Facie.

Even though I have her SSN and Driver License copy..I did ask them to look up her status for me..

But since October 4 2012, I never get anything from them..try email, phone call, follow up letter.

I barely have food to eat..at this point I can't apply for work permit either since I haven't got the NOA yet.

Good luck and hope your journey is going smooth

  5. Nth worse than sending your vawa form and never get an NOA. I think it's because I don't have a proof of my USC spouse but just her SSN n Driver license copy.

Today is exactly 2 months since I mailed the packet.

I should have filed vawa with I-485 to get work permit concurrently.

Now I have to wait till I hear sth back from them about my case, then I can apply I-485.

I have tried emails, phone calls, certified mail, but it just seems like they ignore me :(

Idk how long should I wait?
